Help!

Does any DR have a CD of the show WORKING so that they can make me a copy?  I had the cassette - but it is missing, and I would like to have a copy for a friend who is doing the show in November.

I have plenty of copies of Working since I issued it on CD back in the day - send me an e-mail.

Done.  Excellent!

I am confused then.  Which one is friend's with DR Vixmom?  I thought it was the one without the partner Joe.

William F. Orr is the friend of DR vixmom.

Can't we get rid of BETTER WITH YOU?  or at least get the show better writers?

What is BETTER WITH YOU? I only watch reruns of BONES and LAW &  ORDER and the Housewives of You Name It.

I comes on between THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY and is the CAROLINE IN THE CITY/SUDDENLY SUSAN of this season.

Thanks.  Then I just mixed up who went with Joe.  William F. Orr is a nice guy & I do miss his posts.  I really only mixed up which one belonged with Joe.  I remember meeting Orr in NY.

I forgot to mention, DR cillaliz, what a fantastic photo that was! I was going to download it for my "friends file" of photos, but I couldn't take it off the newspaper's page. When DR edisaurus - where is she these days? - was working on the birthday DVD for BK, I was happy I had a photo in my files of the late Richard Valley to send to her for inclusion.

Thanks, I think I may have gotten the photo let's see if this works

I was talking on the phone with my mother and scrolling through the posts (shh, don't tell her...).  It's always a shock when we learn of the death of a DR.  Being a reference librarian, I searched the Social Security Death Index and found that a William Lurie of Queens, NY, who was born in 1942 died on July 2, 2010.

I was looking over Mr Lurie's posts back to 2004, and I was surprised to fnd them much less negative than I remembered, and I was wrong.  I could find nothing about a sickly partner, though.

I guess a lot of my dislike for him stems from his cast recording list posts.

Now I can't get Melba Moore singing "Purlie" out of my mind...

...and she's LOUD!

LOL! (Laughing out LOUD!)

Here's Melba Moore in PURLIE:    Was she a precursor to American Idol, I wonder?  The encore is especially thrilling, though!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oFZV7fAbaE
I loved that video. "Purlie" seemed like it played forever in the early days of cable. Is the whole show available on DVD?

I think I prefer Ms. Moore's version before she found out she was a star.

I know that Mr Lurie had a partner, because DR Ben had met him.

I remember the name Joe well.  It is the two Williams with middle initials I found confusing.  I remembered Orr in Long Island was who I met as he is friend's with Vixmom.

I will shortly be on my way to the Gardenia.  I did a three and a half mile jog today - I'll eat lightly at the club then go out for something a bit more substantial after the show.

I like it too.  Nothing against Paul but I think you should remove him from this photo since he is kind of in the background & make it your new avatar.
