And, as has been aptly demonstrated [not here at HHW], just because you have money doesn't mean you have taste!  :)

I have no money. But I do have taste. Bad taste, but taste nonetheless.

I have created my first DVD....whew!  A short clip from the internet from THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED.

Not the best quality sound or picture wise....but it's done!!

Who cares about the sound as long at the pic is clear.  ;)

Favorite appetizer is the Mozzerella fritta at Pietrasanta, which sounds less hedonistic than what it is - breaded, fried cheese.

And then there's that totally addictive house bread at Pietrasanta!  It must have tons of butter and olive oil in it.

-And I also like Pietrasanta's fegatini appetizer - sauteed chicken livers with balsamic vinegar.

Well, I just made the final call to Vehicles for Charity, and all I have to do now is wait for the towing service to call me sometime in the next 48 hours.  However, I also did find out that if takes the towing service longer than two to three days to make the pick up, all I have to do is leave the title in the car, and take my plates off, and they can still pick up the car without me being there.  :)

WHEW!!!  I can't believe I'm finally getting rid of/giving away the car.  :)

I sat outside a Denny's overlooking a wash. I was afraid for a moment that the three sheriff cars that drove by me might stop and question me about my suspicious behavior. It has happened before.

Did you have your camera with you, Laura? Might not your Nature Photographer persona come in handy?

PS. You DO have interesting experiences!

Having grown up with a mother who used paparika on the top of her deviled eggs; it was quite a shock the first time I tasted my Aunt Connie's deviled eggs, which she topped with Cayenne pepper.

I have neither Equity card nor talent.

I beg to differ.  You have a great talent for photographic composition.

You are getting rid of your car the same week the CNN story runs about the $225,000.00 a year parking stall in New York.

Thanks to MATTH and GEORGE and others who've mentioned BAGHDAD CAFE, a film I was curious about. So many movies, so little time!  I'll put this one on my list.

Gotta go run errands. It's in the 90's here--not the best errand-running weather, but they must be done.

Stay cool, everyone!

Well, no, not exactly.  I would say she has a similar technique of vocal production.  And her very own personality!  :)

I'm still amazed that I managed to keep my car in NYC for about a year.  Yes, I had to move it twice a week for the street cleaning, but I was most "surprised" that in all that time I only had two parking tickets!

I'm up, barely, and groggy, but I must shower and get ready for a realllly long day and evening.  Haven't decided whether or not to bring the computer.

Do you recall which actress?  That took guts - guess she got some auditions just because the casting people were too curious to see who would do that.

I don't recall her name but I'm fairly certain she was someone well-known.  I think it's been about ten years since I read that.

Nope, I am now car free.

Although, after driving around yesterday and this morning using my mom's car, I had forgotten just how much I actually do like driving.  Thankfully, ZipCar is now in NYC.
