Well, you've read the notes, the notes were foolish, and now it is time for you to post until the foolish cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EXTREMOPHILE!
-
Well, my computer is still working...that's good. :)
-
...so far, it's still working.
-
Fortunately, nothing seriously foolish has happened to me while performing in a show. Other than totally forgetting the lyrics to "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" in a revue...and I mean COMPLETELY forgetting what I was supposed to sing, I've been fairly lucky (knock wood) while acting.
-
And now, to bed.
Hey, look! This is my Post #22222! ;D
Just had to share. ;)

Nothing like that ever happened to me in which I had giggling fits. I have had other things happen to me. I have witness funny unexpected things happen on stage but that will have to be another TOD

Another day, another five or six tax returns.
Actually, this pace has been fun, knowing it will come to an end possibly by Passover (April 7 or so), but certianly by April 15, and not gear up again in this manner until Labor Day.

Maybe this has been said before, but who's that movie-star-looking guy in Michael S's avatar?

That's a great look for you, Michael S. How much weight did you lose?

I'm back (at the office).
Way too much work to do so I won't be around much in the near future.

in the near future
But the far future is looking good.

Welcome home, DR Ben! :) I guess I didn't realize that you were traveling yesterday, or I would have offered VIBES.
-
Good morning, all! Welcome back, DR Ben! I look forward to seeing you for a full report and THE COUNTRY WIFE with Miss Helen Mirren is waiting for us.
More BABES IN TOYLAND writing today and a trip to the NYPL Theatre Collection ar on my agenda today.
DR TCB, I think BK's suggestion about a log might be a wonderful thing while you're at work on G&D.

re: last night's AMERICAN IDOL
*
*
I did not care for some of the same as DR MattH, Anoop and Megan. But i was not crazy about allison and loved Kris. I also thought danny gokey did great. And i thought adam was good. I wonder if he will keep his hair this way (i prefer it the other way). I preferred him last week. I thought scott was very good. But i thought lil was better than they gave her credit for. I agree with the judges that
she would do much better with a more contemporary song like mary j blige. But
at least this week she sang a song that could show off her voice. I feel bad for her cause she is a phenomenal singer who is now overthinking her song choices. She doesn't know what to pick!
As for the B3 i wouldn't be surprised if it was megan, anoop and matt. However it could be allison also. I think vote for the worst is supporting megan, which probably partically explains why she has never been in the bottom. I do like her style. I just don't think she knows how to pick songs or really perform yet.
-
BK, contrary to you, I actually find Shakespeare the easiest thing to learn. The rhythm and poetry make memorization of it very simple to me.

DEAR MARK,
forgot to tell you that I loved your post, 6 sins from BK of what not to do during a cabaret show. very funny.

Good morning!
Rainy and gray here this morning, and the rain is going to be on and off all day and tomorrow. So, boo! We're still about an inch below our average rainfall estimates, but it's been too soggy lately, and I need to mow that front yard one of these days.

The biggest snafu for me ever in a play happened during BIG RIVER. I was Judge Thatcher (among other roles), and in the opening number, I got pushed out onto the stage from a moving platform, so all I ever had to do when they called "places" was go sit in a chair. (Later in the number I did get up and move with the rest of the company). Anyway, we ran a month, and on one of the second or thrid weeks, I got onto the platform and didn't notice that I still had my bedroom slippers still on. (I had sort of high button shoes for my costume and had forgotten to put them on; they were very uncomfortable.) I did the entire opening number in bedroom slippers.

One of the immediate things that comes to mind (and there are sooooooooo many foolish waters from which to fish) is a time in grade school when I had the solo for some sort of student parent extravaganza, and a moth flew into my moth. Not knowing what to do, I swallowed the moth.
After all the show must go on!!!!!

Sounds like an April Fool's joke to me.

I think we've had a similar TOD before, because I think I've posted this before, but I will do so again. Ah, memories.
Not really "foolish" per se, but two horrible/funny things happened whilst I was playing Bill Sykes in OLIVER! The director had decided to have me use my own dog, a Basset Hound, for Bill's dog. And she had done very well in rehearsals. On opening night she must have "caught wind" of the audience, because as soon as I took her out in Act II (which opened with me singing MY NAME, IIRC), she just freaked out and refused to move, digging her claws into the stage. I handed her leash to one of the ensemble, sang my song, and then proceeded into the dialogue scene. I motioned to the ensemble member to take the dog off the stage. Instead this idiot girl walked her around the stage and then brought her back and handed her to me. Now the problem is, the set was gigantic, with two sets of stairs leading up and out into the wings. And that's how I had to make my exit. So here I am dragging my poor dog, who did not want to move, literally yanking her up an endless flight of stairs. It was in the early days of laveliers (am I dating myself?), and the sound tech unfortunately forgot to turn my mic off, so the entire chaste Mormon SLC audience was treated to me whispering fervently, "Come on, you f***ing dog!"
Moment two, from the same show. One performance the retractable knife did not retract when I stabbed Nancy. And due to one of those horrble things that seem to occur now and again, the actress had her head in a slightly different position than she usually did and I hit her lip. It split wide open and a gush of blood literally spurted up and over both of our heads. The audience thought it was a special effect and "ooh'd" and "aah'd" and actually applauded.

