"THE 8/02 FIX"

bk's notes II

Well, dear readers, blow me over with a tomato, but even though I posted the 8/02 notes at 12:10, apparently, according to this here site, they posted at 11:58 so that we had one of those consarned double post days and we'd be missing a number in the archive if I didn't do these here teensy weensy notes just to have an entry for Friday. So

aren't

these

wonderful

notes?

Click on the Unseemly Button immediately for more of the same.

Here are more of the same and also same of the more. We now have an official Friday entry. You may either post further comments here, or you may post them there. Friday will be a bust, stat-wise, but at least we'll have some evening traffic, I suppose.

See you tomorrow for some real long notes.

We must have stats for this truncated friday posting. If I didn't post here and now I would feel errant and truant and truant and errant, so here I post.. post post post. I am so sad to see my radio show go into the ether. Ah well.. my 15 minutes of fame (actually 10,080 minutes) is almost up. Most hysterical and historical is the interview with Alison Fraser that Bruce did. Wow... that sexy and lurid (and lurid and sexy) passage that Ms. Fraser steamed up my monitor.

More later,

Well, since we need some Friday stats, I'll post also before I go to bed. Craig, your interview was a hoot! Some very interesting and good choices in your list. As Donald has said before, the list probably changes depending on the time and the day. I know I posted my list but I don't know how many lists I could make depending on my mood, etc. Hope more people post before 12:00 midnight pst

Ben -

Thank you.. yes. And as I said in my interview, when Donald emailed the list back to me, I was like "hm.. yeah.. those are my favorite" but if I had to write the list from memory.. I might have chosen other selections. It's highly subjective as when I did my list.. I kept it to Broadway (no off bway stuff) and I also tried to not only pick my fav song.. but songs that I thought were the best theater songs - served their purpose, etc.

Looking forward to this weekends radio show and hopefully Donald will pick some other 12's to do.. it was fun!

Why in the world will Friday be a bust site-wise? Unless you're speaking of stats in regards to comments, site stats will be the same, if not higher due to this addendum...

Mark:
bust "state-wise"... freudian slip or are you typing on your cell phone again

Posted by Craig @ 08/02/2002 08:45 PM PST

State? Why, whatever do you mean, Chris? ;-)

Never let it be said I wasn't game to post my paltry thoughts wherever there was space on the wall....

And I will post my poultry post here as well!

A Second Chance.

Just revisited Brent Barrett's "The Kander & Ebb Album". What a delight. "A Quiet Thing" is a piece of magic.

Jason. I just checked back on the file for late entries or whatever. The Bacharach musical is supposed to open in Sydney Oz soon. Mr Hal David is out here at present. I do wish they'd leave these ideas alone and come up with NEW NEW NEW shows. Book musicals for me. Real ones. I have avoided Mama Mia.

The big news for Melbourne is that "Oliver" is to begin soon. Good Grief. We are currently enduring "Wizard Of OZ". This town has no hope. Thank goodness for the amateur musical scene which is alive and well.

Jeez, I'm still up, so I'll add my bit too.

Yes, Brent barrett's version of "A Quiet Thing" is exquisite. I always thought one of Liza Minnelli's best versions of the song is when she sang it one of the Muppetts. It was very sweet. It's too late, and I have to go to work tomorrow, Off to bed......
