I watched the second episode of THE TUDORS to begin my afternoon viewing. Superb storyline that held my interest from beginning to end, and lots of wonderful male eye candy, of course. Sad to see my beloved Steven Waddington go, and my beloved Jeremy Northam isn't slated to last the entire run of the season either.

Still, it's grand pageantry and a soap opera supreme.

FJL - forgot it was your season.

Back from a very good rehearsal - mostly everything worked very well - she's really getting the subtleties down, and the only real problems were with remembering the patter.

I've gotten a notice every year for the past 6 years.  Have only wasted a day waiting to see if I would go to a jury room for selection.

The other times I've been dismissed by phone.

Back in the early 1980s, I was dismissed by phone from duty, too. Those are the only two times my name has been selected.

Next, I watched last night's COLD CASE. This one was a VERY cold case, back to 1919 dealing with the women's suffrage movement. Interesting case, and I should have been able to guess the killer's identity, but I was led astray by one clue (a black eye) and got fooled.

Next, I watched last night's RENO 911. Some good blackout sketches (Dangle knowing a guy's face at the opening was very funny and loved Junior stopping a speeding car and getting intrigued by how modified the car was), but the born-again stuff was kind of lame.

I spent the last 20 minutes watching PRIDE & PREJUDICE again on HBO-HD. Since I have it on DVD, I didn't continue on to the end, but it's such an involving film that you can land anywhere within it and be transfixed.

I watched a "Without A Trace" Saturday night.  It was about a 9-1-1 operator who went missing after receiving a threatening phone call.

There was an all-too-brief appearance by Sean O'Bryan, a fine talent, as a doctor she believed raped her while she was in college.  Of course, she was wrong...her doctor was in prison.

I guess I won't have ANDY to kick around any more. NBC has canceled the show ANDY BARKER P.I. and will burn off the last two episodes on Saturday night at 8. I must say I'm not surprised.

Hodel danced with a bottle
Motel just wants a model
Hodel wants to wed Motel
And Motel - Hodel

What'll
Motel tell Tzeitel if Hodel says yes
Tzeitel would throttle him, oy what a mess
Motel wants to date Hodel
Hodel wants to date Motel
If Model and Hodel could only have sex
I could show ya someone who would happily kill her ex

(what am I going on about?)

...I will just get a regular bathroom -- nothing fancy.

Well, it is indoors! And the john doesn't need to dumped out of the window: the Pilgrims would be envious. Calvinists would consider it an unacceptable self-indulgence.

I got no packages today. Hopefully, the new Doris Day DVD set will arrive tomorrow. It shipped Friday, so I was hoping for today, but no such luck.

You're right, DerBrucer. It is an indoor bathroom, and that makes it a wonderful luxury. And I have two bathrooms, so that makes it a double luxury.
