ALL THINGS FRUIT

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I must write these here notes in a hurry and then I must hie myself off to our casting session. It will probably be a full day, but I hope to be through no later than four, which means I’ll definitely get to attend the screening of Witness for the Prosecution. I will, of course, have a full report for you upon my return. Yesterday, true to form, I was awakened by a phone call just before nine. I then had to deal with many things, which I dealt with swiftly. Then Tammy came over and we chose what scenes to do for the audition. Then I left the home environment and bought a couple of new shirts at Armani Wells. Then I picked up some packages, and then I came back home and wrote up a storm. I’m really enjoying this particular short story, and no matter when I open the document, I always just jump right back into it, with relish or, at the very least, mustard. I then had dinner at Musso and Frank, then came home, watched a DVD and then took a Jacuzzi.

Last night I watched a DVD entitled Heaven Can Wait, a film of Ernst Lubitsch, starring Mr. Don Ameche and Miss Gene Tierney. I was really looking forward to it, since I have loved every Lubitsch film I’ve seen. I’m sorry to say that I did not love Heaven Can Wait. It just sort of sat there like so much fish, and it didn’t sparkle or have the usual Lubitsch laugh-out-loud moments that films like Trouble in Paradise, The Shop Around the Corner, and To Be or Not to Be have. My attention really wandered and whilst it was wandering I wondered why it wandered. Yes, you heard it here, dear readers, I wondered why it wandered, and then I wandered why it wondered. The DVD, from Criterion, sports a nice transfer with rich color, so if you’re a fan of the film, you should be in heaven. I, however, can wait.

What am I, Ebert and Roeper all of a sudden? Why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because I’ve got a casting session to go to, don’t you know?

Okay, dear readers, what day is it today? What’s that? I can’t hear you? Yes, that’s right, today is Saturday. And what happens on Saturday? Yes, that’s right – it’s the day we have our Unseemly Trivia Contest. So, without further ado or even ado annie, here is the question:

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, have a casting session, I must see lots of actors, I must come home and give a full report, I must pick up some packages, and I must attend a screening of Witness for the Prosecution. Today’s topic of discussion: I have never been a fan of fruit. I ask you, where else on all the Internet can you read such a sentence? Nowhere, that’s where. In any case, what are your all-time favorite fruits? Bananas? Oranges? Apples? Kiwis? And how do you like to eat them? Do you do special things to fruit, do you make fruit salads, compotes, pies? Yes, today is all things fruit here at haineshisway.com. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we?
