Wow Barbara Minkus!
She recorded the original concept album and the cast album for You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
Morning! I've been laying on the couch for the last couple of hours and can't sleep but too tired to really get up. Maybe I'll zzz a little more.
Dr Jose, we're doing the Gary Line tour today. We'll be doing the lower loop first. We had no dinner/show plans though. I may go see what's half price. Any thoughts as to something an 80 year old lady who likes American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Regis, Glee, Everybody Loves Raymond and Seinfeld etc. would like?
Naz loves being in the NBC building because he was near his favorite newscaster, Brian somebody!
City Bakery hot chocolate is definitely on the agenda!
And the word of the day is: DENTULOUS!
Great news about the Gardenia show! Congrats!
Have fun in NYC and HHW mini gathering vibes for the screening.

Your mom might like Elf which has just started previews at the old Martin Beck now the Al Hirschfeld on W. 45th near the corner of 8th Avenue.
FJL, your new avatar makes you look disturbingly like my collaborator on my version of Reefer Madness. If you knew my collaborator, you would understand why I say "disturbingly." ;DI'm glad I don't know the background of that. But I like the new avatar.

I had a mild sedative for my cat when I moved from Arizona. It worked well. He slept all day and at night he ran around the motel room and was fine
Looks like I will be able to get the Miss Karen family into adoptions tomorrow.
I am hoping this is the end of Kitten Season for the year.
When I moved from Middletown, Ohio, to upstate New York, I got a kitty sedative for Benjamin Stone. It didn't work. He crawled out of his box and decided the best place for him in the rental truck was under the clutch. I drove through the night on a one-lane highway through Pennsylvania. The other lane had been removed. It rained and visibility was next to nothing. And the cat kept getting mad whenever I had to shift gears.

Anyone? Facebook? Hello? :)
Anyone? Facebook? Hello? :)
I do see both announcements on FB, one includes an RSVP. I did not see a personal event request which I gather you didn't send.
I just tried inviting those in/around PDX as well as all the HHW-ers I could see. I'll trying sharing next. I'll try most anything once. :)

How do you do that?
Sorry to read that David Cassidy got arrest for DUI.
I just dropped off Miss Karen and her family at the clinic for their surgeries.
I had a wonderful 3-hour coffee get-together with my longtime friend Becky. We hadn't seen each other for more than a year and a half, during which both of us have experienced major health crises. The coincidence we discovered is that the male hematologist I've been seeing and the female rheumatologist she's been seeing share a very unusual last name. I suspect they're husband and wife. We agreed that we'd really missed each other and made plans to meet again for coffee before she and her husband leave for warmer climes for the winter.

Do Events go out to everyone automatically or do I have to do something?
I did do the sharing thing, Jose, it's the top post on my wall.
Jose Simbulan, Facebook enabler. :)

...And these videos get better and better... And I cry more and more... But it's always a good cry.
I took this photo this morning from the great room deck:
Has anyone besides Jennifer read the Jo Nesbo's books? Our library recently got in the fourth of his books to be translated, THE REDEEMER, and I'm only 3rd in line on the wait list.
After last week's show, I need to stay up and watch PRIVATE PRACTICE tonight.

The previews look chilling.
I was just putting away some stuff when this photo fell out of an old historic Moroccan magazine holder my Dad brought home from WWII. This was my childhood Basset Hound, Happy. But I am posting this pic for one DR who may find something else of interest in the photo:

DR Ginny - It must be the season for reconnecting with old friends. I've had some wonderful face-to-face "reunions" over the past couple of weeks with some dear friends myself.

I am hoping that you don't mean Happy's genitals.

Well I haven't read them. In fact I've never heard of Jo Nesbo.
Has anybody seen the movie THE LAST SONG? I had no idea what it was about (had not read the book). And surprisingly (in a good way) the dvd jacket did not give away the plot.
I was surprised. But I realy liked it a lot.
Knee Vibes to Elmore and Cilla's friend's mom (or is iit Cilla's Mom's friend?)

I bought my baseball ticket
If anyone asks me what I'm thinking about tomorrow evening, I'll have to say Jews and Baseball. Don't think I'll explain, tee hee.
I am a Facebook neophyte--can some of you tell me if you got the invitation to BK's "event" in Portland? Thanks.
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And it's raining in New York City.
*Hope you brought your umbrellas DR edisaurus.
Sorry to read that David Cassidy got arrested for DUI.
And speaking of "Jews and Baseball", I won't be able to join the HHW Gang tomorrow night at The Quad for the 6:30 screening, but I should be at the 4:40 screening, so maybe I'll be able to get some Hello's and Hugs on the way out/in.
Edi, I saw the photos of you and Mamasaurus from Bonnie's link on FB, You both look FABULOUS!
Oh, I'm not sure if any DRs were watching - I wasn't - but NBC has cancelled "Undercovers".

Hooray!!!
And I bought a little something to send to George! :-)
The Broadway station on XM had the revival cast of Sweet Charity on tonight, which I've never heard before. Loved the orchestrations, thought Applegate was OK, but was obviously trying to channel Verdon. Didn't like O'Hare, at least in his affected voice. When he belted, he was great. But where oh where did "A Good Impression" come from? Was it a Coleman/Fields trunk song?
We've just locked down our one and only LACCTAA event, but it's a doozie - a panel of the busiest directors of LA musical theater - Lewis Wilkenfeld (the artistic director of Cabrillo Music Theater), Steve Glaudini (the artistic director of Musical Theater West), Daniel Henning (the artistic director of the Blank Theater), Michael Michetti (director of many Reprise shows and straight plays at A Noise Within, as well as tons of waiver theater musicals), and Calvin Remsberg (lots of musicals around town - and best known as Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd). I'd say that's a pretty stellar panel.
Back from the Gardenia - we had a ton of fun before the show, and the singer was perky, but the act, originally directed by Barry Kleinbort and MD'd by Chris Denny (here Shelly Markham) was very strange and kind of a textbook example of everything I don't like about cabaret and that I strive to stay away from.

OH! So I guess the show would not be what you'd call a "guilty pleasure", huh? ;)
