OH!

So... My brother, Mike, will be heading back up to NYC on the 28th and 29th - basically a "long" overnight trip.  He'll be bringing all three kids with him - although, Emily may end up staying down in Virginia with her Mom.  And my parents will be coming up with them!

Since they'll be driving up, and since they're coming up during a "peak" week, they'll be staying in Weehawken, and just taking the ferry back and forth to Manhattan.  Now I just need to see what else they can do and see in less than 48 hours in NYC.  The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is the only thing that is a "definite", and now I need to investigate what other activities would be be "family-friendly" - with a family equaling a father, three kids and their grandparents.  Oh, and I guess an uncle too.  :)

DR JOSE - have you made it up to the Museum of the City of New York yet?  It should be pretty close to your house.....it's like 105th and 5th or something like that.

If you live in the area and say "I'm a neighbor" when you walk in, the visit is FREE!

I'm not sure, although I actually still see Lauren Mufson - the Donna from that tour - and her husband - and their new daughter(!) - from time to time.  Next time I see them, I'll ask. Although, there are bunch of people from Tour 2 who, after their contracts were up, went into other aspects of the "biz".  When you and DR Ginny and her DH Richard and former DR Joey came to see the show in Indianapolis, they had already been on the road for almost three or four years, and some of the people on that tour had been with it since the beginning.

And if you sing "Won't you be my neighbor," they give you a red sweater!    ;)

It's still on my "To-Do" list.  Sadly.  I've walked by it a few times, but have yet to go in.  I keep getting "distracted" by MoMA... and The City, itself.

My question for ASK BK day......what is your favorite Ronald Stein score?

Easy - Dementia 13.  An amazingly good score - when I did my Ron Stein album, his widow, Harlene, gave me a couple pages of his original score.

I'm up, and it's raining, so no long jog, at least this morning.  I guess jogging will be sporadic until we get over this little LA storm.  And that's okay - I'll just have to be VERY careful eating-wise.

singdaw - well, since Brian stokes Mitchell has sung "I Was Here" on several occasions, who knows?

Philip Quast recorded it on his "Live at the Donmar" CD...but it's no longer available. :-\

I'm glad I got it when I did! :D

This is from a whitepages.com search, DR DRUXY....you might drop this girl a card and see if it's her. Her age is listed as 65+.....if that fits the profile.

Thanks.

For a time, I jinxed our weather.  The moment I typed the "S" word, it stopped.  However, it has started again - not much, but a little!

I think the rain has abated but it's still very gray out and I doubt I'll take the chance of starting the long jog.

Seems we were remiss yesterday - and missed a celebration:

Let's join Schroeder

If you're wondering
"Now, how do we start?"
Just blow the music
Til you know it by heart!
We're gonna celebrate
We'll throw a party
Beethoven's Birthday!
