THE HIGHLY INFORMATIVE NOTES

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we had a small but fun Unseemly Live Chat last night – in fact, it was quite lively and sparkling and we were only sorry that more weren’t there. However, those that were there were cherce, so a good time was had by all. We spoke of poutine and thongs and Swing Time and many other topics and it was all too too.

This Friday we’ll be doing more vocals – Miss Katherine Helmond and Miss Michelle Nicastro will be joining me in the studio and I will, of course, have a full report for you.

This Friday we will also have our latest Unseemly Interview up, Miss Christianne Tisdale, a delightful singer and actress. Also, in the next day or so we start a brand new little section here at haineshisway.com, called Juliana’s Journal. Juliana A. Hansen is a young actress and singer who moved to New York last year. I’ve used her on several albums, and she’s been making the rounds and auditioning for shows left and right and also right and left. Well, she got one of them, the national tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie, and I’ve asked her to do a journal of her experience and I think you will be delighted by it. If you’re a young performer starting out or an old curmudgeon like me, the details of casting and rehearsals and backstage are really fun and I hope you will enjoy it. We’re trying to get it up and running either later today or tomorrow and I’ll let you know how to find it as soon as we do. My goodness, these notes are highly informative today, aren’t they? They are just chockfull of highly informative things, aren’t they?

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because this section is simply filled with too may highly informative things for my taste.

If you’ve written an amazon.com review of either Benjamin Kritzer or Kritzerland and it hasn’t shown up yet, please take a moment and write a strong letter of complaint and send it directly to the following address: community-help@amazon.com. If they get enough of them, maybe they’ll actually update the site in terms of reader reviews and sales ranks, which they haven’t done in two weeks. Damn them, damn them all to hell.

The bees won’t give up, although there are only a few stragglers left. Richard Jones – Bee Killer, came back yesterday and gave these bees another dose of spray, but bees are not known for their intelligence and they’d rather die than actually go find a new home to bother. You can still hear a few of them up there, and one of them actually just buzzed, “Come and get me. Top of the world, Ma!”

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must attend to things, I must write, I must eat various and sundried foodstuffs, and I must finish watching Mr. Roman Polanski’s supremely strange film, Bitter Moon, about which more tomorrow. Today’s topic of discussion: When did you get your first very own radio, and what was your favorite station and disc jockey to listen to? Did you stick to your favorite station or did you twirl the dial and discover other stations with other kinds of music? And when and how did you discover classical music and jazz? Post away, my pretties, and I’ll be back often to check out your highly informative posts.
