LEVI THE CD ARRIVES

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, for a day that began with a miraculous miracle it ended up so annoyingly – welcome to my world. So now we need two more miraculous miracles and I’ll get through this crazy time, so do please send your strongest most excellent vibes and xylophones for two more miraculous miracles.

I was up at nine, answered some e-mails, and then I futzed and finessed the previous day’s writing – smoothing out, adding, subtracting – the usual stuff. I didn’t have time to write more than a couple of new lines because I had to meet dear reader Jeanne for an early luncheon at our favorite west side jernt. She had her usual fish and chips but I decided to be adventurous – they had a special chicken salad sandwich so I had that with some cole slaw. Unfortunately, it was not classic chicken salad – it had something like chutney in it and raisins. I ate it but it just wasn’t my cuppa. So, Jeanne and I have been wanting to try the pancakes so I ordered us a short stack. She liked them and I thought they were okay but not up to Du-Par’s. But we had a lovelier than lovely time. We had two fellows next to us who were in the show business and loudly talking of all the stuff they were doing.

After that I went back to the Valley, did some banking, and then came home. I started writing and did about four pages, then the annoying stuff started happening, which was – annoying. But I mushed on and wrote three more pages, then took a little break. I had more problems with AT&T and wasted an hour on the phone with them, but everything is finally worked out and I ended up saving some decent money.

Then I went back to writing, but I was still so annoyed because more annoyances happened, that it was slow going and a struggle, but I think I came up with some good stuff and I’m sure I’ll futz and finesse it this morning. I’d done eleven pages at that point. Then I got my boxes of the Levi and Villa-Lobos CDs, which look great. Then I took a hot shower and washed the annoyances down the drain and then wrote another three pages. So, I may try to do one or two more after I post these here notes, but I have to get up early to do a few things in the morning.

Today, I’ll be up by nine, I’ll futz and finesse for an hour, then I’ll go do the things I have to do, then come home and try to write two or three pages. Then I’m going to visit Richard Sherman and we’ll get the remaining Indiegogo perks done and out. I haven’t seen him in too long, so we’ll have fun. Then I’ll come home and write more and then I have a six o’clock dinner that I’m looking forward to. After that it will be more writing.

Tomorrow, I’ll do some writing in the morning and then I’ll print out the current batch of pages, which will be between ninety and one hundred. Then I’ll continue writing. Next week is all writing and my final push to the finish line, which I think will happen mid-week but could take until Friday. We shall see. I do have some meetings and meals and I really do need those two other miraculous miracles sooner than later.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, futz and finesse, write, do a few things, write, visit Richard Sherman, write, have a dinner, and write. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorite sandwiches – to make at home, and to get at restaurants? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, hoping that the annoyances take a damn hike for good, baby, for good, but happy that Levi the CD has arrived at long last.
