So, the word "beneficiary" is deemed a bit too legal for some I work with (at an insurance company). "Family" isn't necessarily those to whom a person leaves his money, however, so it's not quite right. Thesaurus.com recommends "crown prince/princess" as one synonym. Hmm. Don't think that's it, either.

We had rain yesterday.  And cool (for us at this time of year) weather.  How great is that?!!

I am pleased to announce that I have finally graduated from the ONE-person play.

PUTZ is a TWO-person play, and it is somewhat autobiographical.

Please watch the trailer, then read the play.  I know that you will enjoy (and quite possibly) identify with them.

For some strange reason, I connect those with WHAT'S MY LINE.

Hi all.

Just wanted to let you know that John did pass away yesterday with Thelma at his side.  Thank you all again for the wonderful vibes.  I'm sure they helped to ease his passing.

My prayers and condolences to Thelma and to all of John's friends and family.

Thursday morning greetings!  First post after BK = Insomnia.

Good morning, again.  I went back to bed about 6am and slept until 9.  Weird night...

I hope this doesn't mean now that you and Richard have abandoned the Methodists for the anglicans that you're into kinky sects?

The orchestra parts are now in the hands of the shippers and I am killing time until I head off to see the matinee.

The traffic is a breeze today, and I had two wonderful taxi drivers to help me with my bundles.  I am going to cart the string parts over to the McGlinnventory on Saturday morning so they will be packed and waiting at the office for shipment on Monday. All is good,

Nicky wanted me to get up and give him breakfast at five o'clock.  I argued for an extra hour.  At six o'clock I was ready to get up, but I had a terrible time getting Nicky, the slumbering log, to move so that I could get out of bed.

DR Elmore  :o

My next post will be a milestone, so I don't want it to be a kvetch.  I've just purchased, from the iTunes Store, the ONCE cast album.  The download was slow, but is now complete.  My printer ran out of unicorn blood ink in the middle of printing the booklet.

DR George, I was asking about the Complete Show Boat laser disc set because it had fascinating extras. I can live with never seeng the 1951 SHOW BOAT ever again. The 1936 one is the great one.

The 1951 "Show Boat" is memorable for its amazing orchestrations, especially the underscore arrangements.

And then there is that hauntingly sad, beautiful shot of Ava Gardner at the end.

I made the mistake last evening of drinking regular diet Pepsi instead of decaf diet Pepsi and I was bug-eyed awake until 1:00 am...

Back from doing some more archiving of cinema material. It was so hot in the office and no-one had a key to open the windows. Three hours in such heat was the most I could take.

I think she looks sad because she knows the rest of the movie is such a paddle boat wreck.
