Hi George. Glad your show is going well.
And the word of the day is: SHIBBOLETH!
TOD:
Man With a Load of Mischief - off Broadway musical from the 60's.

DR MattH, there is A LOT more Phillip3 on Tuesday's US Y&R (no rafe and adam although they are previewed for US wed).
I thought tuesday's show was one of the best in a while (although last friday's was good too).
Good Morning. Another hot day in the Valley of the Sun.

I had read this was going to be a red letter day, so I'm looking forward to watching it. Thanks for the preview.

I hope it does not get cut off due to the michael jackson coverage.
Since you're not really involved yet in the other storylines probably only the end will interest you.
DR JRand58 - great photos.
I like how you're updating the play: Sancho Panza checking accuweather.com on his wireless netbook! ;)
DR Michael Shayne:
It was Tucker Smith who dubbed Russ Tamblyn, not Robert Tucker (whoever that is).
DtM- Donnybrook?
Sez who?
(almost a Donnybrook reverence, sort of)
Just posted some rehearsal photos from MAN OF LA MANCHA...I am sure they will be immediately picked up by Playbill.com and broadwayworld, com for their UPCOMING PRODUCTIONS sections.

Hi, all. Well, hell week has begun in earnest. Sitzprobe last night. Dress tech tonight, then invited audience dress tomorrow and Thursday and our opening on Friday. Pray for Rosemary's Baby--I'm dealing with a director who has never done a musical before and does not seem to get that in a musical you want to treat the band (not to mention the MD) with at least a little respect.

another show
Walked past the magazine rack at WalMart today - and you can almost watch Michael Jackson grow up on all the covers.

Very exciting and intriguing potential international developments for both DR JoseSPiano and DR JRand58!!!! :D
Keeping my fingers crossed!
When MY BLOOD RUNS COLD was featured on the CBS Thursday Night Movie, Ms Judith Crist in TV GUIDE proclaimed it tepid.
Well, for those of you lke me who deliberately missed The Funeral, the news media is insuring that you do not by replaying the damned shebang on the news! Not one person there referred to the dead star as a sistah. Bums me out.
The article about Michelle Nicastro was very nice.
At least the burn is old news now.
In other news... It seems there's a chance that I - and Monkey - may have to brush up on my French and Flemish. Hmmm....
DR JANE - the UFO HUNTERS came to Indiana to tape a segment in May - they included our friends Jason and Rachel who run MRIPA - http://www.mripa.net/ - who asked us to participate as well. That is the episode that will air on July 22.
The production company - Lisa Pollack of Motion Picture Production Inc - http://www.motionpictureprod.com/ - VP of Non Scripted Development Programming signed Jason and Rachel up for a year, they are shooting their pilot on August 8th...and they want my sister and I as a family of Psychics as semi regulars on the program....including trips to various sites such as Stonehenge, the Mayan ruins, and other places of interest.
Hence -- my passport. Of course this is all IN DEVELOPMENT and we have neither seen nor signed any contracts....I think it all depends on the pilot, which is ALL about Jason and Rachel and which right now does not include us.
And that's the long answer to your question, DR JANE. News as it becomes available.

BK, since you're the Li'l Abner expert, I have a question (actually, anyone can answer, if they know). According to the editorial review/product description of "That Old Mercer Magic! (http://www.amazon.com/Old-Mercer-Magic-Jalala/dp/B0028R1M3C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1247004421&sr=1-1), "Standout tracks are; Spring, Spring, Spring from the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Li'l Abner..." But that song title is not listed on either the Broadway cast recording or the movie soundtrack, nor is it in the Internet Broadway Database (http://www.ibdb.com/production.php?id=2585) page for Li'l Abner. Is this really from Li'l Abner (maybe under a different title) or was it/could it have been written for a different show by Gene DePaul and Johnny Mercer and the reviewer got his/her facts mixed up?
I was going to watch THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, but it appeared that either an earlier episode was being shown or they played THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL instead (Susan Flannery isn't on Y&R, is she?) since at 1 p.m., it switched to the funeral. I set the DVR to record THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS from SoapNet tonight at 7.

