and my second favorite of a stage performance is this one with the late great Lucia Popp.

Do I see an Edisaurus looming in the distance?

Back from a good work session - several decisions made and arrangements done.  We're moving right along.

I recommend Knowing When To Leave to everyone, but we just did it in Linda Purl's act, so it's a no go here.  I think elmore will be happy with Joan's CD - I really didn't let her go to the Meadowlark place.

Caught up with e-mails and telephonic calls.  I had another call from a post office person yesterday (from the branch where the problems have occurred) - he left a message yesterday along with a phone number - that number has been busy everytime I've called it.  I just called the regular number - they have no idea why he'd leave a number that's always busy.  He'll be back in a half-hour and I guess we'll have a little chat then.

No.  Its a Book of the Month Club (or whatever) issue .  Larry did some orchestrations for his close and personal favourite John McGlinn.  I have the record set.  I guess the Sondheim set is better known.

No longer.  Book-of-the-Month Club dropped it ages ago from their catalogue.  I hardly ever see it on eBay.  I have a set that I entered into my iTunes and I could burn you CDs if you would like.

Nope!  This was a 2-CD/2-LP compilation of New York songs from the 1890s through 1984 or so.

Thanks Larry - it would save me quite a few hours of cleaning discs and transferring them etc.

I could say so much about Maestro McGlinn and his research, but since I am bound by silence, I will say nothing.

The Sondheim set hardly ever shows up as well.

Good Evening!

I just had some breakfast for dinner: scrambled eggs with cheese and a bagel.  Good and comforting.  And best of all, I didn't have to venture out into the cold for din-din.

Of course, now I want some chocolate, but there's none in the apartment right now.  Well, there is that box of liquer-filled chocolates I received at Christmas, but I'm not really in the mood for those right now.

Through the magic of YouTube, I've just discovered a heretofore unknown (to me) Shirley MacLaine movie--JOHN GOLDFARB, PLEASE COME HOME.  It looks like a wonderfully silly 60s comedy.  It's not available on DVD or on VHS, for that matter.  I want to see it!  Anyone ever catch it?  Has it ever been on TCM?

I saw it when it came out. A loooooong time ago!

And the word of the day is: HESTERNAL!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde -
A HESTERNAL dance, to be sure,
But more their style than, say, the macarena.

In the meantime, there are tons of Mac forums on the web.  Any luck with those?
