WHAT’S WHAT

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I am back in Los Angeles, California, specifically in the City of Studio in the home environment. My flight was very fast and we got in twenty minutes early. Having that cushion enabled me to go to lost and found and guess what – I found what I lost. Yes, they had my expensive sunglasses, so there was a happy ending to that story. I got home, unpacked, and then gathered all the sheet music and took it over to Staples for Xeroxing. I also made the final decisions on who is singing what. I then had a sandwich and onion rings, then came back home. I kept thinking how nice it would be to relax, but alas, it was not to be. I went back to pick up the copies but they weren’t ready, so I just told them I’d pick them up in the morning. Then began the craziness of listening to the master of Carrie. Most of it sounded great, but I had a couple of issues with things and we’re going to try and do something about it today and tomorrow – fortunately we have plenty of time to do so. But it took hours of phone calls with both mastering and tape transfer guy, trying to coordinate everything – we’ll see how it all plays out. I had several telephonic calls to return, and then I had to get audio samples to the web guy. I did start watching a motion picture on Blu and Ray and got about twenty-five minutes in, but I just could never get back to it. I also picked up mail from the last couple of days – a couple of packages and the important envelope. By that time, the evening was basically gone.

I want to reiterate again how wonderful a time I had in the Land of Port. JMK and Betsy were so hospitable, and seeing Jane, George, and MBarnum was a treat, and I’m only sorry that TCB and Ann couldn’t be there – they were missed. The venue itself was really lovely, too.

I really have nothing more to say in this section although it seems way to brief for a section. A section should have some heft, don’t you think? A section should have some weight, some gravitas, don’t you think? And yet this section seems like Lite Notes or Diet Notes. I hate when that happens but I’ll keep typing until we at least reach another page, even though on the actual site these don’t show up as pages – they do show up as pages here on the computer, though. You know, it’s amazing that when you have nothing to say no matter how much you type you still never reach another page. Well, as I like to say on our fabulousssss message board – get me off this damn page. So it is written, so it shall be done.

Well, why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below because I can barely keep my eyes open and I have to be up very, VERY early to announce our new Kritzerland release.

Today, I shall be up very, VERY early to announce the new Kritzerland release, a very, VERY special release, which I’m hoping will sell out very, VERY quickly. I mean, if this title isn’t a quick sellout, then the limited edition market is truly in trouble. So, we shall see, but my hopes are high and high are my hopes, not necessarily in that order. I will then hopefully print out a LOT of orders. Then I will do some banking, then CDs will arrive and the helper will arrive and shipping will occur. Once shipping is done, then I have to go to the tape transfer place and see what’s what. Once I determine what’s what, then I’ll know what to do about what’s what. Isn’t “what” a funny old word – it’s very old hat, isn’t it? Of course, it IS “hat” with a w stuck in front of it for no apparent reason. Where was I? Oh, yes, today and what’s what. I will then come home, pick up the music copies, organize them by singer (and I have to send a stack to our musical director via overnight postal service), burn CDs, and then the singers will be coming to pick them up.

Tomorrow I don’t know what the HELL is going on, but I’m sure that something is going on and I’ll know what’s what soon, I hope because one must always be in the know, what’s what-wise. The rest of the week is busy with meetings and work sessions and finishing up the master for our new release and getting the packaging off to the printer.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, announce a CD, do banking, ship CDs, hopefully print out LOTS of orders, jog, pick up music, burn CDs, and give both to singers. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your all-time favorite holiday movies? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland and dream of what’s what.