April Fool's Day greetings! This morning I had a coffee visit with my friend Becky, then I introduced her to Kathryn's Home Accents, one of my favorite shops here in Middletown. They have a lot of nice things on consignment (furniture, dishes, etc.) and they're a Vera Bradley dealer.
Last night, Rob and Mary Linda arrived from their Michigan spring break, which was extended a couple of days due to the death of her grandfather. The came here directly from the funeral, crashed for the night, and left early this morning to catch up with their spring quarter classes (which started Monday) at UC.

Preorders start right now - you know the drill - $19.98 plus $3.75 shipping to kritzerland at adelphia dot net via paypal.com. Given the dealer preorders, this one should go pretty quickly - and again, you have the BK stamp of approval that this is something you will LOVE!
TWO FOR THE SEESAW – THE CLASSIC ANDRE PREVIN SCORE MAKES ITS CD DEBUT!
Kritzerland is proud to present its newest limited edition CD – the original motion picture soundtrack from Two For The Seesaw, with music by Andre Previn.
A true Kritzerland Holy Grail, Two For The Seesaw is one of Previn’s most beautiful scores. The film, one of three that Previn scored in 1962 (the others were Long Day’s Journey Into Night and The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse), starred Shirley MacLaine and Robert Mitchum and was adapted from the hit play by William Gibson. Robert Wise directed (fresh off his Academy Award-winning blockbuster, West Side Story).
Previn’s score is wonderfully evocative and haunting, and features one of his most memorable themes. It perfectly captures the loneliness, yearning, and neediness of its two leading characters in one fantastic cue after another. The solo trumpet, sax, and trombone work is breathtaking, as is Previn’s writing for strings – romantic, rueful, filled with love, pain, and the whole damned thing. And then there’s the jazz element – and no one did the jazz element in film scores quite like Previn. It’s forty-four minutes of pure Previn heaven.
The CD has been remixed from the original three-track stereo session masters and it sounds as if it were recorded yesterday, only things recorded yesterday don’t sound this good.
This release is limited to 1000 copies only. The price is $19.98 plus shipping.

And now there are only 998 copies available. :) Thanks, bk!!!!!

Aw, DR DAW - You didn't have to buy me a copy too. ;)

Well, my trip to the library alerted me to a great new exhibit on Women Designers for the Stage, beginning with the original costumer for BABES IN TOYLAND and THE WIZARD OF OZ, Caroline Siedle, but I'm still not finding enough info on prostitution backstage and chorus girls' salaries in 1903. The best info comes from Irving Berlin's song, "How Do You Do It Mabel?" from 1911:
[1st verse:]
Mabel Brown came to town
All dress'd up in her gingham gown
And a ribbon in her hair
In her eyes a vacant stare
Joined a show, wrote her beau
Mabel wanted to let him know
She was earning, so to speak
Twenty dollars a week
Her beau came down to New York town
To see his Mabel dear
The minute that he saw her flat
He whispered in her ear
[chorus:]
How do you do it, Mabel, on twenty dollars a week?
Tell us how you are able on twenty dollars a week
A fancy flat and a diamond bar
Twenty hats and a motor car
Go right to it but how do you do it
On twenty dollars a week?
As Guy Bolton wrote in his bio: "Chorus girls get minks the way minks get minks."
-
Actually, as of this hour, there are really only two hundred and seventy Seesaws left.
-
DR Elmore - congratulations on closing the estate. Does this mean that the property on 122 has sold?
-
Had a nice breakfast meeting, shipped a few CDs, and now I'm going to prepare questions for the next LACCTAA event on Saturday.
-
The gray skies have cleared away, and I actually see blue sky. It's lovely!

