Yes it is the solstice, the day for putting on a white robe and dancing around the StoneHenge replica that we all have in our backyards.

The perfect day for DR CILLA LIZ to start her new office adventure in the Frances Farmer building!

Times Square NYC held a Summer Solstice Celebration this morning in Times Square of all places.  Yoga and meditation in the middle of Times Square.  I was actually thinking I would go if I happened to be up that early since they were giving away some nice swag.  And I also just wanted to see people doing Downward Dog in the middle of it all.

Are you channeling Michael Barnum? Of course he'd want to do all that with Tim Considine at his current age, so you can add to the list "lead his walker."

You do know how to make me chuckle, Larry Moore!

In exactly one week from this very hour (adjusted for the time difference) I will be landing in NYC's JFK airport.

And exactly one week from now, DR elmore will starting clearing the bird poop off his fire escape.  At least just the stuff he can brush off with his broom.  -Pray for a good rain, DR MBarnum.  ;)

In other news...

I just finished my Blueberry-Protein Smoothie, and I'm hoping to head to the Park to go for a run in a little bit.  However, my right knee feels a little off this morning.  Hmm... So, I may go ahead and lace up the running shoes, head down there, start off slowly, and see where it goes from there.  Today is supposed to be a weight-training day, but I really feel like going for a run.  And a longer run today too - three laps instead of my usual two.  But again, we'll see.

As today is my last workday this week, I have ZERO expectations of receiving my last shipment from Deep Discount (mailed last Wednesday) or any of several Amazon.com marketplace orders....all being shipped through USPS.

I don't know if BK's problems are associated with the general lackluster performance of the USPS that has been markedly worse since the price hike of stamps went into effect.

I have "hopes" for UPS delivering a package that is actually designated as "out for delivery."  In it will be the complete "The Yogi Bear Show" series, including cartoons with my favoritest of all ducks -- Yakky Doodle -- and the Pink Panther's "intelligent" cousin Snagglepuss.

Still, UPS isn't always up-to-snuff on getting those "out-for-delivery" packages to me on the same day they are "out-for-delivery".

How X-rated is this fantasy of yours? Or is it one of your Nursie ones where you empty the bed pans and feed them their geratol and viagra?

I wonder if a "sponge bath" is part of this deal.

Well... My knee does feel better.  I just need to stretch a bit.  :)  So, now that the proper authorities have been alerted, I'm off to the Reservoir.

Laters...

Thanks, DRs JRand and Rodzinski.  Not everyone in our department agrees with me.  Some are actually jumping for joy.

It's a conundrum, isn't it!  You wish them well and continued success, but you fear the unknown of "who" will be replacing them and whether life will change forever as a result.

Yakky Doodle....because he would sweet-talk Baby Huey into submission.
