Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fixed, and now it is time for you to post until the fixed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HYGGE!

~~~Break Legs Vibes at the Robby Awards for BK!!~~~
Tonight, Margo and I are going to see The Choir of Man (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/the-choir-of-man/) at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts...as patrons! We're not ushering or volunteering. We actually got tickets and get to sit down for the whole show! Can't wait to do that!
That looks like a great show.
I am sorry that isn’t coming to Tacoma.
Welcome home DR TCB!
Thank you very much. It is great to be home.
Tritto!
-
Welcome home, Tom! Glad you're back safe and sound!
-
From last night:
Thank God Sharry didn’t wear a mic for that number, or they would have heard her perfectly at the Target Store across the parking lot.
-
Since it is almost 4:00 a.m. EST, i think I need to get some sleep
-
Goodnight!
-
Good night, Tom.
-
And good night, anyone else. I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
No 2:00 phone calls, so I slept pretty well. As soon as I fed the cats this morning, I put the laundry into the washers.
-
My tax appointment is at 11, so I will leave here just before 10:00.
I hope I get a nice bit of money back, but my favorite bank teller and I were discussing this and she alarmed me. She said her sister used to get a return of around $5,000, but this year she's only getting a return of $1,000.
-
I looked at a Michel Legrand songbook I possess, and I realized that too many of his lyrics are by two of my least favorite lyricists, the Bergmans. I do like these:
The Windmills of Your Mind
On My Way To You
I Will Wait for You
-
Good morning
-
Big refund vibes for Elmore
-
Welcome home TCB
-
Welcome home, DRs TCB & vixmom!
-
Good morning, all.
-
And welcome home, you two crazy kids.
-
There was so much soap residue in the door of the washers that I washed the laundry twice. Everything just went into the dryers.
I'm sorry to say I'm hearing this, too. And seeing it myself. I've been doing my own returns on TurboTax, and this weirdness actually started last year, which may or may not have been something peculiar to my own situation. But I got through most of the current one yesterday and will probably get it sent off this afternoon, and it ain't looking good in this respect.
-
Good morning!
Page Two.
-
Breaking the legs vibes for MR BK & Co at the Robby Awards tonight.....aren't you nominated for one or two of them?
-
Welcome home to DR VIXMOM and DR TCB.
-
I want to nominated DR JANE's post from yesterday - #168 - as the funniest post of 2019.
I know it's early, but someone is going to have to really be creative to beat it.
-
Good morning, all.
-
~~~Break Legs Vibes at the Robby Awards for BK!!~~~
And more vibes.
-
Elmore, i’m of a split mind on the Bergmans. I love their lyrics for Ballroom and find most everything else of theirs lacks any sort of subtlety, finesse or interest.
-
I read about the Fyre Festival documentary, but I don't have any of the streaming services, so I can't watch it. I guess there are two of them....one on NetFlix and one on Hulu.
But I think my reaction to the whole situation would be the same as MR BK's reaction.
-
Same here. I'd probably watch it all just fine, but be so incredulous and furious at what I was seeing and hearing....
-
Best of luck to BK for a GREAT night of Robby Awards!
-
Last night I watched one of the items on my DVR: the stage musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS.
I'm sorry I didn't see it live. I'll have to watch again to pay better attention to the story they've concocted, but I did like most of the music. Of course it's Gershwin and I love ALL of the music, but on first pass there were a few places here and there in the concert works where I'd wonder "now, why change that??" But in the scheme of things, no biggie.
I'll tell you one thing, though. I'd have to see the music but I think I could pull off playing the keyboard book. As a teen I learned the Concerto and Rhapsody fairly decently, and picked at enough of the other stuff to think it wouldn't be impossible to get it into my fingers now. It also doesn't sound like they included anything too horribly virtuosic. Anyway, looks like Tams-Witmark expects to have it available this fall, so maybe an opportunity to prove or disprove this will come along.
-
Krista, my work wife, is going to be induced today.

I am happy to have entertained you.