Since I didn't have any leftover recorded shows on the DVR to watch, I went to the HD Showcase on my cable box and found the season three premiere for THE TUDORS there as an advanced teaser to get folks to subscribe to the service.
Though the series is still based on the facts of the reign of Henry VIII, artistic license is certainly being taken by having Jonathan Rhys-Myers looking still so young and relatively slim. They showed his leg in really bad shape, but otherwise he seems the picture of health and virility.
I enjoyed the first episode quite a bit. Rebellion in the north over the monastery burnings, etc. And a couple of gorgeous new men who have joined the court.
-
Then I sat down with my work project for the day - NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Even though I just watched this a year ago to review it, it still had me riveted from beginning to end. Really enjoyed seeing it again.
I haven't had time yet to do an A/B comparisons with last year's Blu-ray, but I will get to that this evening.
-
I began watching the new bonux features. There was one tongue-in-cheek "documentary" by Josh Brolin in which he subtly suggests the Coens are demons in disguise. That only ran about 9 minutes.
Then there begins a long series of interviews from late October through the Oscars as various members of the team sit down for interviews. I got four of them watched. There are many, many others to get to this evening.
-
I got a nice surprise when I got home this afternoon.
I filed my state income tax in February. Because I filed on paper it took this long to have it deposited in my savings account. The refund posted today and also today I received a letter from the state saying they had adjusted my refund amount. When I looked at their letter and the tax form I filed I realize that I transposed two numbers resulting in over $200 more in my refund. Now I can buy that house in Dublin ;)
-
Oh, and Druxman has no Internet access now and may not be back with us until he arrives at his new home.

And let's get serious, shall we? THREE pages? This is really beginning to irk me and you do NOT want an irked me. Not only that, the fact that a brilliantly brilliant CD like Two For The Seesaw has only gotten interest from FIVE people on this here site (the number just keeps going down and down, and I think from now on that those five people, who have ordered everything, will be the only ones who get the advance notice because frankly I just don't get it). End of irked post.

Back from the mail place - no real packages today, just more boxes.

I was only supposed to be working 4 or 5 hours a day but they have been so busy that I have been working 6 - 7 and it is just a little more than I can handle at the moment

Tomorrow I will only be working 3 hours because I have an appointment with the ear doctor at 12:45. He is going to see if he can restore my hearing by putting tubes in my ears. Right now I am totally deaf in my right ear and have maybe 60% hearing in my left
-
I hope DakotaCelt has been safe and dry these past few days and that Ben had a wonderful trip

Congratulations to Elmore on getting that particular monkey off your back!

BK I have not had a paycheck in over 3 months - the paycheck I will finally be getting this week will be for only 60 hours and I have bills to pay - so I am afraid I will not ordering the latest Kritzerland release this time around

No, my problem is that the radiation swelled my ear canals and I also have fluid trapped behind the ear drums. They thought the problem would resolve itself but since it's been 2 months since the last radiation treatment and there has been no progress the Oncology Surgeon and ENT decided that it was time to try some treatment

Not really foolish, but more embarrassing.
Back in 1978 I had just finished reading a book about CBS (Something Bloodshot Eye. Don't remember the exact title) It mentioned Ken Berry and his wife Jackie Joseph.
I was involved with a TV series where Ken Berry was the guest artist and I asked him during a break, "How is your lovely wife Jackie Joseph?" His reply, "We're divorced" The broke up the year before and the book didn't mention this. Boy was I embarrased!!

My goal was to find out what he looked like after the transformation, not how it was achieved. I suspect he did very little makeup at the time of the transformation since he was facing upstage with his back to the audience, and after he got offstage he applied the necessary makeup.

I listen to lots of British Radio but I had not heard of Musical Talk before you pointed it out to me. It's not the show on which my reviews are featured. That's called Showtime on BBC Radio Wales.
I have bookmarked Musical Talk though. It looks like a fun site. I will enjoy investigating it.

I have had to have several really strong telephonic conversations with the studio I'm using for the Ahmanson recording session tomorrow night. When I booked the session I told them to get me a good engineer and that I had to speak with him well in advance of the session to make sure I was comfortable with him and that he understood the session vibe and also what my sound needs were. I have yet to hear from him. Furthermore, the Ahmanson folks sent him the material he'll load into ProTools - they Fed Exed it and it arrived yesterday and this engineer was supposed to let them know the material was okay because if something WASN'T okay today was the day it had to be dealt with. This guy didn't listen to it as he was in a session, but assured them he would and would get back to them by end of yesterday or e-mail them. He did neither. As soon as I heard this earlier today, I got on the phone and turned into the BK most people would not want to be around. The booking gal had left for the day (at one-thirty), so someone else called me and I was quite pointed in my remarks about this engineer's amateurism and lack of communication and they told me they were trying to get him on the phone. Then the boss of the studio just called and said they'd get it taken care of and that this engineer would be calling as soon as they could get him on the phone. I told them that I expected to hear from him within a couple of hours and that if they couldn't get him that I wanted another engineer booked immediately. When these creep engineers do this sort of crap they make EVERYONE nervous and crazy - the Ahmanson comes to me because I make everything work smoothly and it's effortless - so this jerk has made me look bad and that's one thing I will not stand for. They heard me loud and clear.

