"the origin of man" - the latin word Manus referred to the distal part of the forelimb of a vertebrate, including the wrist and hand or the carpus and forefoot. This should not be confused with "Manna" something entirely different, even if the experience of eating such manna causes the same bliss as a Manicure... Anyway, the root Manus is used in such words as "Manual" (as in labor, not a book of instructions). Note the latin word Carpus as that word has become trendy to use as in "Carpal Tunnel Syndrom" to which many of us Kimlets and Hainsies might someday experience...

I have a question: Why are cows referred to as "neat" animals? The first definition of "neat" in my dictionary is: Pertaining to bovine animals.
I was nearly fired over this, because The Boss was sure I meant "meat animals."

BK-
Does it bother the creators of CD's today that the user can randomly play whatever tracks they want to..in order..out of order.Whatever.
In the days of the LP(remember them)you played the disc in the order that the performers wanted them listened to. The concept albums of Frank Sinatra at Capital is an example of how the artists wanted them listened to.
Your wonderful Christiane Noll A BROADWAY LOVE STORY is a classic example.
How do you feel about this easy way to distort what the artist originally intended??

I've decided to answer all these questions in tomorrow's notes, so I can expound upon them at great length and with great purpose.

Okay. I have a question.
What do you think of David Mamet?

Hello, your friendly, neighborhood spelling policeman is hear...oops, here.
Maragarine, as you and Ernest Ernest should know, is the correct spelling. It's quite simple, really. In English, the letter G is pronounced like J ("soft G") before the vowels E and I (except for a thousand words like get and give that break that rule) and like G ("hard G") before A, O, or U--except for ONE exception, and only one, that being MARGARINE. Simple, isn't it?
No, actually it's really stupid. Which is why foreigners tend to speak our language so badly--it's so complicated even the natives haven't got a clue.
None of which should detract in any way from the absolute brilliance of Ernest's lyrics.
Question for Bruce: Can you tell us more about the musical you are writing, or is it to be shrouded in mystery until it suddenly bursts forth upon the world, fully formed like Aphrodite from Zeus's head?

BK,
Any chance you will be bringing back "Stages" in any form? I have a few songs from it on a cd that was labeled as the "First Nudie Musical" soundtrack but also contains many other goodies.
This leads me to my second question; any chance of re-releasing that cd (The music of Bruce Kimmel)? It is really great.

I'm curious if you have your own favorite out of the many albums you've produced, and, if so, why?

William F. Orr states:
"None of this should detract in any way from the absolute brilliance of Ernest's lyrics."
True..very true!! But you can see them...read them..share them with your significant other.
However..we have have not even had the slightest inkling of the musical talents of Hinky Meltz.
What are the pulsating, beautiful, melodic discoveries that we have not yet heard??
Ernest without Meltz is like Hammerstein without Rodgers...is like Sondheim without Sondheim.
You get the picture!
We need to have the complete aural picture. We need a little Meltz music!!For that matter the whole canon of Meltz music.

BK: Tell us please what you REALLY thought of MOULIN ROUGE. Personally, I missed "Where is Your Heart?"

Actually, Mr. Orr, it was Athena who came out of Zeus' head. (Fully armed.)
