Well, you've read the notes, the notes were concertized, and now it is time for you to post until the concertized cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HOBNOB!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
And now - BK into bed.
-
First post after BK.
-
Congrats again on the successful concert...except for the 20 minute speechifyin'! ;)
-
This is interesting...the original theatrical release of Divine Madness is 93 minutes long, and the shortened VHS/DVD release is about 87 minutes. But the streaming version on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075KKYVM2/) shows "1h 33min" as the running time. I wonder if they're actually streaming the theatrical version.
-
However, I'm not going to pay $2.99+tax just to find out that bit of info. ::)
-
I hate to sound stupid (although I frequently am), who is James?
-
And why won’t today’s notes come up when I hit HAINES HIS WAY?
-
Today, I get to sleep in! I don't know if the family is getting together today or Sunday, or at all. I'll find out soon enough. Otherwise, I might go into work for a bit to start cleaning up my cubicle. We're rearranging/remodeling our part of the building and we have to have our individual areas ready for whenever it happens. :P
-
And why won’t today’s notes come up when I hit HAINES HIS WAY?
You just need to refresh the page. I had the same issue, but when I refreshed, it updated to the new notes.

I refreshed it twice.
-
Third time is not a charm.

Oh, no! I don't know what could be the problem.
-
I suppose it doesn’t really matter, I just went to the column Archives, but it is weird.
-
But who is James?
-
Oh well, back to my crazy Titanic book.
-
Good night, George.
-
But who is James?
I assume it's one of BK's jokes...like when a rich person tells his chauffeur named James to drive him home.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
And now, I'm going to start chapterizing Bette Midler's Divine Madness, the theatrical version. We'll see how far I get before I go to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
BK, I am so sorry to hear of Marsha's death. I too saw her in Peter Pan, and I was fortunate to meet her through you in one of my LA trips. She was a lovely lady.
-
I had a horrible night of sleep. Two much walking yesterday did my legs in, and they cramped and ached all night. As soon as I can this morning I will reschedule Thatch's vet visit to next week. I can barely walk today.
-
Kitty cleanup is over. I don't know what the fat hell is going on with my checking account or the US Postal Service, but several checks I mailed two weeks ago have not yet cleared the bank.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Condolences to MR BK on the passing of his friend. Theatre friends seem a bit more special than just regular friends....they seem to become friends more quickly......
-
Matinee vibes for MR BK & Co.....as for Henry.....get the hook.....
-
I think Sean Astin played HOBNOB in the Lord of the Rings movies....
-
Very sorry to hear about Marsha Kramer.
-
Got a rehearsal from noon to four today, then this will be my last evening off for the next entire week.
Tomorrow is sitzprobe and tech, and thus beginneth Hell Week.

-
Happy Hell DR CHAS SMITH.
-
Those Vixes are probably singing “On the Road Again” right about now.
Or maybe a rousing chorus of “The Yellow Brick Road”.
-
Ah yes....travel vibes for the VIXES.....
-
Happy Chinese New Year. Welcome to the year of the Metal Rat.
-
Happy Hell DR CHAS SMITH.
As the signs on I-71 say, DR Jrand69.... HELL is REAL!!
And don’t we know it.
-
I've cancelled Thatch's visit to Dr Romero, taken the recyclables to the basement, and I can barely stand on my left leg, much less walk on it.
-
I always forget about that wonderful red H!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy Chinese new year!
-
BK, so sorry for the loss of your friend.
-
And the word of the day is: HOBNOB!
Spelled backwards, it Bonboh.
-
I must get up and start cleaning.
-
I forgot a cowboy yesterday:
Bronco Lane.....Ty Hardin in BRONCO....
-
I did like him
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep - I was in bed not long after midnight and fell asleep by twelve-forty, but woke up around three. I stayed in bed and eventually fell asleep again.
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater and then to the Autry.
-
Bernstein awaits......
-
If Hell is real....well.....I am doomed.
-
I am the proud owner of a new washer. Sheets are spinning. There’s a timer. 35 minutes left. Then the next load.
-
Back to cleaning.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, Bruce. It's always difficult to lose our friends.
-
TCB, James is the guy who's supposed to hold the ladder steady. But I want to know who Henry is.
-
Travel vibes to the Vixes. They should be almost there.
-
It's been a crazy week. I caught a bug last weekend--not bad, just minor--but it's been tough to get back to 100%. It's really difficult to get rid of it.
-
Hi, Jeanne.
-
Third load of laundry in.
-
I've been lining up a new cleaning person, but scheduling has been difficult. It always is. Don't know yet if he'll be here tomorrow or not.
-
Happy Chinese New Year. Welcome to the year of the Metal Rat.
Do you know any more about the Metal Rat, Jrand?
-
Feel-better-pronto vibes to Larry.
-
Good health and sanity to all DRs.
-
My neighbor who is never sick is coughing away. Not encouraging.
-
Congrats to John G on his new washer. Laundry vibes. I hope you're very happy with the new machine.
-
TTFN.

