TO CHAT OR NOT TO CHAT

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I have not been able to use the bathroom I normally use (the one connected to my bedroom) on account of the rather heinous smell of dead something-or-other. I’m told this will abate at some point but it’s pretty pungent in there. I’ve used several disinfectant deodorant sprays, which has helped, along with an air-freshener thing. Luckily, when the door is closed I can’t smell anything that emanates from there, so that is, at least, a blessing. Meanwhile, I’m using the other bathroom and shower. Isn’t that exciting? Isn’t that just too too?

It is gray out today, so maybe that means it will finally be cooling off. All this incessant heat hasn’t helped with the dead something-or-other. Surprisingly, despite the gray day, the singing bird is outside doing a chipper rendition of Stormy Weather.

I must keep these here notes short today because I am running late and must hie myself to the Oaks of Sherman. Once there, I shall be able to post until the cows come home.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because there is no time to waste and no waste to time. I would like to waste some of my waist, however, hence my diet.

Oh, dear, oh, dear, we have a bit of a conundrum. Here I thought that rescheduling the live chat for this evening was a safe bet. But it wasn’t as I just realized that I am going to Mr. Grant Geissman’s house to work on the Kritzerland CD. So, shall we postpone chat one more time to Wednesday at six or shall we keep it tonight – I’ll simply open the room but I won’t be able to be there for more than five minutes. Let me know your thoughts.

I’ve been watching the DVD of Silk Stockings and while I don’t think it’s such a wonderful movie, it does have wonderful things in it. I’ll post more once I’ve finished it.

I know that some of you have noticed that there is a bit of a “thing” going on with dear reader Dave and myself. I know some of you have seen what I’ve seen and I know that there are some of you who haven’t. So, I will say this: If there have been occasional times when I’ve misread anything into any of Dave’s posts then I apologize for doing so. This site should be a positive experience for everyone who comes here and the day it starts being something else is the day it goes away. We have become incredibly popular with the populace over the last few months and I feel pretty darn good about it. It takes a lot to set me off, but I will look more carefully at posts before I respond with a knee-jerk reaction, whether that reaction is called for or not. More I cannot do.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must hie myself to the Oaks of Sherman where I must work all the livelong day. Oh, and the pickup shoot we did yesterday went splendidly and the footage will be cut in this morning and will really help the piece. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorites of the big classic roadshow pictures of old? The ones that played reserved-seats-only. You don’t have to have seen them during their original run – but I’m talking about those 70mm or Cinerama or Todd AO movies that I used to crave. They included all-star extravaganzas, musicals, biblical epics, westerns and whatnot. Let’s have loads of lovely posts today, shall we – I’ll need them. And let me know if you’d like to chat tonight or tomorrow.
