A FIT OF PIQUE

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, this week is flying by, like a gazelle accusing me of grabbing its butt in a fit of pique. I don’t know about you, dear readers, but I am guilty as charged because I did indeed grab the butt of the gazelle in a fit of pique. That is because I was so happy that my pique fit correctly that I had to grab the butt of a gazelle to express my utter joy. And the gazelle then grabbed my butt, too, and I am coming forth to tell the tale right here on haineshisway.com. Yes, just because my pique fit I grabbed the damn gazelle’s but (nicely, of course), the damn gazelle then thought it had the right to grab my butt when its pique did not fit. I ask you. I ask you, is that right? I’m sure the gazelle that it was a case of tit for tat or, at the very least, tat for tit, or butt for butt, BUT there was just butt grabbing all over the damn place. I have apologized to the gazelle and the gazelle has apologized to me, and we are here to tell the tale and the tail, if you get my meaning. What the HELL am I talking about? I suppose all this talk of butt grabbing has me in high dudgeon and low dudgeon as well.

Yesterday I did get nine hours of sleep but it was sporadic as I had an upset tummy throughout the night. I got up at eleven, had a texting volley with the gal who’s been helping me unpack, and she came over around twelve-thirty and we hit them boxes in the garage. The way they were put IN the garage was not the best in terms of organization, but we did find the Indiegogo box and so that stuff can all go out in the next week or so. We got a lot of the big boy books into the book room and put away, too, and one box of the credenza CDs are now in there.

We went to Islands for a burger, came back and wrapped up the unboxing, she left, just as Grant arrived. Grant hung about seven more things, so all that’s left now is the entertainment room – he’s keeping things spare and not crowded, so some things may not get hung if they don’t work for the house. He left, I did some work on the computer, we’re now fully cast for Kritzerland and so I’ve chosen two-thirds of the songs and assigned them, so about four or five to go and we’ll finally be done. I’ll get the Facebook event page done today. Then I sat on my couch like so much fish.

Last night, I watched the second episode of season two of Stranger Things and it was pretty blah, which is, of course, halb spelled backwards. Then I did more stuff on the computer, took a hot shower (and the hot water here lasts a LONG time, very different from the old house), and had a donut from K’s for my evening snack. Okay, two donuts if you must know.

Today, I will do some banking, go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond for a new laundry hamper and a couple of other small items, I’ll hopefully pick up some packages, if my kitchen chairs arrive Grant will come assemble, and then I’m having a visit with Sami and her mom who are coming to see the new house – have no idea whether we’ll sup or not – if not, I shall sup directly after they leave, either here or out. And then I’ll relax.

The rest of the week is unboxing more stuff, trying to get the garage organized, relaxing, having a work session on Friday for the Kritzerland show, seeing Doug Haverty in a show at Group Rep on Saturday, and preparing our new release.

Let’s all put on our pointy party hats and our colored tights and pantaloons, let’s all break out the cheese slices and ham chunks, let’s all dance the Hora or the Continental for today is the birthday of our very own KevinH.  So, let’s give a big haineshisway.com birthday cheer to our very own KevinH.  On the count of three: One, two, three- A BIG HAINESHISWAY.COM BIRTHDAY CHEER TO OUR VERY OWN KEVINH!!!

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, do some banking, do some shopping, hopefully pick up packages, have a visit, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What films and TV shows have you seen recently that you’ve liked and would recommend? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, so very happy that my pique still fits.
