Hi all!  Busy weekend.  Started off with me having one of tired spells Friday night so I went to bed early.  Saturday I had a blood draw at 7:30 am and went shopping.  For whatever reason I was still tired so I went to bed very early again.  Yesterday I mowed the front and back yard, blew the sidewalk  and side porch off and washed both dogs.

Well the boss is out of the office this week!  Who and Ray!

Vibes to all who need them.  Have a wonderful day!

Good morning, all.

I'm early today because I have to get in four 10-hour days this week. They won't let us work Wednesday and they won't pay us contractors for the day off. I'm just saying, not complaining.

TOD: I vote for the Laurie Beechman show and include "I Thank You for Your Love" from "A Broadway Christmas."

And speaking of Beechman, a documentary of her life was supposedly filmed a few years back. Does anybody know the name and if it were ever released on DVD?

Congrats on the success of the latest show, BK.

I second George's message from last night about autographed copies of the "Follies" booklet.

Good morning, all!  I slept so well that I did not want to leave my bed this morning. I remember no dreams at all.

This morning, I must get myself to Toyland to await a shipment of paper from Office Depot. I've got fixes to finish in the scores while I wait. As soon as the shipment arrives, hopefully by noon, I will head back uptown, since I have my final conference phone call on the score of DEAREST ENEMY at 3:00pm.  And that's my day.

BK, good news about last night's program!

That is all.

And the word of the day is: MUMPSIMUS!

Strange--this is the third time this week I've run across this word--twice on Twitter and now at this here site.

Luckily, my little neck of the woods was unaffected by the storms that came through Thursday night, but I have relatives and friends whose homes had some damage and/or still without electricty.  I'm amazed by just how much destruction was caused by this "pop-up" thunderstorm.

Yesterday - which was the first day of 21 days in a row that I have to be either at the theater OR the bookstore - as I backed out of the driveway, the check engine light came on, and the engine was missing so badly, I was lucky to get to the theatre and back home.

I don't have time FOR THIS.  BUT.....I had to take the car to the shop this morning, and I am going to use my nephew's pick up truck to drive to rehearsal tonight.....hopefully the car will be done by Tuesday night's rehearsal.....but quien sabe?

Check engine lights are the worst.  Not because they necessarily mean horrible news, but because in so many cases...you don't have any idea what it means!

BUT the set has been put up....painting goes on today....and some technical work.....buzzers and telephone bells are being hooked up - and hopefully some of the lighting work will be done today as well.....but after all, we don't open for ten days.

Tonight is the Act One run thru.....which because we can only have one intermission - it includes Act One Scenes One & Two and Act Two Scene One....

Not MR BK'S favorite thing to do to a play, I know.

Well.....that is SO true.....however since my engine was bumping along and I had no acceleration.....I figured it was more serious than the gas cap being loose....or the coolant being low.....this time.  We shall see.....

Don't you just love this?

The landscaping company we hired to do our mulching and tree trimming was scheduled to come tomorrow (Tuesday).

So, at eight o'clock this morning, we get a call that they are on their way.

 :o

After a bit of negotiating, we got them to agree to come this afternoon.

BENJAMIN KRITZER.  Fantastic.  Simply wonderful.  Bravo, sir.  More!! More!!

Oh wait, there IS more...   :)

LOL.....that book was my introduction to MR BK as well DR CHAS SMITH.  I read it a year or so before I even knew about this here site....although I had noticed MR BK's name on several CD's.

Monday morning greetings!  We have a very quiet week ahead and will probably spend most of it inside in the AC.  No break in sight for our heat wave...
