Good news from one doctor today. Blood sugar is much better and over an extended period of time. And if I would get off my butt and exercise more, it would improve even more, she said.

The thought of surgery in a few weeks doesn't make me want to exercise though. Maybe after the surgery.

Today's Bizarre Swag Department:  Accompanying the new horror film "Woman" the PR firm has kindly included a small rubber heart covered with fake blood.  Why am I dreading watching this?  :)

I loves me my LPs.

So Do I. The One Thing That Is Not Mentioned About LP's Vs CD's
Is:

When A Performer Or Producer(Or Both) Planned An LP There Usually Was A Distinct Sequence Planned. (How One Should Listen To The Complete Work)
Today ,We Can Randomly Program A CD To Play In Any Order We Choose. I believe We Miss A Great Deal When That Becomes A Possibility.

LOL, DR JMK - this photo is very flattering to Dayton!
I don't remember Dayton ever being that nice.

I didn't see a speck of the dirtiness that I remember Dayton to be.

I'm back from Encores! We are ready for Monday's orchestra reading.

Good morning, all! Today I am back to Encores! to help Joshie finish up MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG for Monday's orchestra reading. Before I arrive there, I have stops at the bank and the post office.

After that, I've got plenty of work here. Yesterday I adapted Roy Webb's 1926 orchestration for "The Pipes of Pansy," which he scored for PEGGY-ANN, for the DEAREST ENEMY orchestra, and I'd like to finish up my perusal and revisions for the score over the weekend.

Ths morning, around 6am, I had a ghostly experience: a woman's voice spoke German - I think it was German - into my ear. This is the second occurrence of my hearing a person speaking close to my ear in the past two weeks. Since no one living has spoken into my ear in the past fifteen or so years, it has to be a ghost. While it freaked me out at the time, I can't say I'm frightened. Curious, yes.

More coffee.

Were you sleeping at the time?

DR ELMORE it's probably a former residence of your address.....maybe not even your building....but your address.

DR JRand61, I just checked my daily horoscope online and it told me I'd have psychic experiences today!

Safe travels, Jose.
This is the same woman who, upon meeting me for the first time, asked if I could help her brush her teeth.  I said, "Sure," at which point she popped out her dentures and handed them to me.  :)

She was really a very sweet woman, though.  She was the only one in her entire, huge family (11 children plus parents IIRC) who survived the Holocaust.

Did she survive the camps or with help from someone?

An article in The Times today says that vinyl records are making a big comeback. I do hope not. I can live without all that snap, crackle and pop.

Bryan & Craig have taken most of my LP's.  Since Keith dismantled our record player I have no way to listen to them so I'm glad most of my favorites found good homes.

How about light exercise.  It should help you feel stronger following the surgery.

My favorite kind of light exercise, lifting fork or glass to mouth.

She was the youngest, and her parents pooled whatever little money they had and got her out of Poland or Hungary or wherever they were (can't recall right now).  the rest of the family ended up in the camps and perished.

Right now, my flight on Delta back to LGA is still listed as "On Time". However, I did notice that the American Airlines flight to LGA scheduled around the same time was cancelled. Additionally, my friend, Brendan, the pilot/violinist, is currently dealing with a 2-hour delay out of Newark to St. Louis for some unspecified reason.

In other words, your Travel Vibes are much appreciated.

**However, as for tomorrow's forecast for two inches of snow in NYC... :)

Hmmm, should we maybe stick to the Marriott Marquis building where vixmom has to be before dinner and where you have to be after dinner, so that neither of you risks more rough sledding than you need to do?

That sounds like a good alternate. Why don't we see just how much snow we have on the ground in the morning and take it from there?