The funny thing about the "king of pop" (I always thought the king was Elvis, but what do I know) has this media frenzy funeral that is ridiculous - and yet real legends, real bona-fide legends like Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly or Alfred Hitchcock or any number of far greater people who had far greater impact on the business we call show - those people don't get this kind of treatment or coverage.

Strange but true department: Gabe had his Hebrew lesson today for the upcoming Bar Mitzvah. Zach and I usually walk around the neighborhood where his lesson is. Today we were walking and spotted a fenced yard with a bunch of chickens and Zach said, "Wow! Look at those chickens!" At that exact moment another chicken--outside the fence--popped up in the flowers right next to Zach and he said without missing a beat, "Wow, look at *that* chicken!" So this chicken started following us. And I was a little concerned it would get hit by a car. So I went to the door, rang the doorbell--no one home. At this point the chicken is out in the middle of the road. I walk up to the fence (where the "inside" chickens are totally freaked out that Harold--what I named him, though I don't if he was a rooster--was "outside." And I ask Zach, "What do you think will happen if I call him?" And I say, "Here, chicken," at which point the damned thing runs right over to me and sits at my feet. So I gingerly picked it up and placed it back inside the fence! I have never picked up a live chicken before--who says you can't teach a curmudgeonly old musician new tricks?

I still find it funny that we're getting a hunk to pay a role thast depends on a lot of falsetto, a ton of deformed makeup and a silly mask. Has Sir Andrew finally turned gay?
The new star is making appearances on a lot of sites today.
Bruce, dying suddenly & at a young age increases the frenzy & emotion. I can imagine what it would have been like when Elvis died had the internet been what it is today. Elvis was the King of Rock & Roll ;)

That's out already, TCB, in a neat little LP jacket reproduction version.
DR TCB is there anything new in the Titanic book about my great, great uncle by marriage? I think it is 2 greats.
Cilla, I thought you would like the new Titanic book.

When Michael Jackson named himself the King Of Pop, everyone was outraged everytime the title was used. But the minute Mr. Jackson died, it has suddenly become gospel.
I have no problem with the outpouring of grief and mourning for Michael Jackson. In a way it is kind of a relief to know that our society still cares about something or someone other than themselves.

I haven't unsealed the book yet, because I want to be wearing gloves when I open it. But I doubt it. I believe it all photos from Robert Ballard's collection.

DR MattH, actually I'm gonna change what i wrote above. Apparently Y&R (today's US Tues episode) was shown on the west coast. So CBS might show it sometime during the night.
So they won't be showing today's episode tomorrow (which i think they should have done). This was a key show, and a lot of people are gonna miss it. Although i guess people can watch it on cbs.com.
Very exciting and intriguing potential international developments for both DR JoseSPiano and DR JRand58!!!! :D

Thanks, DR DAW. Me, too!

This was my other purchase last week. Unfortunately, I should have spent the money on photography lessons because I had a terrible time trying to take a good shot of this watch.
I wonder how A STAR IS BORN escaped the curse of WarnerColor?
Well the COMBAT is staged - and it actually looks very good. I am happy to have in my cast one person who knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING from choreography to music to costumes to hair dye for all I know. He can be counted on to express himself loudly about all of the above subjects.
There may be a Murder In Putnam County before August.
Yes DR TCB and DR GEORGE - Kenny and T.J. are very cute and very nice and neither of them is the subject of the sentences above. Kenny plays the Priest - DR MATT H's part, I think he has written, and T.J. is Pedro the leader of the Muleteers.
You should have let him cross the road and answered that question once and for all.
TOD: One of my guiltiest pleasures is Riz Ortolani's "The Yellow Rolls-Royce". I'd love for that to be on CD one day.

Haven't bits and pieces of that been included on one of the CDs in that "Nuovo Cinema Italiano" series? -At least I think that's what it's called.
I'll take rain any day. When the front door is open, you can hear the fountain in the lobby. If I close my eyes it reminds me of the waterfalls at June Lake Loop.
