THE GOAL POST

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we began our big puuuuush to the finish line and even though I wasn’t really expecting it this quickly, we not only reached our goal but surpassed it – currently we’re at 103%. It was an amazing day to watch the climb and I just want to thank everyone who has helped get us there a week before we’re done. We still have a ways to go to cover the Indiegogo and Paypal fees and then we’re in our strrrrrretch goal to fund a cast album. I could not have been more pleased – we actually hit 100% in the early afternoon. And there are still lots of wonderful perks at all levels, so let’s go to the stars and above.

Yesterday was quite a pleasant day any way you look at it. I got seven hours of sleep, got up, did my usual morning stuff, saw that we were climbing at a rapid pace on Indiegogo, and had a back-and-forth with the replacement actress. She’s happily cast and I even have a back up should anything untoward happen. So, that was a load off and I actually got one of our Kritzerland singers their music, so that’s one down. Two others will get theirs today, and I have to then choose the fourth gal’s final two songs, and we’re STILL waiting on our final guy, although I pretty much know what he’ll be doing. So, getting there. Then I went and had a side Caesar salad and a chili, cheese, and onion hot dog and no fries. That was light and good. Then I picked up two little packages and came back home.

Once home, I did some work on the computer, ate some low-calorie ice cream, had many e-mail volleys about many things (all fine), and watched our campaign hit its goal. I had several telephonic conversations about this and that as well as that and this, and I listened to a LOT of music for three upcoming Kritzerland projects – one classical, one movie-related, and one show reissue that will have an amazing amount of bonus material. Then I went to Gelson’s and got the makings for some burgers for today’s meal o’ the day.

I never had a chance to sit on my couch like so much fish and watch anything, and then suddenly it was time to write these here notes and take a hot shower.

Today, I will finish with all the Kritzerland stuff, I’ll eat burgers (2), I’ll hopefully pick up some packages and mail, I’ll keep on the Indiegogo trail as we head into our strrrrrrretch goal, I’ll begin writing the first of three sets of liner notes, make a show order so I can start writing commentary, do Levi prep and then at some point relax.

Tomorrow I have an important lunch meeting in the Bank of Bur, and then it’s our first music rehearsal for Levi. I’m so looking forward to starting and hearing our cast learn music. We won’t actually have our Levi until Monday as he’s doing a show and his contract actually doesn’t start until Monday. Thursday and Friday are rehearsals, I may see a show on Friday night, and then the weekend is for writing liner notes and commentary. Then on Monday we begin staging.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, finish Kritzerland stuff, eat, hopefully pick up packages, work the Indiegogo campaign, write liner notes, do Levi prep, make a show order, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What is your favorite instrument to listen to, the one you’re most intrigued by, moved by, or the one that’s just always ear candy to you. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, so happy we not only reached the goal post but exceeded it and hopefully we can just keep going all the way up to the stars and beyond.
