EQUILIBRIUM

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, my equilibrium is off. (And so is the message board’s – yes, the board is down because it is sick and our hosts are doing everything they can to fix the problem that’s been causing our woes all this time – I don’t know when it will be up, but hopefully sooner than later, so just keep checking back. If they can’t fix the big problem, they’re going to get rid of the first couple of years’ posts, which will fix the problem in the short term – while I’d hate for that to happen, if that’s what needs to get done then that’s what we’ll do). Yes, you heard it here, dear readers, my equilibrium is off. I don’t know why, really, but all things being equal, my equilibrium is off. I began feeling queasy an hour ago – I’m hoping it just goes away because, frankly, I would like my equilibrium to be on. So, I managed to get through yesterday without too much drama. Now if I can manage to get through today without too much drama and a little equilibrium, then I might be okay for the rest of the week. Yesterday, I awoke early, packaged up what needed to be packaged, and then did an errand and then shipped the packages, save for one overseas one that has to go out today. I then went to Mr. Grant Geissman’s to hear the rough version of what we’ve been working on for the Music Center. It was very good, I have him a few little fixes, and then I came home, where I began making notes for what I’m hoping will be my new book. I ate a spot of lunch, jogged, and then worked at the piano for a while. I had a few telephonic conversations, and then that was it for the day.

Last night I watched a motion picture on DVD entitled The Ox-Bow Incident. I’d never seen it before, and I’ve had the DVD for over two years, so I decided to finally watch the thing. It’s not quite the classic I’d been led to believe it was, but it’s very good, well directed by William Wellman, with wonderful performances by Henry Fonda and Dana Andrews. I was a little surprised by the film’s extremely brief running time of seventy-five minutes. The transfer is very good.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because my equilibrium is off and this section is a little queasy-looking right about now.

I hope I didn’t eat something bad. That would be bad. I shall try to go to sleep as soon as these here notes are posted, and hopefully I can get through the night okay.

Today I have lots of things to attend to, including meeting up with my editor to get him the Kevin Spirtas tapes, so we can start editing, perhaps even by the end of this week. We’ll also hopefully be able to start taking preorders for the Deceit DVD by the end of this week. Isn’t that exciting? Isn’t that just too too?

I’m really feeling strange, I must say. Or, to put it another way, I must say I’m feeling strange.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, turn my equilibrium back on, I must do errands, I must jog, if possible (depending on Ye Olde Equilibrium), I must attend to important matters, and I must have some important telephonic conversations. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings, and hopefully my equilibrium will be in fine shape soon.
