FRIED, FRAZZLED, AND FERKLEMPT

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I’m happy to say that I buckled down, Winsocki and got the entire commentary written for the Kritzerland show. That was the big thing I did yesterday. I also came to the horrifying realization that I was so fried, frazzled, and ferklempt because of all this computer stuff and bank fraud stuff that I forgot to attend the wedding of David Wechter’s mother. It was four blocks from here, too, but my brain just wasn’t functioning well and even though I’d RSVP’d, chosen my food, I just had a senior and quite senile moment and I feel very bad about it. I should have written myself a big ol’ note but you all know what the last five days were like.

I did get eleven hours of very necessary sleep. Just as I awoke I had a call from little Hadley Miller’s parents – they were in the neighborhood and asked if I could join them for food. I did, about forty minutes later over at Casa Vega. I’d already decided it was a tuna sandwich kind of day, but when you’re at Casa Vega you have to eat something, so I had two beef tacos, a la carte. Those were probably about 250 calories each. It was a fun lunch and a pleasant break. Once home, I began writing the commentary. At around four, I had two tiny tuna sandwiches on 150 calorie buns. Then a while later I did a two-and-a-half mile job. So more calories than usual, about 1300, but after the job that came down to around 1050, so all good. Then I wrote more of the commentary and then got asked to go for dessert. So, I decided to do that. We met at Four and Twenty Pies nearby and I had a piece of custard pie, which, of course, is the lowest calorie pie, around 240 calories. So, even though I’ve been doing around a 1000 calories a day, yesterday was more but still under 1500 and one can still lose weight at 1500 and at this point in the diet game, one can also have one splurge meal a week, not that this was anything near a splurge meal.

Then I came back and finished writing the commentary. I’m sure I’ll be futzing and finessing it in a few days, but at least it’s done. Otherwise, I just kind of zoned out, listened to some music, and caught up with stuff on the computer.

Today, I think Mr. Nick Redman is stopping by for a visit. It will be another tuna sandwiches day but without all the other stuff – no tacos, no dessert, so that will be fine and dandy and also dandy and fine. I’m waiting to hear when our post mortem is and when the post mortem is with the charity – all that happens this week. I’m also waiting to hear about our work session for the Kritzerland show. I did the Facebook event page yesterday in the afternoon and I know people have already been reserving, so that’s good. I’ve held back twenty-five seats, too, just because I have a lot of people who want to come to this one.

And so, the rest of the week is meetings and meals and going and doing and doing and going and hopefully getting all the bank crap settled and money back in the account. What a crazy week it’s been, so send excellent vibes and xylophones for any and all miracles and an easier and more pleasant week.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, perhaps visit with Nick Redman (and commiserate, since he also had bank fraud recently), I’ll eat, jog, wait to hear when stuff is happening, hopefully pick up packages, and whatever else comes along. Today’s topic of discussion: What has your worst senior moment been – something you forgot, or whatever it may have been. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, mortified that I missed the wedding due to my brain being fried, frazzled, and ferklempt.