It is now official. CBS announced today that after 72 years on the air The Guiding Light will end its run on September 18th. (Started on radio in 1934)

Is this a joke? Fvie pages at 4:00 p.m.? Is BK going through the posts and deleting every other one? Hmmm, that would make for interesting reading.
-
TOD: I sang in public once.
-
I have had to have several really strong telephonic conversations with the studio I'm using for the Ahmanson recording session tomorrow night. Where's Vinny?
With Waldo. And the cymbal player.
-
Vinnie is too busy doing the Pro Tools rig for big movie dates.
-
You'd think with eleven people on the board there would be more postings, but the eleven turns to nine to seven to five - people just show up, read, and leave and I find it insufferably rude.
-
For example, I do believe S. Woody was just here - and then just left. Someone explain it to me.
-
Or is it some big April Fools joke?
-
However, where are the IDIOTS who've been telling us day in and day out that today would be the day when all our computers would be infected by a virus. Those who understand these inane, stupid urban legends that happen year in and year out understand the stupidity of them - but so many people believed it it was amazing. You see how no one is posting?
-
I suggest we get a frenzy or three goin' on or I will become testier than I already am and I am REALLY testy because of this engineer.
-
I have nothing to post.
-
I need to go the bank. And this is most definitley NOT a joke! :-\
Ah well.... ;D
Be back soon.
-
I, who have nothing to post, will post nothing.

Great(?) news for Foodies!!!
Alice Waters Launches Frozen Line (http://civileats.com/2009/04/01/alice-waters-launches-frozen-line/)
;)
So... for $19.99, you get a terra-cotta plate that has been "rubbed with garlic and sprinkled with salt". Plus a small bottle of olive oil.
Yummers. I just love the taste of salty, garlicy terra-cotta. It can get a little crunchy, of course, but I guess the olive oil will help wash it down.
Need I point out that Alice Waters is not, herself, a chef? That she is a restaurant owner who has had to hire other chefs to make her famous? And that she is famously jealous of the talents of those chefs, and constantly aggrandises herself to compensate?
(Need I point out that I am so not a member of the cult of Alice Waters?)

Here's a post (broken up over several ;)): tonight I will again be seeing the local production of Jesus Christ Superstar (http://www.capitalplayhouse.com/). Friends of mine had tickets that they couldn't use, so I went last week. Hopefully, Jesus will actually sing for himself tonight. ::)
-
It turned out that Jamie, the actor playing Jesus, had lost his voice. I was speaking with Jamie's parents before the show and they told me that he was having voice troubles. I mentioned that in Jekyll & Hyde, Linda Eder had lost her voice and Emily Skinner sang the part from off-stage while Linda lip-synched. They quietly confirmed that the music director would sing from the pit while playing the piano and Jamie would mouth the words. Oy.
-
DR TCB, I think BK's suggestion about a log might be a wonderful thing while you're at work on G&D.
I wish I had the ability to paint word pictures the way BK does. I am afraid my journal entries would be very boring.
-
There was NOT an announcement before the show. They just did it that way. Some people noticed and others didn't. During intermission (but not before the show), the woman selling tickets at the lobby desk was telling people what was going on. I don't know how the performance went the day before, nor do I know how the Saturday night show and Sunday matinee went, but tonight is the first night back after two days off.
-
Vocal Vibes for Jamie, tonight!

I'll be working on NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN on Blu-ray today, the next Collector's Edition. Eager to see what additional bonus features will get added to what was on last year's Blu-ray release.
Fascinating, but that is one film that I don't think I'll ever want to see again. I felt splattered enough the first time.
-

