AFFORDABLE DENTURES

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, it’s always nice to have some legal advice when you need it, and I’ve had some and it’s been very helpful. Of course, it involves the crap from a few weeks ago and I just wanted someone to chat with and then look at the letter I’d drafted.  That I finally had and it was very interesting and then my letter was finessed and is much more focused now without any detours that are off-topic, no matter how much I wanted to make those detours.  They are simply not germane and germane is the name of the game.  I will also say that if I ever need affordable dentures I know where to go because every day I get about twenty e-mails about affordable dentures.  In fact, these affordable dentures e-mails are now more prolific than the e-mails I get with photographs of women who are very keen to meet me and who, I presume, are also affordable.  Of course, I don’t know these women but boy do they want to meet me.  They say so right in the e-mail, rather brazenly.  Some of them don’t seem to have any clothes on, too, which I feel is just a wee bit forward.  Some of them wear thongs, which, of course, makes me want to vomit on the ground.  I’m sure that if I ever went out with any of them I’d NEED affordable dentures.  You know, if anyone has a clew as to what the HELL I’m talking about, do let me know, because I certainly haven’t a clew as to what the HELL I’m talking about.

Well, that was a rather endless paragraph about legal advice, women who send me e-mails, and affordable dentures.  And I feel that’s a fine way to begin these here notes.  Yesterday was a day in which a few things happened, none of which were mind-boggling.  I got up at around ten-thirty when the helper arrived.  I hadn’t gotten to sleep until after two, but I do think I got my eight hours of beauty sleep.  The helper took the Two Roads music and got that all shipped out, both signed and unsigned copies.  There are only about thirty signed copies left, so if you haven’t ordered yours and you want one, now would be a good time to do it.  After that, I went and had a cup of chicken corn chowder and a chili, cheese and onion omelet, with an English muffin.  I think I’m about done with that particular omelet.  It hasn’t been quite as good the last few times, so if I need a chili, cheese and onion fix it will be a hot dog or cup of chili.  Then I picked up one little package, after which I came home.

Then I had a short meeting about a couple of potential Kritzerland projects.  I did choose a few songs for the Kritzerland show, and we’re still trying to cast the second male – the one we had hadn’t read his schedule properly.  And frankly, if we don’t find someone I really want, Jason Graae, our guest star, is doing two songs, so I could just bring in one more gal to do one or two songs and it would be fine.  After all that, I finally sat on my couch like so much fish.

Last night, I watched another documentary about people who blow whistles – it was very good, very concise and focused on specific people.  I really wonder if 90% of the country is simply sleeping through this hideous attempt to remove many rights guaranteed by the constitution.  According to this documentary, this administration has done more to abuse the rights of a free press and the right for people to expose wrongdoing, than all the other administrations put together.  And do remember, the inaugural promise was a transparent presidency, one without secrets.  Well, tell you a secret: That didn’t happen.  Oops.  After that, I watched the first half of a motion picture on Blu and Ray entitled Sorcerer, a film by William Friedkin – a remake of the great Henri-Georges Clouzot film, The Wages of Fear.  I saw it when it came out and didn’t really care for it – I was a big fan of the French film and the new version seemed bloated and lifeless to me.  But time has been kind to Sorcerer and it’s so much better than most of what we get today, that I’m really enjoying it a lot.  The fact that the transfer is superb is very helpful.  The worst I can say about the film right now is that the title is, as it always was, terrible.  I’m even kind of liking the weird score by Tangerine Dream.  I’ll finish it this evening.

After that, I went to Gelson’s and got a couple of small snacks, then came home and ate them all up whilst doing some stuff on the computer.

Today, I will hopefully finish choosing songs, but I have to listen to a bunch of stuff before making the final choices.  So, I’ll be pulling a lot of CDs off the shelves, including all the off-Broadway shows I recorded, of which there are quite a few.  I will, of course, eat something light but amusing, do errands and whatnot, hopefully pick up some mail, prep our new release announcement, and relax.

Tomorrow, I’m seeing a new musical by Doug Haverty called The Ghost of Gershwin.  He’ll be there and we’ll go have a bite to eat after the show.  Saturday is relaxing and then dinner at Ruth’s Chris, and I’m not sure what’s happening on Sunday.

I did have someone post a video on You Tube of last Friday’s performance of Two Roads from the Richard Sherman event, so check it out if you’re of a mind to.

And also check out Sami Staitman singing my arrangement of the Sherman Brothers Nonsense Words medley.

And also check out Jenna Lea Rosen doing Suddenly It Happens from The Slipper and the Rose.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, finish choosing songs, I must eat, I must hopefully pick up some packages, I must prep our new release announcement and I must relax.  Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorite films of Sorcerer star Roy Scheider?  Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, after which I shall wake up to thirty more e-mails about my favorite topic – affordable dentures.
