THE 1OO,000 POSTINGS OF BK

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, guess what happened tonight, prior to my posting these here notes?  Well, I’ll tell you what happened just prior to my posting these here notes, because why should I withhold such things from dear readers such as yourselves.  100,000. Yes, you heard that right, dear readers, I, BK, achieved a new miraculously miraculous, amazingly amazing milestone, namely 100,000 postings.  I can’t even fathom it, frankly, but then I could not fathom when we achieved over 1,000,000 postings and are far above that number now.  I feel that soon we will be the most popular site on all the Internet.  So, let’s raise a toast or eat some toast or do something with toast to the 100,000 postings of BK, which is also the title of my new novel.  Here is the penultimate all 9’s post.

Here is the milestone.

Yesterday was a day that wasn’t bad and wasn’t especially good, but I did figure out something I needed to figure out, which had to do with the good news of Monday.  If I can do what I’m hoping to do it will solve many problems, but it may have to wait until Friday, although I will attempt it today to see what’s what.  How enigmatic a paragraph is THIS?  I did get about nine hours sleep and did not arise until noon.  I did the usual morning stuff, and then I went to the mail place and picked up one package.  Then I decided to go to Corky’s Coffee Shop, where I had my beloved grilled Trousdale sandwich and a side salad.  After that, I came home.  Once home, I worked on the new tune to the old lyrics and finished it.  Now I’m finessing the lyrics a bit – perhaps I’ll print them tomorrow for your mental delectation.

I listened to music, had some telephonic conversations, listened to some cassettes and transferred two into iTunes, and found a place that can transfer a few reel-to-reel tapes for me.  I know I did other things but I really cannot remember what those things were. I didn’t end up doing any work in the garage.  I did sit on my couch like so much fish and closed my eyes for a few minutes.

Later in the evening, I had to make a trip to Ralph’s for some essentials like Diet Coke and water, but I also got some tortillas and Taco Bell cheese, and a little pinwheel sandwich for my evening snack. I also bought some Swedish Fish for the What is it, fish bowl.  Then I listened to music, revised another lyric for a song from my musical about food, Feast.  A singer had written me about needing a food song, so I told him I had a funny one but that I wanted to change its title and revise a few lyrics.  All the while, I was posting and posting and posting, and just prior to posting these here notes, we hit the big number – 100,000 postings.

Today, I think we may be doing the last bit of the garage purge, and then I’ll go attempt to do what I’m hoping I can do – in fact, I may make a call about it first to find out if it’s possible or if I have to wait until Friday.  I’ll eat, I’ll hopefully pick up some packages, I’ll continue choosing songs for the wonderful cast we’ve assembled.  The rest of the week is meetings and meals and going and doing, maybe attending a birthday party if I can rearrange things, and then I’m seeing a show over the weekend.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, maybe do the last of the garage purge, try to do what I need to do, eat, hopefully pick up packages, choose songs, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like.  So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, as we raise a toast or eat some toast or do something with toast for the 100,000 postings of BK.
