149% REVENGE AND THE EASTER BUNNY

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we did project two aka Revenge and I thought it went very well. We had about ninety people on YouTube and more on the Group Rep page, where they could watch it directly from that page. A few stragglers came late, and I don’t know if they figured out what was going on, but that’s not my concern. I think we made the right decision to turn off the live chat so people would concentrate. I’m very proud of what we did – those who were at the Q&A know how daunting this kind of thing is, but I thought it played well and everyone seemed to enjoy it. And the thing of it is, even if you figure out one thing there are an equal number of things you don’t figure out, and that’s always what you want. I think all the actors did a fine job of it, too. We all had a very good time birthing it and frankly to do two projects like we did, back-to-back, is, I think, no mean feat. We’ll probably do it again next Saturday for those who missed it, and we all know that some folks missed it. I actually only know the dear readers who were at the Q&A – beyond that, I have no idea who among us watched. The Q&A was fun – not a lot of questions, but wonderful comments, and I explained a lot of the process, which I enjoy doing. Anyway, I’m thrilled that people enjoyed it and now it looks like everyone will have a second chance to either see it for the first time or catch it a second. There won’t be any other performances after that.

We only had a single contribution to the Indiegogo campaign – breaking news – someone came in at the last minute and brought us to 149%!!! So, hopefully, now that we’re coming around the bend, we’ll take this puppy home and raise a ruckus and raise the roof and raise more dough so I can put more extras on the Blu-ray, and I’ve got lots sitting here, ready to go. Here’s then handy-dandy dandy-handy link. I may have one or two more perks to put up on Monday morning.

Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day for the most part. I got a little over eight hours of sleep, I answered e-mails, I did some cheerleading, I posted about project two aka Revenge, I picked up a couple of packages, I had California Chicken Café again to tide me over – the usual chicken breast and wing and chicken pasta salad, and then I relaxed until it was show time. After that we did our Q&A, which lasted about forty-minutes, I think, and was very well attended, and then for my celebratory food I had three slices of pepperoni pizza from our local pizzeria that I like. They arrived and were still nice and hot and I ate all three slices, and they were quite yummilicious.

After that, I listened to an opera by Gabriel Faure, one of my favorite composers – the opera was entitled Penelope and I enjoyed it very much. The recording is well done and Jessye Norman stars and Charles Dutoit conducts. Then I relaxed and had a telephonic conversation. And then it was time to write these here notes.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, and then I shall have a ME day, a day all about ME, a ME day from start to finish and nothing will deter ME or detract ME from having my ME day. I’ll watch stuff, I’ll listen to music, I’ll relax, I’ll eat something fun but light or, conversely, something light but fun, and I shall do no work whatsoever. And, of course, today is Easter and perhaps for dessert I’ll buy and eat some Peeps, because those yellow things really say Easter to me, even more than gaily-colored Easter eggs.

Tomorrow, I decide whether we’re doing a May Kritzerland show, we decide about doing project two aka Revenge again, and I’m sure that will happen and equally sure that it will happen on Saturday, but perhaps one hour later, due to the brevity of it and that six is easier for L.A. people. I have liner notes to write, but the main object for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning, is to get us around the bend and over the finish line with as much money as we can raise so we can make the best Blu-ray EVER. Then we have to finish the CD mixes and get that mastered and the booklet designed and the same goes for the sheet music book. So, a busy, busy week.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, have a ME day, perhaps have some Peeps Easter candies so I feel like it’s Easter. I’ll listen to music, I’ll watch, I’ll relax, I’ll eat, and I’ll do no work whatsoever. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s free-for-all day, the day in which you dear readers get to make with the topics and we all get to post about them. So, let’s have loads of lovely topics and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy that people seem to have enjoyed project two aka Revenge and that we’ll all have a lovelier than lovely Easter.
