Angel Rights reviewed by Rob Stevens

Angel Rights at the Hollywood Fringe Festival bills itself as “an original lighthearted musical ensemble comedy that takes place in the celestial realm of heaven”. The production I saw was definitely earthbound if not hellbound. There is not much comedy and even less music in this tale of angels trying to form a union in order to get better working conditions in heaven. The sparse credits list no writer or composer or director. The cast of nine may all have sported wings but their comedy did not fly with this viewer. The audience whooped and hollered at nearly everything. Either they were all friends or relatives, or they had a very liquid Sunday brunch.
