Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both same and old, and now it is time for you to post until the same old same old cows come home.

On my DVR:  a whole bunch of things that I need to tape onto VHS tapes so that I can take it back because it screwed up the recording of FOUR shows! :P

Last night Tom (of Oz) said:

The first copies of the HHW Birthdates Cd have been finished and shall be posted on Monday.

DRs who wish to have a copy and for whom I do not have a mailing address, please PM me here.

So far I have six definite requests!

If I'm not already part of those six, then add me to the list, please.

We will be on Long Island for the long weekend. I leave work at 11:30 for a 12:15 train. I will return on Monday. Anthony has work to do on LI so he will return on Wednesday.

Since I'm here by myself I will post some pictures to move us along.

We stayed in the "nursery" for a few days when we arrived and this is one of the images painted on the walls.

Most of the time we ate in (the place was teeming with foodies who wanted to cook) but we did go out one night to a place called The Bubble Room, a kitschy place full of retro memoribilia and very large portions of food. This photo opportunity presented itself as we walked in the door.

This is the tray of desserts presented after a meal large enough to feed the Russian army. I had the chocolate cake if you're wondering.

On one of our sojourns we had breakfast at a place serving "the world's best breakfast" (that's what the sign said, I couldn't argue)

Since I won't be around much this weekend (being on Long Island and all) I'll post a couple more pictures.

This was taken after lunch at the Lighthouse Cafe. Our friend is a "geocacher" Some of you may know what that is but if you don't, go here for an explanation.

Geocaching

He owns the cache we were holding in the photo. He wanted to show us where it was hidden.

One more and then I'll stop. I don't want to fill up the uploader.

It's another picture of food and friends. It seems like all we did was eat and sleep (kinda like babies)

Sleep and eat?  That's what a REAL vacation is all about.

Hmmmm working the next two days.

After looking at all 12 of my lines, I decided I didn't want to drive 70 miles a day for five weeks doing MIDSUMMER.  There ARE small parts.  I haven't seen the cast list, but I do know that the man she ORIGINALLY offered the part to certainly is a BETTER actor than the part would indicate.

My problem with this director - who is an instructor at the local university - is that she has cast mostly University people in play.  She has set it - in her words - in a indefinite time.  The royals are "University people", the mechanicals are "the locals", and the fairies are "children."  I don't like town and gown competitions to begin with....anyway....I hope she has a good show.

Bringing the posting tally up - that's what photos from vacations should be all about.

Good morning.  I'm feeling much less crabby after a good night's sleep.  But i must head to Brooklyn this morning, whichj may make me crabby all over again.

Crabby Appleton, the meanest man in the world!

'My name is Crabby Appleton,
I'm rotten to the core
I do a bad deed every day,
and sometimes three or four.
I can't stand fun for anyone,
I think good deeds are sappy,
I laugh with glee, it pleases me,
when everyone's unhappy!'

He was from Tom Terrific (with Manfred, the Wonder Dog) which was on Captain Kangaroo!