I am home, and I am getting a nice return, not as large as last year's, since I made a lot of money on The New Yorkers for Encores! The 2018 return will be about the same as 2016, so I'm not complaining.
-
I am having a glass of apple juice for breakfast.
-
Krista, my work wife, is going to be induced today.
Mega vibes for Krista and the baby!

Excellent and a big relief.

Well that's some good news, DR Elmore!
-
Since a diet of water and juice isn't a whole lot of nutrition, Keith suggested I skip the gym today. I will try and get out for an afternoon walk. How far we shall see.
-
I don't normally drink apple juice because it upsets my stomach. This is kind of a treat to be drinking it.
-
I"m up, I'm up - a bit over eight hours of sleep.

What were tax returns like back in 201? BC or AD?
-
Three!
-
DR ELMORE is that 201 B.C. or A.D.?
Great minds. And ours, JRand.
-
Krista, my work wife, is going to be induced today.
Mega vibes for Krista and the baby!
Babies. She’s having twins, a boy and a girl.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Nick and I reached a compromise this morning. I got up at 6:30 to feed him, and then he let me go back to sleep for a couple of hours.
-
I finished my income tax this morning and filed it. It has already been accepted by the IRS. I am getting back about $300.00 more this year than last year.
-
I lived off a lot less income this year. The tightening of the boot straps!
-
It is still snowing a little bit. It is very pretty outside, but the streets look quite passable.
-
Of course, I am not planning on going anywhere today.
-
I should take my laundry in today, but I can't quite get up the energy to unpack my suitcase yet.
-
Going through my mail from last week, the first envelope I opened was informing me that my rent is increasing by $130.00 starting April 1. And that is no April Fool's joke.
-
I am terrified of opening any more mail!!
-

I was wondering as well ;)

I can't fix that so it is outside the quote box-odd.

I suspected I messed that up when I said baby.

And saved for the cruise ;)

Do you drop it off to be done for you?
-
TCB, sorry about the increase in rent.

Nice!

Not quite as sorry as I am.
-
Going through my mail from last week, the first envelope I opened was informing me that my rent is increasing by $130.00 starting April 1. And that is no April Fool's joke.
Not nice! :o Oh, my goodness! Is that per month?? That's quite a rate hike!
-
It is still snowing a little bit. It is very pretty outside, but the streets look quite passable.
It's still snowing down here in Tumwater, too. It started last night. I got a text from work saying our building wasn't going to open until 10:00 am. Since I don't come in before 10:00 anyway, it didn't affect me. But we also got an e-mail not too long ago saying that they're going to close the building at 4:00 pm. That will affect me, but in a good way. I was going to leave early and use vacation time so that I could see The Choir of Man (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/the-choir-of-man/) tonight, but now I don't have to use my vacation time! It's Emergency Leave, because the Admin. decided to close the building!
-
I am really freezing today. After a week of sun and fun, this snowy landscape is chilling me to the bone.
-
I think our snow is finished. The snow sky is gone.

Tell me about it. Last year we mutually agreed to raise it $100.00, because they had kept the rent the same for several years after I became disabled. But I certainly didn't expect this increase.
-
Maybe it is time to reexamine buying the house I was looking at the end of last year.
-
One more post.
-
Page 4
-
Wow! Page four before one in the afternoon (Left coast time).
-
Boy, TurboTax certainly tries to scare you into buying one of their tax upgrades, even on the simplest returns.
-
DR ELMORE is that 201 B.C. or A.D.?
2016. Where did that 6 go?
-
The Internal Revenue deduction from my State Retirement payment dropped by ninety cents this month! Boy, I am in the money now.
-
Thank you, one and all, for the welcome homes.
-
I take it that vixmom returned to work today.
-
I always preferred to take an extra day before returning to the job.
-
Maybe it is time to reexamine buying the house I was looking at the end of last year.
At least you can get a loan for a house. You can't get a loan to pay rent. :-\

Get a condo, Tom! Like an apartment, you can get one with no yard that you have to take care of. :)

I probably can't afford one on my fixed income. It would be nice to be able to not have to worry about the outside maintenance.
-
I should take my laundry in today, but I can't quite get up the energy to unpack my suitcase yet.

Yes.
That is great you have a place near you that can do your laundry.

