Isn't that Pat Robertson's televsion show?

Did I catch it right that Cillaliz got herself a new kitty?

No, I haven't gotten one yet. Callie has been sick - she's getting better, but not completely yet. So although I have looked and talked about a couple cats I've seen I'm not going to get one at least until she recovers

I watched Robert Osborne interviewing Debbie Reynolds in a 2002 episode of PRIVATE SCREENINGS. I thought I hadn't seen this before, but as she got into the interview and talked about Agnes Moorehead, I remembered that I had seen this, at least in part. An OK interview, but, of course, some of the films I would have asked about weren't mentioned.

Then, I watched ENTOURAGE from Sunday night. I found the season premiere very underwhelming. The show ended its second season on such a high, and this was a letdown for me. But, perhaps things will improve in the weeks to come.

I watched THE OFFICE rerun tonight and enjoyed Michael's feelings of isolation being omitted from Jim's cookout party. And Jim and Pam's dancing around each other when they're smitten with each other gets more poignant with every episode.

How long were we down - absolutely infuriating.  I wrote our host immediately, but either they were having a huge prob or they weren't there.  Hopefully, we'll be fine, but these people never ever tell you what was wrong.

The CSI rerun on tonight was the one I tried bypassing a couple of weeks ago when CBS must have pulled it for another episode. Anyway, because they were showing it tonight (my least favorite episode of the season), I put in a Season 5 CSI disc and wwatched an episode from it.

I tried getting on-line for about half an hour and was almost ready to give up when I finally got through.

WINDFALL tonight advanced the stories in ways that I didn't much care for. I'll probably watch again next week, but unless I like where at least SOME of the stories are going, I'll be checking out of this one after next week. Only the Luke Perry storyline is hooking me at this point.

Good Evening!

Back from "Sunset Boulevard"...

It was quite the evening at Chelsea Clearview Cinemas (Where Dreams Come True).  There was a nice size crowd, and Hedda was in rare form tonight too.  And she had a heckler of sorts in the audience.  Made for a very lively pre-show.  And the about five or ten minutes into the movie, the movie stopped and the houselights came up...  Hmm...  Then a couple of minutes later the houselights went back down and the movie started back up.

It was my first time seeing the movie all the way through in one sitting.  I've usually just caught it on TV in snippets up until now.  It really is a true classic.  -And seeing it in a movie theatre filled with predominantly gay... I mean, predominantly filled with gay men added that extra special touch to the proceedings.

It was also interesting that they were showing it via an actual reel and not a DVD - which they now have the capability to do.  Yes, there were specks and scratches, but just seeing the movie on the big screen more than compensated for those "artifacts".

-And I never realized that William Holden was such a hunk.  The very audible reaction in the theater when he came out of the pool was priceless!

After the movie, James met me and we walked up Eighth Avenue to forage for some dinner.  First we hit White Castle...  Oh soooo bad for you, but oh soooo good in that way that only overly-greasy fast food can be.  Then it was up to the new Junior's at Schubert Alley to split a piece of their Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake...  Whoa!  Quite the dee-lish slice, and we weren't able to finish it.

And, now, we digest.

And I was running into old friends and acquaintance all night tonight as we walked up Eighth Avenue.  It was kind of "scary" after awhile.  People I hadn't seen in a few weeks, people I hadn't seen in a few years.  And since we hit the Theatre District around 10:30, I was running into everyone leaving their shows.  Quite the "Hi!-fest".

It was an unexpected cool day here -- only 101F. So I did a lot of yard work today. A most exciting day.

Well I'm not watching Piazza or eating Pizza.

I'm cataloguing my CDs.  Even if the cost price had been $20 each I could have bought a house instead!!

A word or two of thanks of DR's Jose and Matt H and other viewers. It has been a long wait but the final episode of "Six Feet Under" will be aired here next week.  I have appreciated not knowing where the characters go!  The most rewarding TV experience I have had in decades!  If only "Carnivale" had been allowed to continue to a worthy conclusion.

It's been wonderful writing when characters have been allowed to grow and when their choices may have been surprising and unpredictable, they have neverthless been acceptable in terms of their "flaws".

I'm finally home and watching "Windfall."  I don't really like this show.  A lot of very attractive people making some dumb decisions.  I just don't care about them.

Tomorrow, I will be gone all day.  I'm taking the day off from work and will help my friend Margo move her daughter back home from college in Portland, Oregon.  We just have to go down there and get her stuff and come back (hopefully, we'll at least have time to stop at The Cheesecake Factory...I've never been to one).  But we have to be back in time for me to get to Applebee's in Lacey by 5:00 p.m., because tomorrow is my mom's birthday and that's where she wants to go. :) So we can't dilly-dally.
