BK - Are they still expecting you to donate your salary back

Not only that, but they're expecting you to donate your salary from YOUR festival, as well!     :P

The musical SAVED at Playwrights Horizons is doing a good bit of direct email advertising, which is not unusual in itself - except for the concept that they're not offering any discount in this email advertising.
In other words, nothing saved.

I shall be truant again (so what's new?).  I shall be visiting my sister who had hip replacement surgery on Wednesday.

Curiously, I haven't got a flyer on it yet.

I'd rather see a musical based on Edward Bond's play SAVED in which they stone to death a baby in its carriage than a musical based on a movie I really liked.  I think an Edward Bond musical would be wonderfully offensive.

I have found memorization, which used to be effortless, an increasing problem as I've gotten older.

I have to sing at a black tie gala event next Saturday.  I've been dreading it.  So about a month ago, I printed out all my words, laminated the sheet, and have been carrying it around with me every time I take the dog for a walk.

And I guess it worked!  First rehearsal with the accompanist last night, and I didn't forget any of my lyrics!

I also loved last night's episode of ELI STONE. One of my favorites. And his visions for the future are very interesting!

OH man, I found this cool website...the guy has taken current photos of the locations where certain episodes of HIGHWAY PATROL were shot...this here one is from the episode that I asked BK about on Wednesday, but which he did not respond and I forgot to repost (it regarded Hillhurst Variety Store).

This shows the variety store (where the climax of the episode was) now...in the episode from the 50s the store did not have that green gate

And this shows the house (now) where Brod Crawford is confronted in the driveway by a reporter (played by Paul Lukather)....

It's because of those old vhs tapes you have been watching.

DR Ron Pulliam - I'm glad things went well at the dentist.  Have you stocked up on straws for the next couple of weeks, and checked the motor on your blender?

The blender is fine.  Straws are a no-no as using same creates a vacuum in the mouth that would adversely impact the healing, according to the post-op care sheet I was given.

Well, of course not.  Back then, the gate would have been in black and white.

So, I guess no trips to soda fountain for you over the coming weeks for some canoodlin'.

This band thing has nothing to do with the Festival - it has to do with the theater, who seem to be having budget issues all of a sudden.  I'm happy to scrimp in other areas, but not the band.

Since they were providing the three musicians...and it was your salary that was paying for the two extra...is your salary bak in your hands, or have they decided that YOU can paying for the three musicians THEY were supposed to provide?

Sounds to me like 'Sicilian bookkeeping'!  Give 'em hell, Bruce!

No--it probably won't even get here until today or tomorrow.  Still slogging through this BBC Natural History set.  Did you know a whale's tongue weighs as much as an elephant?   ;D

There is a really raunchy joke in there somewhere, but I will leave it alone.

I am heading down now to watch something. It won't be HIT THE DECK as there isn't enough time before GHOST WHISPERER. So, I'll probably pick a few more BONES episodes to watch. They're SO entertaining no matter how many times I watch them.

What they're saying is that they'll pay for the pianist and the two I'M paying for will be the bass and drums, but that is not what I agreed to - so, we'll see.
