I must say I still have the mug from the label which must not be named.  Is it a collectible yet?

Re:  UPS

Bruce, I have had several packages over the years not get delivered on the day they're supposed to arrive...and have seen the "Attempted delivery" designation.

As it was explained to me one evening near 8 p.m. when I, very upset, called from the place where the package was to have been delivered...the package for which I waited "out front" so the driver could not possibly be missed or miss me...and said package suddenly being reported as "Attempted delivery....", the drivers may have any number of reasons they didn't get to me, but they have only one choice for reporting and that's the "Attempted Delivery."

I had gone on and on about my having waited and having never seen the truck in the more than 2 hours I waited outside (yes, it was something I was ANXIOUS to get) and it was absurd that the driver had claimed he attempted to deliver when he was never anywhere near the building.

I suspect that your driver was delayed at some point and missed the closing of the UPS store...so he had to report the why of his non-delivery and had only one option to choose.

They don't tell you that up front....but if you are persistent enough, and can confirm you know the truck never showed up, they finally break down and tell you.

Woohoo, I did get my BK book yesterday! Along with the sparkling gift and two Kritzerland CDs that I ordered!

It may be awhile before I can sit down to read it as I have a couple of others ahead. Right now I am being entertained by the scandalously wonderful FULL SERVICE by Scotty Bowers.

DRs JRand and Elmore, I hope you have your copies of this book....you would love it!

As a Navy veteran, I have to say "Ewwwwwww."   (Navy term for "toilet" is "head").

Laundry finished, it's time for the vacuuming and dusting before I can listen to the 4th CD.

I spent the hour while the clothes were drying listening to British actors who'd been in London productions of Sondheim and Rodgers over the past 5 years: several good ones are Australian-based, so that's out. ne's a mediocre Tony from a WEST SIDE STORY, one from the last revival of INTO THE WOODS isn'tceertain he's a pop, opera, or rock singer and all fields suffer from this indecision. My favorite: A Mr Snow from the last CAROUSEL revival who sounds 25, but whose resume says he's 52! Since the clip is already 3 years old,  I don't want to commit to this one. Oy!

I love the new book.  It's so neat to hear the stories of the CDs we know and love.  It's forcing me to go back and listen to them after I've read about them.   Thank you, bk, for letting us into your world in yet another way.

Please, no rain this weekend.  I really need sunshine and walks to not have any more tantrums.
My mouth seems to have a mind of it's own at times like that.   :-[ :-[

While he doesn't have tantrums ;)  Craig is not happy there is so much rain during his week off.  It is making returning to the East Coast more appealing vs staying moving north of us, and to more rain.

My boyfriend came over yesterday while I was at work and fixed all the things in the yard that needed to be mended with electric tool things.

He's really sweet.    :)

And has this look of total "what's the matter with you" on his face when I and my mouth are having tantrums.

It's rather quite uneasy for me to look at him.  ???

Sweet boyfriend.

Do you like to dance?  Put some music on and do some aerobics, or cover up and walk in the rain.  You need exercise!!!

Gratuitous Post No. 49.

I did type Gratuitous Past, but caught that. I now have to decide if my past is gratuitous or not.

I'm up after a really good night's sleep, which I really needed.  I called the UPS hub and it's similar to what dear reader Ron says - my package was on the wrong truck yesterday.  The driver ticked the attempted delivery thing - and the woman at the hub didn't know why because there now is a place to put the real reason.  The package was delivered this morning so that's that.

I am halfway through BK's new book!  Thank You!  It's marvelous!  Review at B&N to follow!

I read FULL SERVICE a while back.  It becomes quite repetitious.

We have another storm system setting up in the Bay Area.  Lots of rain expected tonight and tomorrow.  We need it badly as we're still below our annual average.  Weatherman this morning predicted we'd be having rain well into April (which isn't usually the case).  Last year, however, we had rain into June, so it looks to me like there isn't any "norm" any more.

I'm feeling slightly giddy.  I don't know why.

Other than it's Friday, it's Payday, and there is a lot of buzzing excitement over the Mega Millions jackpot which is now at a record-sharring $650 million.  Can you imagine what you'd do with that kind of money?
