PART ONE IS DONE

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I finished part one of the new book lat night, just before writing these here notes. I also wrote the first few things of part two, but I’m not sure about that yet – not sure if it feels right or not – I’ll sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning. Because the second half of the book starts with a brand new character, it’s almost like starting over, but I’ll get with it and I pretty much know where everything is going.

Yesterday, I only got five hours of sleep before she of the Evil Eye arrived. I hung around for a while, doing almost all of the futzing and finessing, save for about two pages. Then I went and had some bacon and eggs, then came home, since there were no packages and/or mail. Once home, I finished futzing and finessing and wrote two new pages. Then the garage helper came by and did three hours of organizing and clearing another pathway, which is great. While that was being done, I was in the house, writing away. By the end of the afternoon I’d written about six pages. I kept going back and revising things that weren’t quite right, but I got them the way I wanted. Then the garage helper and I went for some food, a local Chinese restaurant that had good Yelp notices, very close by. Genghis Cohen it wasn’t but it was very good. We had orange chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and vegetable lo mein. We didn’t finish any of it, so it was boxed up and the helper took it home.

Then I just really wanted to finish part one so I spent the rest of the evening writing, revising, writing – almost fifteen pages in total by the time I reached the end of part one. It was somewhat emotional, too, for various reasons. Then I went back and added two things to the earlier section of the book After that, I relaxed and then it was time to write these here notes. Because it’s the weekend and the irritants can’t be dealt with, that worked in my favor, stress-wise. I am so very tired of all of it, just weary, but keep sending those most excellent vibes and xylophones for miraculous miracles, because next week is going to be very messy right from the start if we don’t get some.

Today, I’ll hopefully arise after a good night’s beauty sleep. Then I’ll futz and finesse, then print out all 150 pages and get them Xeroxed and over to Muse Margaret. I’m hoping since it’s a holiday weekend that she’ll have time to read them. I’ll eat, I’ll write new pages and get in the swing of part two – one thing I have to do is decide if I’m happy with what I’ve named the new character. I’m waffling about it – sometimes I like it, and sometimes I don’t. We’ll see what Muse Margaret thinks. At some point I’ll relax.

Tomorrow is a holiday so hopefully no one will bug me. I’ll write as many pages as I can, otherwise I’ll just relax. Then the rest of the week is dealing with merde unless we get them miraculous miracles. If I survive this week it will be a miraculous miracle in and of itself. I think I have some meetings and meals, too.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, futz and finesse, print out pages, Xerox, get pages to Muse Margaret, write, eat, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s free-for-all day, the day in which you dear readers get to make with the topics and we all get to post about them. So, let’s have loads of lovely topics and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to have finished part one of the new book and to have completed 150 pages in one day less than two weeks.
