PRESENTING THE NEW HAINESHISWAY.COM WEBSITE

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, here we are on our brand spanking new haineshisway.com website and we are now up to date and with it and happening and I feel that soon we will be the most popular site on all the Internet.  I’m so happy I could eat a gazelle.  Oh, the fun we will have on our new site.  I can do things in these here notes that were heretofore impossible.  But before we even go there, can I just point out that it’s the last day of May?  Can you believe it?  This month flew by, like a gazelle reciting the story of The Randy Vicar and the Leaky Faucet.  That one’s a corker.  Tomorrow will be a new month, a little month we like to call June.  So, may I just say here and now and also now and her that it is my fervent hope and prayer that June will be a month filled with health, wealth, happiness, creativity, and all things bright and beautiful.

Yesterday was a crazy kind of day.  I was stressed out for most of it, mostly waiting for the new site to finish migrating.  The tech guy was great about keeping me updated as the day went by.  I was up at eight, then I did a three-mile jog at eight-thirty, then I got cleaned up and then it was time for our second Kritzerland rehearsal.  It was basically a very good rehearsal – this cast is just terrific.  We have a few things to work through, but I think it’s going to be a really entertaining show.  And I especially enjoy it because these songs are not all that well known to me, so I’m finding them totally enjoyable each and every time I hear them.

After the rehearsal, I went to Jerry’s Deli where I had some chicken tenders.  I’ve been on a bit of a Jerry’s chicken tenders kick.  I like to order the chicken tenders and then kick them.  I find this not only gives me great satisfaction, but the other patrons look at me as if I have mental issues.  And, of course, I do.  After that, I picked up some packages and then came home.  I checked on the workers and I have to say they are doing a wonderful job.  The front windows look brand new now.  Then I got the call I was waiting for: the tech, telling me we were live.  I immediately went to this here site from my favorites, and voila there it was – our lovelier than lovely new site.  I then went to my favorites and directly to the discussion board, and voila there it was – our lovelier than lovely discussion board, looking all shiny and new.  I immediately made the new topic so posting could begin, which it did almost instantly.  I then noticed that all the new boards I’d made during our test phase were gone, and Juliana’s Journal was back.  In deleting all of our test things, they simply went backwards and inadvertently deleted all my boards.  So, while I had the tech on the phone I went back in and made the new boards again – it’s so easy.  I recommend checking them out and posting in them – one for the books, one for Outside the Box, and whatever else I did.  There were just a couple of anomalies and they got fixed very quickly.  I love the new site and I love the new board and best of all everything is lightening fast thanks to our new updated software and especially our new servers.

I literally danced a jig.  So, now, what exactly can we do in these here notes that we couldn’t do before?  Well, I’ll tell you because why should I keep such things from dear readers such as yourselves?  Let’s start with the simple:  So, let’s say I’m really irritated and I write in these here notes that I’m seeing red.  Well, now I can write and literally see red.  If I’m feeling blue, I can literally feel blue.  Isn’t that fun?  I can be bold, I can be italicized, I can be whatever I damn well want to be.  But that is only the tip of the iceberg.

Tip-of-the-iceberg

You see, we can have visual aids, such as the one above, which is the tip of the iceberg.  But that’s not all.  Let’s say I want all of you lovelier than lovely dear readers out there in the dark to hear my song Good Girl/Bad Girl from The Brain from Planet X – in French.  Well, watch this!

04 Track 04

You see, we can have aural aids, such as the one above, which just happens to be my song Good Girl/Bad Girl, in French no less.  Are we not loving this?  I know I am.  And let’s say I want to show you a video, say the first episode of season two of Outside the Box.  You’re saying, “No way could that happen in these here notes.”  And I’m saying, “Way, baby, way.”

You see, we can have videos, too.  Frankly, I think this is all too too, don’t you you?  That is how I spent most of my evening – playing on our discussion board and on the main site.  However, I did sit on my couch like so much fish and watch the first thirty minutes of Champion on Blu and Ray, starring Mr. Kirk Douglas.  It’s really a terrific little film and I’ll talk more about it when I’ve finished with it.

Now, right about this time I’d be saying why don’t we all click on the Unseemly Button below but you’ll notice there is no Unseemly Button below and therefore you cannot click on it.  Now our handy-dandy notes are all in one easy-to-read section.  And when you’ve finished all you need to is click on the link directly below them and that will take you to our marvelously marvelous Unseemly Discussion Board.

I encourage you to check out the radio show page to your left.  Donald hasn’t posted an entire show yet, it’s just a partial show, about fifteen minutes long, which he did as a test.  I’m sure he’ll get off his butt cheeks shortly and post a full show – but even with the excerpt you will be astonished how easy it is and how great it sounds.  The interviews section is still being built – there was a problem with the archived interviews and they’re being retrieved now – once that’s all in place, we’ll start doing some more Unseemly Interviews with interesting people.  The button that says Now Playing will also be fun – I’ve already put one video in there, and will eventually put others, plus audio clips.  I may start doing “previews” of upcoming releases, to see if anyone can guess what they are.  Won’t that be fun?

Today, I shall be up at eight, I shall do a jog, and then I am taking the rest of the day off and no one will say boo about it, except, perhaps, the man on Ventura Blvd. who always says boo about everything.  Did you ever realize that boo spelled backwards is oob?  Just asking.  I’ll eat something light but amusing and hopefully I’ll pick up some packages.  I also may or may not have a dinner to go to.

Tomorrow is, of course, our stumble-through, after which some of us will go dine.  Sunday is our sound check and show, and then next week I have to get everything in motion for the July show.  It’s actually all cast save for one guy, one gal, and our guest star.  And the songs are pretty much chosen, too.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, do a jog, eat, hopefully pick up packages, take the rest of the day off, and maybe have a dinner.  Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in your CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray player?  I’ll start – CD, many Kritzerland projects in various stages of development.  Blu and Ray, Champion.  Your turn.  Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy that we have migrated successfully.
