DR Jane why do you get sick when you eat breakfast? Is it from eating too early?

My kids won't eat early in the morning, either. Well, except my son, but he works nights, so when we have breakfast together it is more like him having breakfast for dinner.

Jennifer I often feel sick in the mornings though not like I used to.  When it was really bad I stopped eating breakfast.  Actually for a long time I pretty much stopped eating all day.  Now if I eat & then exercise I reflux.

When we travel I usually eat breakfast with Keith.  Fortunately he eats a little later, after we walk or go to a hotel gym.

Casino Royale is getting some wonderful comments - people can really hear the difference between this and the other two CD releases and I think what's REALLY astonishing them is how great the first presentation is - the one from the damaged tape.  What we did, that was apparently not of interest to Varese, was to compensate for the problems and fix the dropouts and the result, to my ears, is that it sounds better than the LP presentation, which is simply a flat transfer of the LP as it originally sounded.  Ours sounds fuller and more detailed - that was even astonishing to me.

I wrote a little over nine pages today, then Xeroxed and dropped them off at Muse Margaret's house.  No one was home, so I left them by the front door.

I'm off to a band rehearsal for a production of The Wedding Singer  Kind of sneaked up on me this afternoon.  Haven't seen the part yet and I'm suppose to combine Key 2 and Key 3.  I wish I could line up enough playing gigs so I don't have to musical direct!  I know that sounds weird, but I'm almost to the point where I find it easier not being in charge.

One of the few remaining leading ladies from the days of the early talkies, Miriam Seegar, died last weekend at her home in Pasadena at the age of 103.

She debuted in films in 1928 and retired from acting in 1932 when she got married. When her husband died in the late 1950s she began working as  an interior decorator, a job she retired from in 1995 at the age of 88.

She sure was purty!

How well did you know her husband?

I love a good brunch buffet.  I have not had grits since I left New Jersey, but I do love them with butter and salt and pepper (probably only pepper now).  I love corned beef hash with scrambled eggs, hash browns with sausage gravy and sourdough toast. I alos love a good omelet, usually sausage or bacon with cheddar.

And I do really enjoy a Sausage and Egg McMuffin with cheese.

My cruise ship last year had wonderful scrambled eggs and corned beef hash.  Except when they started mixing exotic things in with the eggs!

My favorite is two eggs over medium (used to say easy but in too many places that means raw) with hash browns and wheat toast.  I add bacon or sausage depending on my mood.

Instant oatmeal is yummy...don't like the consistency (or is it consistancy) of the real stuff
