This is a bad example. Letting go would be not having negative feelings he won't return in spite of being told he will. DR elmore isn't the only one who said he will return. I have said it all along.

Does anyone remember the 1960's TV series My World And Welcome To It? It lasted one season and won 2 Emmys. Best Comedy Series and Best Actor for William Windom. Also in the cast Joan Hotchkis, Lisa Gerritsen (Mary Tyler Moore, Phyllis, Airport) and great character actor Harold J. Stone and Henry Morgan (Not to be confused with Harry Morgan of Dragnet and M*A*S*H fame)

It had already been cancelled by the time the Emmy's were given out. And it is certainly not the only show or actor to be recognized for a cancelled series.
