WACKY PARAGRAPHS

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I have some notes to write, right?  Or should that be I have some notes to right, write?  Or should that be I have to right the notes I write?  Well, write or right, come HELL or high or even low water, I will write the damn notes.  Whether the notes I write will be right, this I do not know.  And if notes can be written, can they be written with a mitten? Would I be smitten?  Would I type like a kitten, lightly on the keys with my mitten?  You know what?  This is a paragraph I’m quittin’.

I have no idea in HELL what I was doing in the paragraph above. I just typed mindlessly and that was the result.  This paragraph, however, will be filled with wit and pith and moment, it will be both sophisticated and down to earth, not necessarily in that order.  It will shine like the top of the Chrysler building.  It will be a paragraph to remember.  There will be no paraphrasing in this paragraph.  Do you know that if you type the word paragraph repeatedly it begins coming out like pargahrn and pararaphg and paradigm? Did you know that if you have paradigms that means you have twenty cents?  My goodness, even this pararagrap has gone off the rails, it has devolved into incoherence.  It has, in short, simply become a nuisance.

Ah, but THIS paragarhp, this one will be the one. Yesterday, for example, I got only about six hours of sleep.  I wasn’t sure the lunch meeting was on, but when I checked my e-mails I saw that it was. I then tried to ascertain that dinner was on but I got no response to that query.  So, I moseyed on over to Jerry’s Deli and before I ordered I tried once again to ascertain if dinner was on.  I got no response, so I ordered a chili, cheese, and onion omelet and an English muffin.  Five minutes later I heard that dinner was on.  But the omelet was very good, as was the English muffin and the lunch itself, with Kerry O’Malley, was lots of fun.

Then I picked up some packages and no mail (irritating), came home, did some work on the computer, had a telephonic conversation, had a singer ask nicely if we could find another song – I understood completely why she was struggling with what I’d given her, so I came up with a put-together that will serve the same purpose, as our closing number. I got an emergency e-mail needing my help, and of course I said yes immediately and I’ll be helping with said emergency on Sunday.  I listened to some music, and then Grant, his ever-lovin’ Lydia, and I moseyed on over to Barone’s for a double birthday dinner.

We all love Barone’s.  While I wish I hadn’t eaten earlier, there was nothing to be done about it and I don’t think I had any more than 500 calories.  So, I had the shrimp scampi, which is under 500 calories, a little dinner salad with only a bit of dressing on it, so I think that whole thing didn’t come to more than 500 calories.  I had no bread either.  But then we all decided to have ze chocolate mousse for dessert, so I probably topped out at 1500 calories, which is still okay.  I was very full.  Grant had the veal dish he loves, and Lydia had a small vegetable pizza, which she loved. Then we came back here.

I listened to some more music, including the Stokowski performance of Carmina Burana, which some people hate and some love.  I’m more in the latter category as the whole thing under his expert baton is just so fresh and appealing.  I’m sure other recordings have better bands and soloists, but I do like this one very much.  I had one last telephonic conversation, and that was that.

Today, I’ll be up by eleven, I’ll go take the clothes to the cleaners, I’ll eat, hopefully pick up some packages, pick up something else that needs picking up, and then I will begin the two sets of liner notes I must attend to.  After that, I’ll relax and watch something.

Tomorrow, at noon o’clock I’ll be helping out with an emergency situation, and then I’ll sup in that area of town.  Monday we have our first Kritzerland rehearsal, which I’m looking forward to, then the rest of the week is meetings and meals, hopefully getting the mail that keeps not coming, our second rehearsal, and then our stumble-through, then sound check and show.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, take clothes to the cleaners, eat, hopefully pick up some packages, pick up something else, write liner notes, then relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorite words – words that tickle your ear, words you that tickle your fancy, words you like to use in sentences whenever you can?  Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy I survived two count them two wacky paragraphs.
