RUG STORY

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, what a lovely anniversary partay we had here at haineshisway.com. It was warm and fun and sweet and wonderful. But we must not rest on our laurels or even our hardys. I feel if we work really hard then soon we will be the most popular site on all the Internet. I have quite a busy day today, which begins early this morning, at which time I will be on my way to Vinnie’s to mix our Writer’s Block CD. I will then have them printed up and will have them to ship with the books, hopefully starting next week when we begin taking orders. After that, I must pick up the re-edited version of What If, which I then have to watch and approve posthaste. Then I must pick up some packages that I know are arriving tomorrow, and then I must buckle down Winsocki and write some pages. Yes, Virginia, it will be a very busy day, but doing stuff I like to do. I also hope to have news of our first New York signing in the next day or two. I also believe our press release will go out tomorrow, thanks to Marcy, the Marketing Lady. Isn’t that exciting? Isn’t that just too too?

Yesterday, I was very lethargic. Yes, you heard it here, dear readers, I was very lethargic. I did manage to get a few pages done, but it was slow going on account of I was very lethargic. Of course, reading all the excellent postings perked me right up, but then, within minutes, I felt lethargic again. I had the greatest urge to just get in bed and sleep, but I don’t do naps so I didn’t. Today I shall not be lethargic in the least, although I’m getting lethargic right now just writing this paragraph.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because soon I must hie myself to the Oaks of Sherman to mix a CD.

I’m quite excited about getting my just-purchased rug. My first choice of rug from Restoration Hardware was going to take eight weeks to be delivered. Since I wanted it here in time for my Christmas Eve do, that wasn’t acceptable. I then went to some rug stores, where I found some nice rugs which were almost triple the cost of the one in the Restoration Hardware catalog. But two days ago I got a Pottery Barn catalog, and they had quite a nice selection of rugs and I found one very close to the one I’d originally liked – and it will be here next Tuesday. It will really warm up the den environment quite nicely, I think.

Wasn’t that a nice rug story? I feel one needs a nice rug story every now and then. I believe that every now and then one should put on one’s smoking jacket and get a snifter of brandy or a glass of sherry and tell a nice rug story. Perhaps someday I’ll tell my favorite rug story – The Randy Vicar and the Ill-fitting Toupee.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must mix a CD, I must watch a re-edited DVD, I must fill blank pages with writing, and I must eat something at some point. I must also tell a few more rug stories. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any question you like, and we shall answer them to the best of our various and sundried abilities. Let’s have loads of lovely postings shall we? We shall.
