Good Evening!

Just back for a little bit between shows...  Just had the rest of the pizza I ordered last night for my dinner.  Still pretty good.  :)

I will be flying into NY on the 16th, then driving to Boston for our screening as opening night film of the Human Rights Watch film festival. Peter and I will drive back on the 18th and I may stay over that night and head back to Atlanta on the 19th or 20th, depending on my work schedule. If I have a chance to see a show, any recommendations? Either something you've seen or heard good things about?

I will also try to start loading in footage for our egg cream film wihle I'm there!

Happy birthday DR DakotaCelt!!!

Good back vibes to DR Jane. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Welcome to Miss Karen.

I also watched CRASH last night. I had never seen it.  It was interesting. I did enjoy it (although it's not my typical kind of movie).  But it was interesting to see how everything tied together. And how various people could be good and evil at various times.

I also have the Reese Witherspoon movie JUST LIKE TO HEAVEN to watch. And SUPERMAN RETURNS. And THE LAKE HOUSE (or whaterver the sandra bullock movie is called).

Oh and yesterday i also watched PRIME (with uma and meryl streep).

Earlier today, I received an e-mail that I thought the subject said, "Happy New Year from a Celebrity."  I was so excited.  I thought, "Wow, a New Year wish from the WSMA.  Or if not him, then, at least, BK or perhaps, even, elmore[/b]."

But no such luck.  Instead it was a holiday wish from Celebrity Cruise Lines.  However, they did offer me some great deals on a two-week Hawaii cruise.

The Chicago pizza didn't work out.  Maybe I did something wrong, but it tasted weird and I dumped it and went to Quickie's and got some yummilicious slices.

Welcome to brand-spanking-new DR Miss Karen.

I had a teacher in grammar school we had to call Miss Karen, evidently because she believed our little eight year old tongues couldn't wrap themselves around Miss Klabernowski (or whatever it was.)

If I were to be offered a celebrity cruise email - I would assume it was something to do with TCB!

Do you want a recommendation of something light and funny or something a little more serious? Musical or drama?  Have you seen the Grey Gardens film?  If you are at all familiar with it you'd probably enjoy the musical. Christine Ebersole was great. http://www.greygardensthemusical.com/

Drowsy Chaperone http://www.drowsychaperone.com/ was delightful.

If you're a David Hyde Pierce fan, he's wonderful in Curtains http://www.curtainsthemusical.com/, he has the lead and I think it's a perfect role for him.

Haven't seen too much on the drama side.  Our NYC friends may have other suggestions

for the DR. Who fans...

I just finished watching the first two eppies of the new Doctor Who series season 1. For some odd reason Rose reminds me of Romana II.  Is it me or just my imagination?
Well, they both have long blonde hair...

Romana II never had Rose's edge, and was quite well educated.  On the other hand, Rose is very much the Doctor's equal, not someone inferior who he has tagging along, which is exactly like Romana II.  And neither one of them was/is a screamer.

Busy day at work today, what with so many shoppers getting ready for their New Year's Eve partaying.  It will be the same tomorrow.

Monday, on the other hand, should be dead, particularly after all the bowl games.

And then, on Tuesday, der Grampa and I will be taking the grandlads to the bookstore to shop shop shop!  I've already got a trio of books that I want for myself.  And then we'll be taking them to a very nice steakhouse where we'll try to teach them proper manners for dining out, the way Magic Mommy hasn't bothered to teach them.

Is this the revival with Hugh Jackman?

Wouldn't it have been a lot better if he'd simply taken his shirt off?

(A John Barrowman reference.   ;D)

Is John Barrowman a fan of Hugh Jackman's shirtless body?

I had a 10th grade biology teacher named Mrs. Kunz (pronounced like Koontz, re: Dean Koontz).

She had an ugly streak, however.  If she felt a student was unprepared she would go out of her way to humiliate him or her.

You can imagine how they pronounced her name after that.

I've done precious little outside of talking a couple of hours with a dear friend.  It's been an ugly day for sinuses.

I am staying ahead of the problem...just...for now.

Time to get dinner going.  Leftover turkey, with a mushroom gravy and rice.  And I've got the makings for a neat citrus salad, featuring tangerines, blood oranges, raspberries, and lemon yogurt as a dressing.
