My darling kind sweet thoughtful DH just suprised me with a new Kodak easy share digital camera model 7340 4 .0 Mg and video with sound capture AND he also included a new case and a 1G memory card.

He said he felt bad about running over my last camera with his car (twice)

(I guess he's forgiven me for dropping it behind the rear tire  of his car and leaving out in the rain all night!)

hmmm I'm beginning to get a great idea about how to get a new cell phone....

Five after nine and nobody here but us chickens.

Something's going on five doors north of me - ambulence and fire engine.  I suspect someone has become ill.

I'm here.   :)
Michael T. Weiss is pretending to be a prison guard.  Just think of how much more of Mr. Weiss we would have seen had THE PRETENDER been a show on HBO. . .
(Yes, I still have a sense of humor).
Coping, but busy with all the little details which crop up AND I'm finally returning to work in the morning.  The first flowers seen when entering the viewing area were a very large basket signed FROM YOUR FAMILY AT SAM MORGAN'S, so it will be nice be with THAT family again.
Back to Michael T. Weiss. . .or Jarod.   Take your pick.

I just finished reading yesterday's posts, so it looks like it will be tomorrow before I read all of today's.  Accordingly I have missed the results of Rodzinski's interview.  How did it go?  How is Elmore?  How is Jane's toe?  How is td and his family?

Good Evening!

Back from the show...  Another good show tonight - and I'm afraid I was feeling a little "too" comfortable in one place...  ;)

DR Ginny - The show runs 2:35-ish.  We're doing BC/EFA collections this week, so that adds another 5 minutes or so to the proceedings - but it's a worthwhile 5 minutes.  *And as of the second to last day in Memphis, this company of Mamma Mia! passed the $1 Million mark in collections - in just about three years time!  Every bit of pocket change helps.

-And we've noticed that the parking spaces close to the theatre "disappear" early, so plan your arrival time accordingly.  *We've discovered that it's actually easier to park on the side streets in the neighborhood - makes it easier to get out.  But they do have police directing traffic too.

Joke's on me department:  Well I just got back from the opening night of the new session of my Tigard Pops Choir.  Remember a few weeks ago when I posted about the daffy lady who sang "Granada" in a belly-dancing outfit with her accordion accompanist husband at the big regional cattle call auditions?   And how she turned out to be a gymnastics coach for the Czech rhythmic gymnastic Olympic team.  Well guess who showed up for Tigard Pops tonight?  In her gymnastics coaching sweatsuit.  (She actually has a great semi-legit soprano, so I'm not complaining).

I actually didn't put two and two together until she brought me her resume (this is a community choir, LOL) and a CD of her performances, all with accordion accompaniment.

I talked to her for quite a while tonight and it turns out she was an Olympics judge, too, for several Olympics, including LA in 1984 or whenever it was.

DR Jrand - AEA's usual call-time is 30 minutes before curtain - earlier if they have a wig, make-up and/or fight call.  For musicians (AFM), it's "technically" by the downbeat - although most people get there earlier just so that other people don't start to worry - and to warm up too.

-I guess I could just google the model number....

But, hey, it's a post!  I shall not LOLLYGAG!

I always arrive about 65 minutes before showtime and park in the lot next to the theatre.  Usually no problem.  And I love to people watch!

Is anyone else as bored with the new Republican Conservative talking-point phrase of the week "culture of life" and how they are trying to exploit the Pope's death for their political agenda?  Jon Stewart skewered them on this point in fine style tonight.

What happens to people when they get to Washington D.C.....all those satires that I used to see on TV when I was growing up with those stereotypical politicians turned out to be not so far from true.

Jack S. Phogbound is alive and well on BOTH sides of the aisle.

Tonight on PROJECT GREENLIGHT - the producers & the director specifically told the casting director Michelle Morris Gertz that they were not interested in a particular actress for a specific role....someone named Navi something. Gertz brought her in for a second reading and didn't purge her name when they started seeing a second round of actresses.  THEN Gertz called the New York office of the production company and without telling the producers OR director - Fed Exed the tape of this actress and the NY office okayed her and said cast her.

Is this an ethical thing for a casting director to do?
