A day or two ago, bk tantalized us with the news that there will soon be the announcement of a new Kritzerland release.

Well, it can now be revealed!

'HEROES' SPOILAGE

Regarding Monday evening's episode of "Heroes", did anyone else find it a bit odd that neither Claire nor her father, Noah, called the police to report her stolen vehicle?

It was, "Oh, please don't be mad.  My car was stolen.  I hope that doesn't mean you won't get me another car."

I've been chewing on this for three days...and it bothers me.

Yes, I did find that odd. I also thought it incredibloy stupid of Claire to leave the car unlocked (didn't she leave the keys inside, too?). Who does that nowadays?

TOD: The Corman LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS has always looked like it cost $1.50 to produce.

REEFER MADNESS also always looked very cheap to me, and naturally, as absurd as the eye rolling, overcasting the cast participates in.

Guess I'll head down now and get back to the DVD set of CSI: NY. I also have last night's new episode of the show to watch.

Thursday morning greetings!  DH Richard left quietly for morning prayer at St. Mary's and I didn't wake up until he returned at 9:30 with breakfast from Amy's Bread - a banana nut muffin and a bluberry/orange scone, each of which we split.  My throat is still sore, so he's treating me with Ricola, Cepacol, Tylenol, and Zyrtec.

We have dinner plans tonight with Doug & Jon, the friends who accompanied us to The Brain.  Maybe we'll go shopping (well, I'll shop, while Richard sits nearby and reads a book!), if I can get myself in gear.

DR Ginny and any other under-the-weather Hainsies and Kimlets - Well, I'm feeling fine.  Hmm... Maybe it's the lack of Monkey Cake that's causing the throat ailments?  Hmm... ;)

A family cold was circulating the day we were all together for Harriet's memorial service, so I figured it was only a matter of time for me.

DR Vixmom - I was also going to recommend Good Night and Good Luck.  And, although not about the McCarthy hearings, Quiz Show is very evocative of the era.

Throat report:
I felt a tinge of a sore throat yesterday. Today, instead of that, I feel it in my lungs and right ear. Definitely an unwanted visitor!

Needless to say, no workout today.

Last night I got totally engrossed in a new Laurie King novel that I'd been saving and didn't turn the light out until 1:00. Not good, when I'm under the weather--really need more sleep. I do love, love, love that Laurie King! Her writing amazes me every time.

What a husband you have, GINNY!

He's a real gem, DR Jeanne!  I'm so grateful he's still speaking to me after being Brain-tapped the other night.

DR Elmore - thanks for mentioning the bank.  Today's payday for me and I need to check on my automatic deposit and pay a bill.

I received some interesting news last night and am trying to figure out a way to make something happen that I'd like to happen, albeit it must be done very creatively indeed.

How's that for cyptic?

Apparently quite a few:

ARIZONA

Nearly one quarter of all cars stolen had the keys left inside

DR Elmore - thanks for mentioning the bank.  Today's payday for me and I need to check on my automatic deposit and pay a bill.

Well, the fact that I was told over an hour ago that things would be righted and still aren't has put a big damper on my running down to Tekserve to buy a new Mac today.  It can indeed be accomplished tomorrow but I am not pleased.

So many low, low, low budget films to choose from...and some of them are very good...but one that always stands out for me is THIS IS NOT A TEST (1962) starring my interviewee Seamon Glass as a police officer who attempts to lead several stranded motorists to safety before an impending atomic attack on California.

Despite it's lack of a budget and some questionable acting the film does make quite an impact.

Uh-huh.....cool (Angie Dickinson I know of), Who and WHO?

Jonathan and Jackie were the original Seymour and Audrey in Roger Corman's "Little Shop of Horrors"....among other B movies.

Jackie was married for many years to Ken Berry.  She also appeared in the last couple of seasons of "The Doris Day Show" as Doris' office friend.  ;D