It is a good feeling being able to do laundry.

I expect, like me, you are slow to get over things. It really hasn't been that long yet.
Getting back to 100% vibes!

Producer Margo Lion has died.

All I can say is: Good! When she was producing The Triumph of Love and Jeff Stock wanted me to orchestrate it, she treated me like garbage and refused to interview me. "We don't want that little Goodspeed sound," she said. Then her choice crashed and burned. Well, she finally hired Bruce Coughlin and got that little Goodspeed sound.
-
Danny Burstein is just hilarious in Fosse Verdon. Didn't recognize him at first.
-
That's an interesting post DR ELMORE.....I wonder who will orchestrate her funeral?
-
DR JEANNE here is a website that gives you some predictions....your animal is determined by your birth year - I am a tiger.
Each year is an animal and an element....this year Metal Rat.
This is a very good site to check to see what it is up for us.

I was born in the year of the Rat. I never heard it called Metal Rat before.

I would love to.

I wonder if I should apply?

I saw that in the news this morning and thought of you.

Jrand, thanks for the link. I hadn't heard of that site. They claim 2020 will be prosperous. I hope that's true.

I lucked out and was able to get a massage appointment today. (Saturdays fill up quickly.)
While there I learned that my acupuncturist, who I've known for 5 years and never known to be sick, was sick for a week and a half. My massage therapist, who is about thirty, was sick for two days, then took some concoction of Chinese herbs and is now quite well. I feel I did well by losing only two days.
-
We had a nice break from the rain today. It was lovely out, except for the first part of our walk when we were going into the wind. I would have been fine had I worn another layer or a vest. After that I was very comfortable. 57 degrees in the sun :)
-
Finally back from a rehearsal I didn't really need to go to, since it was basically just a line-through, although I did clean up a few things.
-
Then we did our matinee, which was pretty great. And while I rarely toot my own horn on things like this, as funny as last night was, I was on fire today - could do no wrong, everything got huge laughs and I was off the script as much as I was on it. That can only happen when it's a great audience and boy was it - I knew it the minute I said the first line of my opening, which was not scripted. More in the notes.
-
We were taken to a dinner after - after last year, I really shouldn't have gone - so noisy and my voice just got completely shot there (it was fine, otherwise) and the food isn't very good. I took my leave as soon as I was done.
-
Page three?
-
Really?
-
Let's move on, shall we?
-
Four!
-
Hello from Florida
-
I did all the driving today.
-
I had made sandwiches before we left Ny and had them in a cooler along with water and apples.
So we only stopped to gas the car and used the facilities there at the same time.
-
We had the free breakfast at the hotel then I drive straigh5 through from NC to th3 time share with just 1 stop for gas in Georgia.
-
We arrived to th3 timeshare by 3:30 and by 4 we were in our u it, van unpacked and all unpacked
-
We took showers then headed over to see the kids at their apartment
-
Vixter made dinner. Meatloaf, oven roasted potatoes, peas, dinner rolls and gravy
-
Delicious
-
We visited until about 9:30 tthen headed back to the time share
-
We stopped at the local Walgreens and picked up some milk so we can have tea in the morning
-
And now off to bed!
-
Glad you made it safely to Florida, Vixmom.
-
All the best to the Vixter and the Vixsil.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Most unseemly.
-
I've just been listening to music and relaxing.
-

You planned that well.

Please say hello to the Vixter. How far is their apartment from your timeshare?
-
Good night, all.
-
'night.
-
Good evening.
-
Oh dear.
-
Another slow night.
-
Page 4? Really?
-
I guess it could be worse.
-
Actually, it has been worse.
-
And recently.
-
One more post.

And now, to ketchup on today's posts.

I really like that show. I would've loved to have heard your orchestrations, Larry!

That's too bad.

That sound really good...except for the peas. ::)

It's raining here in Tumwater right now...which, since it's after midnight, is the morning.
;)

And now, I'm going to start chapterizing Bette Midler's Divine Madness, the theatrical version. We'll see how far I get before I go to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
Well, I started chapterizing right after I signed off, and then didn't get to bed until about 5:30 am!
-
I started working on it, and was doing some research on the actual track titles.
-
Well, I finally found an image of the back of a CAV laserdisc (different format than a regular laserdisc), and that showed actual track names.
-
For one scene, I just wrote "Scene" because I had no idea what it could be.
-
But this CAV laserdisc image used the title, "Pantomime"...that really made sense!
-
PAGE SIX DIVINE MADNESS TRACKS DANCE!!
-
I was VERY happy when I found that!
-
I was especially happy because this was a commercially released product that had the spelling of Delores Del Lago's last name (Delores is a character played by Bette Midler).