Well, I am home from the bank. I can buy groceries now!
-
We are sorely lacking in Fool stories.
Here's another one:
First, I was born.
;D
-
Danise :) Hi. Now I will go back and read what your wrote.
-
I now have to carry the spray for under the tonge because the doctor thought I was very close to a heart attack or stroke but I can tell you that my stress levels have gone down now that I am with Sheena.
I still have to go for a stress test.
-
Hi Jane! :)
-
DR Danise, great news you haven't had to use the spray. I'm glad you are keeping it handy just in case.
-
Have you & Sheena been to the dog park?
-
I had a few panic attacks where I thought I would but it hasn't happened. I also have the chill pills. Haven't taken them either.
-
Have you & Sheena been to the dog park?
Not yet. I wanted to take her last Sunday but it rained.
-
Watching a motion picture on DVD - I got no addressing of packages done today, which means I'm starting at ten in the morning tomorrow and will work until all are done.
-
She really has taken a shine to Michele's Husband John. I guess she remembers her first owner(who was a man).
She likes to sit with him and is always trying to lick his face.
-
It seems we have had a streak of lousy weather on Sundays. Fortunately I don't need a dog park & we often see dogs on the hiking trails.
-
But she cries if I leave the room.
-
It seems we have had a streak of lousy weather on Sundays. Fortunately I don't need a dog park & we often see dogs on the hiking trails.
Sheena is really enjoying the extra attention. :)
-
That is so sweet of Sheena. They do remember. We had a dog who took a long time to warm up to most men. We figured she had been abused by one. She never growled or threatened, only seemed to take pleasure in intimidating men who were afraid of her. She was always extra gentle with women, children & old people who were afraid of her.
-
But she cries if I leave the room.
Awww. She deserves the extra attention.
-
Oh, and Druxman has no Internet access now and may not be back with us until he arrives at his new home.
I can remember what that's like.
Makes me wonder...
Myself, Jose, Druxy, Pogue, Edisaurus...
How many others of us have had major moves (meaning, not just across town but to a whole new place) since HHW got started?
-
Well she has managed to get John to change his mind. He really didn't want a dog or if they did get one he wanted a small dog. Now he wants one just like my girl.
-
When he does get a dog I hope your dogs get along. Then you can watch each other's dogs if needed instead of sending them to a kennel.
-
So how is everyone doing?
-
When he does get a dog I hope your dogs get along. Then you can watch each other's dogs if needed instead of sending them to a kennel.
That's the plan.

