Otherwise...

I currently have about three pounds of chocolates from various vendors in my carry-on. ::)

;D

VIBES YOUR PLANE TAKES OFF ON TIME!!!!

The gate agent just announced that our plane has landed, and once they finish the turnaround, they will start boarding. I have a feeling that if all the booked passengers are on board before the scheduled departure, we're going to go ahead and start the journey back to NYC ASAP.

She was really a very sweet woman, though.  She was the only one in her entire, huge family (11 children plus parents IIRC) who survived the Holocaust.

Did she survive the camps or with help from someone?

She was the youngest, and her parents pooled whatever little money they had and got her out of Poland or Hungary or wherever they were (can't recall right now).  the rest of the family ended up in the camps and perished.
Wow!

Thank you for your response, Jane.  I couldn't think of a single thing to say.

When it came down to it that expressed it the best.

Just be glad that you aren't trying to fly out of Seattle.

When we lived in Seattle, the one thing we never got was a proper snowfall. Just lots and lots of rain.

We are on day three of pouring rain.  Poor Sherlock expressed his desire to go hiking my standing and staring at my car.  Poor boy, I rarely used to let the rain stop me from hiking.  Hopefully we can get him out tomorrow.

We had regular snowfall every year for the four years I lived in Seattle, but of course that was back in the Dark Ages.  :)

Before anyone is allowed to move out of the Seattle-Tacoma area, they are forced to go through a reprogramming where all sunny days and snowy days are removed from their memory.

Right now, my flight on Delta back to LGA is still listed as "On Time". However, I did notice that the American Airlines flight to LGA scheduled around the same time was cancelled. Additionally, my friend, Brendan, the pilot/violinist, is currently dealing with a 2-hour delay out of Newark to St. Louis for some unspecified reason.

In other words, your Travel Vibes are much appreciated.

We're expecting a "wintry mix."  I hope it won't be bad in the morning since I have to pick up a package at UPS.

My plane did pull away from the gate a few minutes early, but, then as a precaution, had some de-icing (-iceing(b)) done. So, that meant sitting on the tarmac for about 20 minutes before we started taxiing for takeoff.

But we're in the air now, and should arrive at LGA just a few minutes past our scheduled arrival time.

I should ask Craig & Bryan if they remember the phone call.  At the time it was very exciting.

And... I just watched the pilot for "Smash". Very interesting, entertaining. Alas, from the way everything has been set up, and each way each character has been introduced, I can already see some of the twists and turns that will be coming up. Or, hopefully, not.

Still a million people in the dark in Washington.  The two Narrows Bridges have been closed to traffic due to falling ice.

And a good time was had by all.
