LIKE A FAERIE PRINCESS ON SPEEDBALLS

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I spent all day yesterday unboxing and putting things away. I also alphabetized all the books, and have started making headway with the CDs. Not footway, mind you, or even neckway, no, I have started making headway. Of course, I’ve got another forty or fifty boxes to go and those boxes are all in the garage (I had them put there because at the time of the move I wasn’t sure my CD shelves would fit in the den closet – they did, but now all those boxes have to be carried into the house. Mr. Handy Man is coming this morning to do some things around here, and Mr. Direct TV is coming to hook up Direct TV. After that, I shall finish the book room completely (Mr. Handy Man is building some shelves in that closet, which will help me with DVD storage), then I shall finish the living room (the easiest room in the house, really) and then I shall begin hanging my various and sundried pictures. I’ve bought new towels to go with the new bathrooms, too. I feel by the end of this week things will look mostly normal and all the boxes, both empty and full will be out of the house. Isn’t that exciting? Isn’t that just too too?

I still haven’t had anyone tell me how the pool works, in terms of heat and lights, or the Jacuzzi in terms of heat. Hopefully that will happen in the next day or two. I’m trying to decide if I can live with my large long kitchen table. It worked perfectly in the other house but it’s really the wrong shape for this house and I’ll probably end up getting a smaller round or square butcher block table. I am so in need of a proper massage and to that end I am having one on Wednesday evening.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because I’ve heard that it’s simply the thing to do.

I’m working on the final replacement song, but I fear even if I finish it it won’t be going in for this run. I’ve also been working on one more What If and that won’t go in either. But, I’ll have them at the ready should we return in November.

Here is my decision: Should I get wind chimes. I’ve always loved them, but I’m worried that they’ll get annoying after a while. I need some hainsies/kimlets opinions on the subject. If the answer is yes, then where do I find such things? And where do I find a round or square butcher block table that’s not Ikea? And idea? Has anyone noticed that Ikea and Idea are the same word save for one letter? Don’t tell me that you can find out such things at any other site on all the Internet.

We had a lively and sparkling live chat last night – it was simply the place to be, don’t you know. I am just flitting about from subject to subject like a winged faerie on speedballs. Like a winged faerie on speedballs. Don’t tell me that you can read such a sentence at any other site on all the Internet.

Now wait just a darned minute, I was just told by a faerie princess on speedballs that we’ve got us a birthday to celebrate. So, let’s put on our pointy party hats and our colored tights and pantaloons, let’s break out the cheese slices and the ham chunks, let’s dance the Hora or the Ocarina, because today is dear reader Laura’s actual birthday. Let’s give a big haineshisway.com birthday cheer to our very own dear reader Laura, shall we? On the count of three: One, two, three – HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHEER TO OUR VERY OWN DEAR READER LAURA!!!

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must put away things, I must clean, I must organize, I must find time to eat various and sundried foodstuffs and then I must try to relax a bit, too, like a winged faerie on speedballs. Today’s topic of discussion: Who was your most inspiring teacher? What made this inspiring teacher so inspiring? Tell us all about it, and if the teacher’s inspiration is something that helped you in your life and/or career. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we? We shall.