You lucked out thanks to the snow.
-
It is beginning to snow here and we expect ice with the cold temperatures. We have to be able to drive up our driveway out of the parking lot around 6:00 tomorrow morning for me to get to the out-patient area of the hospital. Management just sent an email they are salting the driveways. Hopefully it will be ok.
-
I am really freezing today. After a week of sun and fun, this snowy landscape is chilling me to the bone.
Your timing to return wasn't the best.

Are you going to call and see if they will reduce it? Does Washington have a rent increase cap?
-

A house is a lot of work and unexpected expenses.

That's what I was wondering.

I have been sipping water hoping to reduce my gag reflex from this cold that won't go away. Sigh, time is up and I need to go begin the prep drink.
Vibes I keep it down and don't have a bad reaction as I did 6 years ago.

~~~No Gagging Vibes!!~~~
-
There is NO rent control in Washington State, therefore there is not a cap or limit to the number of times a landlord can raise the rent in a year (RCW 35.21.830). Similarly, there is no maximum dollar amount or percent increase limit for a rent increase.
Yes I was back at work today, where I was pleasantly surprised to find that was was paid fur the 6 days vacation I took....after working there just over a month
To answer the question of the other day (I believe posed by John) this job is Much, MUCH better than having two screens
That is great to hear. I am so thrilled that you got this new job!! Even with only one screen.
-
Funny thing, on Friday as I was driving to Florida ( well riding, Vixdad as driving at this point), I received a text from the former coworker who dumped me in the crapper when she failed to show up to work out her two weeks notice
-
She is working at another law firm about 30 minutes from here and she said they were looking for someone to handle bank closings replace an attorney who left. Her boss knew me and knew we used to work together and asked her to find out if I would like to join their firm
-
Like I would ever willingly work with that back stabbing witch again
-
I thanked her very much for thinking of me and said I was very happy at my new job but would let her know if anything changed
-
Never burn a bridge I always say
Nope. Still it was nice of her to think of you.
-
Thank you George, TCB, and Vixmom.
I am so stupid. I was about to begin the prep when I remembered I had not taken my anti-nausea medication. I should take an an hour before I begin. I will compromise and wait half an hour.
I shall shortly be on my way to sound check and then the Robby Awards.
-
I'm up for four awards, plus I directed something that is also up.
-
And now, I'm off. The building is closing, so we all have to leave, so we are. At 5:00, I'm meeting Margo for dinner before our show.
Be back later.
-
Sipping on Gatorade before beginning the drink and during really helped. There were a few close calls but I got the first dose down without screaming, crying, or barfing. I then had some apple juice to help reduce the taste. Now to drink 32 oz of water and round one will be completed.
-
Have a nice evening George.
-
Watching Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Harris in Who Is Harry Kellerman ... and why does the title of this movie go on forever?
Have never seen it. But there are great musical people in it, including David Burns and Gabriel Dell in addition to Harris.
-
Barbara Harris came into the move more than 75 minutes into it and has completely stolen the picture away. She's remarkable in a movie that could have used more magic.
-
Happy Chinese New Year!
-
Let's move on ...
-
Six!
-
Vibes for DR JANE.
-
Award winning vibes for MR BK.
-
I posted all of the class pictures from our 8th grade yearbook.....class was divided into seven sections....and started adding the names I could remember.
I got a lot of them, but other folks helped me out with many more....there are still some no one has named.
Of course between eighth grade and senior year, many of them left our school for other schools or just left school.....the faces are familiar, but the names don't come.
-
Time to get ready for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night
-
Vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you. They worked.
-
I also thank the combination of 2 ant-nausea drugs plus Gatorade. It was suspected that my severe reaction last time was an indication I needed electrolytes.
Not only did I get an adverse reaction, I managed to drink it all, barely but I did it.
-
DR Jrand I hope you didn't have to do the prep again before your surgery.
-
Have a nice evening George.
Thanks, Jane! We did!
-
Margo and I had a leisurely dinner at Mercato's (http://www.mercatoristorante.com).
-
We both had the Caesar salad.
-
I had mine with chicken and Margo had smoked salmon with hers.
-
The waiter was cute, but not very attentive. ::)
-
We got to the theater and I chatted with a few volunteer friends.
-
We both mingled and got to our seats about ten minutes before the show started.
-
The show was great!
-
It's a scripted concert with one of the guys listed as the narrator.
-
He told the story of the pub and the guys.
-
The set is a pub and is very much like the set of Once.
-
People could also go up there and buy drinks during the pre-show.
-
Good evening.
-
I am glad you enjoyed the show, George.
-
There was no intermission...just 90 minutes straight through.
-
It looked like it would be a lot of fun, plus some eye candy.
-
I am glad you enjoyed the show, George.
Thanks, Tom. They are going to be in Bremerton tomorrow night, if you're interested.
-
It looked like it would be a lot of fun, plus some eye candy.
Umm...YES, there is that!! And nine of them, too!
-
I see that it will be at The Moore Theater in Settle this weekend.
-
After the show, they all came out to the lobby and took pictures and sold merchandise.
-
They seem to only have one CD, so I got it, and they all signed it. :D
-
I considered getting tickets, but snow is also going to be appearing in Seattle this weekend.
-
Here are their autographs:
-
The two signatures on the bottom of the left panel were either signed with markers that weren't Sharpies, or I closed the CD before they had a chance to dry. Either way, they're smudged. :(
-
I assume they were all very nice.
-
I assume they were all very nice.
They were! Here's a picture of them with me and Margo:
-
The guy on the left in the blue Hawaiian shirt was actually a temporary replacement/understudy. Margo was talking to one of them and he said that the original guy (his role is the only tap dancer in the group) was back in the UK making a movie. He'll be back with the show in a couple of weeks.
-
I don’t think I remember ever seeing a photo of Margo.
-
How was the understudy’s tap dancing/performance?
-
There is some snow outside. The only problem will be getting up the driveway.
-
Keith has set the alarm for 5:00 which seems early to me especially since I haven't gone to sleep yet.
-
~~~~~Safe traveling vibes tomorrow for Jane!~~~~~
-
How was the understudy’s tap dancing/performance?
He was great. They all were. Not a weak one in the bunch.
-
The snow has moved south to peste Jane, but has left us in a deep freeze.
-
Seventeen degrees for Tacoma, and nineteen degrees for George in Thurston County.

