Here’s a Sunday question for the class:
What type of alarm clock or other device do you use?
Mine is an older, probably 1980s-vintage clock radio, a type I’ve always been comfortable with except for one feature, and that’s the fact that the time setting buttons are completely unguarded; i.e., you (or, let’s say, a cat) can accidentally change the current time setting at any time. If the design of these had included something else you had to hold down to change the time, like when you set the alarm, it would be perfect.
Most days I don’t have to set any alarm. (The cats come with an automatic person getter upper that is pretty much undefeatable.) But when I do, it’s the clock radio set to NPR, backed up by the iPhone set to five minutes later.
