Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Skip!  I printed them out and will give them to him.

We ended up doing Haru's Japanese for birthday lunch and Virgil's BBQ for birthday dinner.  Skip (of course) baked a great cake for us for his own birthday, and our company didn't want any cake, so more for us, and some left for tomorrow!  Skip also got a chocolate fruit arrangement form Edible Arrangements, which we shared, though Liam didn't get any.

I am sorry did you say "the company didn't want any cake"?!!

This baffles the imagination, especially as I have now seen photographic evidence of said  cake .   Please feel free to box up and mail their slices, I trust you have my address

Vixmom, may I point out that you are already aware of Skip's baking ability.  Therefore, in all fairness, the slices of cake should be sent to me; who has yet to sample his talents in the kitchen.

Back from a mostly excellent preview - with the exception of five silly light cue mistakes it ran so smoothly - we weren't expecting more than thirty people and somehow ended up with over sixty - they were a wonderful audience - very with the show from the beginning.  A few pacing problems with both energy and cue pick-up things, so I gave those notes - I didn't really have that many.

BK, I was looking at a map of LACC.  I assume the Theatre Arts building is the theater.  Where does the audience park for the shows?

Well, I must be off.  My sister and I are going to IKEA to return a kitchen island...hopefully, it won't be too much of a hassle to get all the boxes in my friend's van.  But, we're going to have dinner at IKEA, so that's good. ;D

Until later!

Well, that was an adventure. :-\

We got the van loaded and started off from Tumwater and got to the Nisqually Valley (about 15 miles north of Tumwater) when I realized that I left my wallet in my bag, which I left at my sister's house! :o

So, we had to turn around and get my wallet and driver's licence.  We then got back on the freeway and headed north again.

We only lost about 45 minutes, so it wasn't a horrible situation.  The traffic, however, was. :P From JBLM to just north of the Tacoma Dome, we came to a complete stop at least three times...and twice it was only in OUR lane!

After that, it was smooth sailing to IKEA.  We got the boxes out of the van and onto a couple of carts.  It took a while to get to one of the people who were handling returns, and then that took about 20 minutes because the woman had only been working at IKEA for five weeks.

After that, my sister had to get a few extra shelves for a shelf unit that she already has.  She had to hurry because it was almost closing time by then.

After that, we went to Bahama Breeze[/b] for dinner.  We both ended up getting half priced appetizers instead of entrees.  I got Chicken Quesadilla and my sister got both the Coconut Shrimp and the Warm Spinach Dip & Chips.

Yes.  We got there too late.  The diner closed at 8:30.  I also realized that, even if we had gotten there when we should've, we still wouldn't have had enough time to eat there, so we would've gone somewhere else, anyway.

It's in its own building close to the mall, not in it.  But yes, in that area.
