Thanks for all the Back Vibes. I'm feeling a lot less twinge-y and just generally achy now. -Which, I guess, I hope, is progress. -Hopefully the arnica will help relieve some of the soreness too.

Is it a topical treatment?

My listening pleasure of the weekend will be:

BART: The Songs of Bart Howard a rare recording that was pulled from the Painted Smiles catalogue. This was not produced by Ben Bagley.

This was one of 4 titles pulled from his catalogue that he did not originally produced.

From what I read a long time ago #1: Bagley did not pay the royalties to them.

One of them: The Grass Harp was re-released by BK on that other label. (The Painted Smiles release also had cuts from LOLA which was release in its entirety by Harbinger.)

Another: Mostly Mercer was re-released by Harbinger.

From what I read a long time ago #2
The other one was a Marshall Barer concept album which was pulled by Barer himself and he did allow anyone else to release it. At that time in his life he became very weird.

I looked at the gel, but opted for the "standard" tube of pellets from Boiron.

But I also bought a box of Salonpas pads. That will be my topical treatment.

Since you bought both on Black Friday, I guess you could say that they were both rather topical.

Not all of the shIitake mushrooms were used for dinner last night.  I sauteed them in butter & ate them with  leftover fried seitan.  YUM!!!

We had Thanksgiving dinner again tonight and it tasted even better.  Now we're watching SUPER 8.

I hope you enjoy it more than Bruce did.  We enjoyed it very much though his comments do point out the flaws.

I am researching the definition of country club or elegant resort wear, the evening dress code for our Tahiti cruise.

I think dressing for the Tahitian nights will be even more difficult.  I'll be casual but not very Tahitian in my shorts & tops.

This morning I went for a walk in the park, and this is what I saw:

I don't know if I have ever seen a photo of Sugar before.

Underpants!

That picture was taken while I was in the middle of a riveting story about a chair.

Country club casual was the dress code on Oceania two years ago when I was in Italy.

So, here it is, the middle of the night (7 p.m.) and the guy across the street is out on the sidewalk cutting tile with a saw.

Time for that Ethel Merman video.

Has this been discussed here - that Ethel Merman, Stephen Sondheim and Jule Styne combined to do a campaign song for John Lindsay for NYC mayor in 1965?

For real, no kidding:

Do you know if he actually wrote the lyrics? Or was it someone else?

I accomplished a good deal today. I've got the ROBERTA scores that can be copied numbered and ready to go, and I know which scores I need to construct from the orchestra parts. I've also got the stage band music to score in the next couple of days. We'll see how far I get by Tuesday.