Yikes! The library sent out a text earlier this evening saying that my building won't open until 10:00 am tomorrow. That doesn't help me because I normally get to work around 10. ::)
-
Hopefully, they'll close the building early again. ;)
-
I hope BK is winning a whole bunch of awards!
-
He deserves to win more times than he is nominated.
-
Moving in on 200 posts!
-
And here it is...#200!!
-
While sailing the seven seas (or at least one of them) I found myself humming various songs from A CAROL CHRISTMAS.
-
Fortunately for my fellow passengers, I did not break out into song.
-
~~~~~Safe traveling vibes tomorrow for Jane!~~~~~
Thanks
It should be warmer here.
-
I think Nicky is starting to feel more secure that I am not leaving again anytime soon.
-
As I suspected, BK won no awards. I can always predict who will. Come from Away won music and lyrics, which, for me, are its weakest link. All three Kritzerlands lost to a solo cabaret act that I would never have any interest in seeing for very specific reasons. But I had fun hosting and I think everyone had a good time.
-
I guess I should write some notes.
-
I am very sorry, Bruce.
-
You were robbied again!
-
Tomorrow, I should find out if I meet the qualifications to be able to buy this one house. If that happens, I will then have to see if I get pre-approved for a loan.
-
WOW! Page 8!
-
Good night, George
Good night, Jane.
Good night, BK.
That's too bad. But glad that you had fun!
That would be great! Good luck, Tom!!
-
And good night, Tom.
Well, even though my building isn't opening until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, I need to go to bed now because I normally don't get there until 10:00 a. m., or so. Hopefully, they close the building early again, too.
-
Whether the building closes early or not, I'll leave early because I'm going to be involved in a reading of a new show on Saturday, and we're having the first of only two rehearsals tomorrow. That's going to be fun!
-
Good night all, and have a pleasant tomorrow. :)
