POPPING PEPCIDS

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I am sitting here like so much nauseous fish, listening to the music of Respighi in monophonic sound.  I don’t have a clew as to where this nausea is coming from but it’s here and it’s now and I would like it to go away pronto.  I’ve taken two Pepcids already, and will keep taking them until they work.  Damn them, damn them all to hell.  Well, I must write these here notes in a hurry because I must put up more perks for our little Indiegogo campaign, which I’m really hoping to make live today by noon. That will all depend on when I get the video, which I know Marshall Harvey is hard at work on.

Yesterday, I got eight hours of sleep, answered e-mails, did some work on the computer, then I took an Uber to Hugo’s, as I didn’t care to walk two miles in the heat so that I’d be gross and sweaty by the time I arrived. Thankfully, my lunch partner had lucked out and got a great table.  It was a good and fun meeting – rather than my usual pasta papa, I had a barbecue chicken sandwich and a teeny-tiny bit of Caesar salad as a side.

After the meeting, I walked the mile to the mail place, picked up a couple of packages, then took an Uber home.  I did more work on the computer, then let the cast of the September Kritzerland show know there’d been some miscommunication and they’d put us on the second Sunday rather than the first, which is Labor Day Weekend.  So, thankfully everyone in the cast could do the second Sunday and that’s actually better for me – more time to get everything chosen and done.

I mostly listened to music, had a couple of telephonic conversations, and began getting a new Kritzerland title ready for release – we’ll probably announce that one tomorrow.  At some point, I sat on my couch like so much fish and dozed off for about forty-five minutes.

Then I did some work at the piano, answered more e-mails, and was nauseous.

Today, I hope to make the Indiegogo campaign live – that is the goal and as we all know, it is good to meet the goal one sets.  Otherwise, I’ll probably have to walk somewhere for food, unless Grant wants to grab a bite to eat, and I’m getting a haircut next door at two.  I’m supposed to have a visitor in the afternoon, albeit briefly.  Then I’ll relax at some point and perhaps watch a little something.

Tomorrow, we’ll hopefully announce a new CD release, and then it’s meetings and meals and walking, until Friday, when I hope that the motor car will be ready and working well.  I’ll hopefully see a show over the weekend, too.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, hopefully make the Indiegogo campaign live, I’ll get a haircut, I’ll walk somewhere for food, I’ll have a visit, and then I’ll relax. Today’s topic of discussion:  What are your favorite films of Mr. Glenn Ford, a rather underappreciated actor, in my opinion.  Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, hoping I don’t have to pop too many Pepcids.
