VALENTINE’S DAY

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, love is in the air, there is love in bloom, love is sweeping the country and the country is sweeping love, love walked in and saw the look of love and now people will say we’re in love for our love is here to stay and that’s our love story and I wish you love – and why? Well, I’ll tell you why, because why should I, BK, withhold such things from you dear readers? Love makes the world go round because today is Valentine’s Day, a sweetheart of a day, a day to French kiss and Greek hug. I, for one, will be giving out kisses to various and sundried passersby whether they want them or not. I am in a Valentine’s Day state of mind and no one is safe. I shall whisper sweet nothings in the ears of anyone who has ears. For those without ears I shall whisper sweet nothings in their noses. I shall be romantically romantic and my romance will travel hither, thither, and even yon. And, of course, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day right here at haineshisway.com with loads of lovely love and kisses. It will be hearts and flowers and candy and French kisses and Turkish caresses. Speaking of Turkish caresses, yesterday was another oddly odd day, with me getting caught up in some useless and pointless drama on a useless and pointless website board – I’m done with that, I think. Why bother, when we have the most wonderfully wonderful board on all the Internet, with intelligent people making interesting posts, and, more importantly, people who share knowledge and who aren’t afraid to actually learn something. Other than that, I finished writing what I was writing and printed out the first forty-one pages to give to my muse Margaret – she’s very busy right now, but I’m hoping we can connect in the next day or two, because I really don’t want to continue until she’s had a chance to read the pages. I also uploaded Joan Ryan’s CD to amazon and CD Baby, so that’s done. I shipped out all the signed CDs and a few store orders. I then supped with my pal Miss Jessica Rush, and we had a lovelier than lovely repast. She’s moving to New York, New York come Friday, and we’ll miss her, but hope that the move brings great things. After dinner, I finally came home and sat on my couch like so much fish.

Last night, I tried to watch several things on DVD. Did you ever have one of those nights when you just can’t get interested in anything? Last night was such a night. I started several movies but grew weary of them, so I ended up just listening to music and surfing the Internet.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because it’s time to continue our Valentine’s Day partay in the next section.

Has Cupid’s arrow struck anyone yet? Is anyone eating candy hearts? Is anyone French kissing and Armenian canoodling? And since it’s Valentine’s Day, think pink is our motto here at haineshisway.com.

Today, I shall be meeting with Miss Alet Taylor, then doing some writing, then attending a workshop of a new musical, then going out for supper. And, of course, spending time with all my hainsies/kimlets Valentines.

Tomorrow I meet with Miss Merissa Haddad to start planning her act, and then Friday I work with Miss Joan Ryan and then join Mr. Bert I. Gordon and his lovely daughter at the Ray Courts show. It’s an interesting array of folks this time around, so I’m looking forward to it.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, meet, write, see a workshop, sup, and be a sweetheart to one and all and also all and one. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings and loads of lovely love on this most pink of Valentine’s Days.