CONTINUED HOUSE VIBES!!!
VIBES IT WON'T TAKE MUCH LONGER!!!
-
DR JMK asked for health vibes. He will know more later after his doctor's appointment.
-
Health, safety and sanity vibes to all!
-
I'm playing the Montalban part, just in case anyone gets any big ideas.
I'd have thought you'd be playing the seltzer bottle!
-
I think it's going to happen. Maybe not as soon as I would like but it will.
I just found out the guy broke some major laws by getting more then 10% of the money up front and not getting the permits within 30 days after receiving it.
-
Health, safety and sanity vibes to all!
That's for sure!!!
-
So good to see DR Danise here and posting. ***VIBES*** that your situation gets resolved soon!!
-
Mega health vibes to DR JMK!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Danise! I am so happy to see you here. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.
-
So good to see DR Danise here and posting. ***VIBES*** that your situation gets resolved soon!!
Thank you.
-
DR Danise I hope when they go after this guy they work to motivate him to fix your place or return your money.
-
DR TCB is doing a play in Seattle :)
-
Danise! I am so happy to see you here. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.
Hi TCB! Thank you so much. I'm sure your prayers have been helping. :) Heck, I even joined Thelma's church and it didn't fall down! LOL!
-
DR Dakota hasn't been posting since she evacuated to her mother's house.
-
You joined a church. Are you still going now that you have moved out of her house?
-
DR Danise I hope when they go after this guy they work to motivate him to fix your place or return your money.
At this point, I would rather have the money. I don't think I want him to work on my house. There is no telling what he would or would not do to it.
What play are you doing, DR TCB?
-
Hi Danise! We've all been thinking about you!
-
Did he do ANY work on the house? Or just demolish and run?
-
You joined a church. Are you still going now that you have moved out of her house?
I think I will be back. I really liked everyone there. I just wanted to spend some time with my girl.
-
Hi Danise! We've all been thinking about you!
And I you all.
He got the walls back up but made a real mess of the bathroom and the kitchen. It is unlivable right now.
-
No sink in either the bathroom or kitchen. No power. No water. No toilet.
-
DR Danise I hope when they go after this guy they work to motivate him to fix your place or return your money.
They should make him do every single repair and rebuild - as part of his prison sentence! ;D
-
GUYS AND DOLLS. I am playing Brother Arvide.
-
For example, I do believe S. Woody was just here - and then just left. Someone explain it to me.
Oh, that was because der B needed me to do some driving.
He's getting quite adventurous, doing things like that.
Just an errand or two around town, but it was highly exciting.
-
Danise, did the TV station ever do the story?
-
DR S.W.W. it seems so strange to read about you driving. ;D
-
He put some kitchen cabinets in but gave me (for example) a 10 inch door with the inside running all the way back (about 2 feet) to the wall. That makes it unusable. I told him to install lazy susans but he didn't do it.
It looks like bits and pieces he had laying around and just stuck in there.
I said I wanted a brown roof. He made it grey.
I wanted windows with panes in them, he put plain. Still hasn't put the one in bathroom or Mom's room.
I wanted handles on all cabinets. He put knobs.
I wanted outlets in certain places, he put them where he wanted to.
It's just a mess.
but it was highly exciting.
For YOU, or for THE OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD? ;)
-
Danise, did the TV station ever do the story?
Alas, no. It seems that having that amount of money taken is not newsworthy. No one I know understands that. I know I sure don't. If for no other reason then to let people know about this guy.
-
Or in my case, I always say that if you don't like the way I drive, GET OFF THE SIDEWALK!! :)
-
OK, that story wasn't entirely true.
I'd come home after work, to check on my bank accounts (had certain checks been deposited, that sort of thing), and then left to get what we'd need for dinner. Der B hasn't been feeling too well, so I figured I'd just pop into the store and pop back home again.
Nope. He decided to follow me, in case I bought too much to carry. Oh, and he wanted to get some dried ears of corn, for the squirrels. Priorities, always priorities.
So, we get to the car, I put the groceries on the back seat and take the cart to the corral, and come back to the car... and there he is, sitting in the passenger seat, with a slightly satisfied look on his face.
After twenty-four years of his being the driver, he's taking a fancy to my squiring him around.
(But WalMart was out of the dried ears of corn. Poor squirrels.)
I think he willtruly learn the meaning of "customer service" when this is all said and done. It's just a matter of time.
Hello my very dear friends!
I wish I could tell you that I am home but that is still not the case. I am still in waiting mode for the county and the state to do their thing. Then I shall hire a lawyer to do his thing.
The good news is that today was Jeff's last day to respond to Consumer Protection (county) and I know that the state is also on the case. It's just going to take time.
How's Sheena? Great to see you Danise
-
S.W.W. & DerBrucer- ;D
-
I bet the birds and squirrels are missing me as well. I used to always have food and the corn ears for them.
-
Danise, before you leave the computer check your email.
-
DR Cilla is that the new you? Will you please post a larger photo so I can see you better?
-
Good to see you as well! Sheena is doing very well. Thank you for asking.
-
Danise, before you leave the computer check your email.
Will do.
-
I wish we could have a gathering again. I miss you all. That was so much fun.
-
I posted before reading. Glad you and Sheena are together even if it isn't at home yet.
Also glad you are going after this guy. Vibes that in the long run your house is better than you ever dreamed and you have some extra $$ to compensate you for all you've been through
-
