I'm replicating the Two's Company DVD right now, so anyone who is interested in obtaining a copy of the show should drop me an e-mail asap.  The cost will be between ten and twelve dollars, although I'd like to keep it at ten.

Good Morning.  I need to go take Sugar for a walk before it hits 90 outside.  Be back in a bit.
I left too late this morning & ended up keeping Sherlock in the shade, walking back & forth along the creek.  He was very happy, I didn't get enough exercise.

OK-- I want everybody to get better RIGHT THIS MINUTE!!!

Me, too.   This litany of "woe" is depressing.

Well, DR Ron Pulliam, the minute I feel better, you'll be the first to know!

The washing instructions on the label of the T-shirt I am wearing:

"Take off shirt.  Machine wash warm with like colors.  Tumble dry (in a dryer).  Do not bleach, dry clean, or pound on rocks.  If you insist upon ironing-- be careful.  Do not remove tag-- something bad might happen."

I have shared this little tidbit before, but I learned to read and write via phonics, which led to an unintentionally hilarious misstep when I was in First Grade.  We had a little newspaper where we all wrote little articles, and I devoted one article to my father's exploits as a soldier.  Except I spelled "war" as "whore" (what would the pronunication site make of that I wonder?).  So my article stated my father had been in the whore and my mother hoped he was never in another whore again.

;)

I'm on my way back to NYC. The auditions went well, and the theatre complex was/is HUGE! We ended up having a pretty full day, so there was no time to make a break for some Shoo-Fly Pie. However, I did pick up some peanut butter cookies and chocolate-covered marshmallows. Hopefully, there will be time for some pie next Monday.

Well, it's early, but it's time for me to leave.  I have an early birthday party to go to, then to my parents'.

Until later!

Oh...

I ended up having to scrap my Philly stopover. My friend who I was going to stay with was told by his doctor this morning that he might have come down with swine flu, so... Next week. Maybe.

He's actually over the worst of it, apparently, since the worst of it hit yesterday. He thought it was "something he ate", but woke up today quite fatigued. He was already scheduled for a routine check-up this morning - which is also why he didn't bother going in over the weekend. So... He just needs a good night's rest tonight. He's a bit of a health and fitness nut, so the effects and duration of the flu were on the "short" side.

My accent is "Inland North." What the hell?

Whenever I have talked to you, your accent always seemed more "Sailor's potty mouth."

Why do people who have good movie ideas ruin them with crappy endings. Tonight I watching KNOWING with nicolas cage. Although he wasn't really that great in it, i thought the movie was quite good till the last 20 minutes. Whoever came up with the ending IT WAS NOT A GOOD ONE!

Well. . .I've taken to not calling Borders by name anytime I post on the net about work happenings. . .
When I was hired, we were told we weren't allowed to post anything online about Borders' policies, but about six weeks ago we did have to sign a document stating the same thing.
Personally, I think it's a free speech violation to not speak about how one's work day was.  I would never go into detail about company policy, but I would speak out about stupid customers - like the ones who ask if all the coffee beverages have coffee in them,  but as I said on another board (The Scarlet Street Forums), it's very interesting to watch a company do everything in its power to commit commercial suicide and to stand on the sidelines watching it crash and burn.

Imagine if B*****s employees were encouraged to write about the great books just arriving. The hidden gems, the stuff they’ve just read. Tweets about upcoming readings. There are so many ways you could make this work.

By the same token, we ARE required to recommend items which have been selected by the higher echelon, whether or not we think it's a valuable item - that's where the "acting" comes in.  It is always useful to be knowledgeable regarding your product be it in food service or in retail, but, it takes some real skills to recommend a novel which most people have compared reading to watching paint dry. . .