I didn't expect DR Danise to leave so soon. I feel like I chased her away ;)
I just went to check my mail but it wouldn't connect for some reason. I'll have to check it later.
-
O.K. Thanks for checking.
~~~Continued House and Health Vibes for DR Danise!!~~~
-
I bet the birds and squirrels are missing me as well. I used to always have food and the corn ears for them.
They'll find you again as soon as you're back.
-
Danise, I'm just glad you and Sheena are back together. She's clearly needed you.
I wouldn't let that guy set foot in your house, or for that matter anywhere in your neighborhood. He's done nothing but damage, and forgive me for harboring anyone ill will but deserves some serious jail time. Get that money back, and pay someone who actually knows how to get the job done right. My big fear is that you're going to have to make some compromises, and the house will never be how you wanted it.
-

You know the sad part of all of this is that this did not need to happen. If he had only done what he was paid to do. I just don't understand people like that.
I've tried to be as nice as I could about it. I kept waiting, hoping he would do the right thing but now that I'm mad, I really don't care what the law does to him.
I am going to go after him and get what I can. You don't know the half of what it's been like feeling like I lost my dog and my home. I've been so majorly stressed. There was a point where I couldn't even talk. My voice went in and out and then I couldn't talk at all. The doctor said that was a sign that I could have really stoked out.
I honestly think he should be made to pay something for that.
-
Hi, DR Danise!!! How nice to see you here - we've missed you!

I feel the same way. I really don't want him to work on my house any more.
I also ordered ADT to be installed when I do get back in my house so Sheena and I will be safe.
-
Hi, DR Danise!!! How nice to see you here - we've missed you!
I've really missed you too, DR Ginny! How goes the retirement?
-
Ok, I tried to post this once....this photo was from early Feb. I've lost a little more since then. I'm not done with losing, but am trying to maintain here for awhile just to see if I can.
I didn't like this photo when it was taken, but today I was looking at my old newspaper ad with my photo from when I was at my heaviest. I held that photo up next to this one and the difference was amazing. I don't have that one here, btu do at the office, so I can post it tomorrow if you really want to see the before

DR Cilla you look great. Next photo I would like to see is the one in your new clothes that were a bit hit. :)
Keith is nearing the end of his "get back into shape" program which included losing 35 pounds.
-
Dinner tonight is some braised pork. Der B has insisted that I serve mashed potatoes, as well. The braising liquid, nice and oniony, should make a nice gravy.
-
If I could just win that darn lotto. We have PowerBall now. It's up to 109 Million or there abouts. Sigh.

Thank you TD. What's the weather like in Pittsburgh?
-
I am so not retired.
Once the season kicks in, I'll be putting in more hours per week than I did back at the insurance company.
We've already hired two new cashiers. Hopefully, it will be a busy summer.

Nice weather DR Danise. Are you able to walk Sheena where you live? In the summer I miss evening walks with the dog.
-
WINNING THE LOTTO VIBES FOR DR DANISE!!!
-
Thank you TD. What's the weather like in Pittsburgh?
It was sunny and warm, but windy today. . .I've been wearing shorts to work for the past two weeks. ;)
I suppose that's more polite than going commando.
;)

We've been talking about going on walks in the evening but I don't want Sheena to get used to it or she will want to go all the time. When the time changes back and it gets dark early, I don't like to go out.
-
That won't happen for 7 months. You can slowly cut back the walks in October.
-
WINNING THE LOTTO VIBES FOR DR DANISE!!!
I'm all for that!
Hate to say it but I am going to have to go. It's been so great talking with everyone again. I will be back soon.
Thank you all for the vibes, good wishes, prayers and good thoughts. You people really are my family. I don't know what I would do without you.
Good night!
-
Do you have sidewalks where you are?
-
DR Cilla you look great. Next photo I would like to see is the one in your new clothes that were a bit hit. :)
Keith is nearing the end of his "get back into shape" program which included losing 35 pounds.
I don't have any of those yet. Just haven't been anywhere with a camera and my new clothes on
-
Some sidewalks. I really don't know this street.
-
Take care, Danise! Come back soon.
-
Very nice picture, Cillaliz! ;D
Thanks George!

WOW!
Thanks TCB!
-
DR Cillaliz - you look great!
Thanks Ginny
-
Cilla, I believe you are now thinner than when I first met you & you looked great back then.
-
Time to get dinner on the table, and then it's got to be an earlyish night for me.
Hasta.
-
this photo reminds me... I need to color my hair tonight...oh, and do some laundry..better go.
Just don't get them mixed up and end up coloring your laundry and washing your hair!
At least my hair would still be clean
-
Speaking of hair, I washed mine & need to style it. I'll be back later.
-
Cilla, I believe you are now thinner than when I first met you & you looked great back then.
Could be. I don't really know. I seem to be fitting into smaller clothes than before even though the numbers are, I believe still a little higher. I haven't been this size in years. I'm getting lazy though and need to get back to exercising
-
Better go, I'd love to sit here with Boo on my lap, but I want to get some things done before Life on Mars.
-
DR. DANISE
Wonderful see my fellow Floridian Danise back on line. I know where you are coming from but yours it a little more extreme than mine was. Please take care. Don't get stressed. Things will work out in the end.
-
DR Cillaliz, you are looking swell!!! :D

-
good afternoon everyone
must now read posts. (2 days)

-
I'm posting & packing tonight for a 2-day trip to Columbus, OH, for a conference on prospect research - maybe I'll find some people there who are looking for a freelancer!
-
Finally some postings. I just addressed, I don't know, seventy to one-hundred boxes. I now have a splitting headache.
-
You look great, Cillaliz.
-
George, I would highly recommend that you make plans to come see GUYS AND DOLLS. Not for my performance, but our Sky Masterson is drop dead gorgeous.
-
Oh and George, please tell Josh when you see him that I would love to come see JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR, but it doesn't look like I will be able to get tickets.
-
DR Cillaliz, you are looking swell!!! :D
Thanks DR Daw
-
Thanks Michael S and DR Laura.
-
This isn't the photo I was thinking of, but this is from last year. I'm on the left

More BABES edits and my eyes won't uncross! Peter Foley is a great editor and I really appreciate his input, but he makes me think too much.

Wow Cilla, what a difference. You must be feeling really good :)
-

I will. I'm off to the theater right now.
Have a good rest of the evening, all. :)
-
Wow Cilla, what a difference. You must be feeling really good :)
I am, but I didn't realize quite how different I look until I started looking at photos today.
-
I used to have trouble controlling my weight so I would put a photo of me thin on the frig to remind me why I didn't want to pig out. Sometimes it worked ;D
-
2nd day read
now to BK notes
-
G'night!
-
Dear DAW
Where I work, everyone's hours have been cut.
I'm grateful to still have a job.
-
My friend Kevin was the guest star on LIFE tonight.
-
Thank you TD. What's the weather like in Pittsburgh?

;)
There's a FIVE-LETTER word for someone like you. . . . .
SWEET!
-
health and good vibes for everyone
-
goodnight, I have to get some sleep, tomarrow is a long day and night.
hope everyone has a good Thursday.
-
Good Evening!
Run-thru completed. No one died. That is all.
;)
-
And since I'm still at the studio/office, now I shall be heading back to my apartment.
Laters...
-
Life on Mars....
Oh Puhleese.
-
I finally got all those bonus features (almost all interviews: some video and some audio only) finished. Now I can see why they didn't do a commentary track. With all of these interviews, all of the stars said everything they needed to say about the movie in these.
-
Life on Mars....
Oh Puhleese.
Sorry, I loved it. I thought the denouement was splendid.
-
After I finished NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, I watched another NCIS episode from the season two box set. I did guess the murderer's identity (a patient in a hospital room bursts into flame). There weren't enough suspects to make it interesting.
-
I watched the penultimate episode of MOONLIGHT next. I will be so sorry to get to that last episode. I did enjoy this show so much.
-
Life on Mars....
Oh Puhleese.
Sorry, I loved it. I thought the denouement was splendid.
Oh, don't be sorry, there was a part of me that was disappointed and a part of me that was laughing
-
Page Eleven Dance!!!
-
LOST had a great Kate-centered episode. Really loved it tonight. Some very moving moments and a great showcase for Evangeline Lilly.
-
BTW, LOST won the Peabody Award for distinguished broadcasting today.
Other winners were ENTOURAGE, BREAKING BAD, and JOHN ADAMS.
-
And then I concluded my evening with LIFE ON MARS. Sorry to see this very entertaining hour drama series end.
I just read yesterday that the girl in 2-B who's been a pest in several episodes is actually star Jason O'Mara's real-life wife.
-
Good Evening, once again.
-I suspect I will be heading to bed something within the next half hour, so...
-
DR Danise - HI!!!! Glad to hear that there is progress being made in regards to your house situation. Do you have any idea if the County and/or State will be bring up the guy on charges since he broke the law? Or would you have to press charges in order for him to get prosecuted for those offenses? In the meantime....
Continue to enjoy your time with Sheena. :)
-
DR SWW - As for that Alice Waters article - Have you looked at a calendar today to see what today is?
;D
-
After tonight's run-thru, we decided to go ahead and have our weekly production meeting then and there instead of at its usual time: Thursday morning at 9:00 - a.k.a. tomorrow morning. So, I can sleep in a little bit, if feel like it. :)
-
My desk is almost clean! Really! No fooling! Of course, "clean" as it applies to my desk means that you can actually see some of the surface of the desk itself.
Woopdedooh! :D

'Night All!

Wow!!!

DR Dakota hasn't been posting since she evacuated to her mother's house.
On the news tonight, I heard that "Fargo is returning to normal". The river level is still high, and they are going to leave the sandbags in place as a precaution in case the melting snow ends up causing the water level to rise again, but it appears they are past the danger point. At least there's a sense of optimism in the air, and people are being allowed to return to their homes. Hopefully, that means that DR Dakota Celt will return sooner rather than later.
-
I got the next two Criterion Blu-rays in the mail today: THE WAGES OF FEAR and IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES.
However, I'll start tomorrow on HAWAII FIVE-O and get as many episodes of it watched as I can tomorrow. On Friday, I should receive GIGI on Blu-ray for review, and since it's after street date, I'll put HAWAII FIVE-O aside and do GIGI trying to finish it Friday afternoon (I'm going out of town Friday night). Then, I'll spend the remainder of the weekend on HAWAII FIVE-O and then do THE WAGES OF FEAR. Both of those don't come out until April 21st.
-
Guess I'll head downstairs to bed now.
Good night!
-
OK... Me very, very, very tired and sleepy...
Goodnight.
-
Finished with my viewing and I think I'll take a hot shower and then write hot notes.
-
Dear Matt H
In the Realm of the Senses, if this is the film I'm thinking of , I still remember the scenes as if it were yesterday. I guess that's what a great movie is about.
-
I checked on my neighbors apt., last night (she comes back in May). I think the tenant that moved out left me a note: clean the refig, clean the microwave, clean the keyboard and cover it, put the rugs that are drying back where the belong, etc., etc. ??
-
what kind of fool am I
one that is still awake
good night all.
